The service here is extremely slow. We were there on a Friday night and while it was busy, it was certainly not packed. We ordered two margaritas and a drink for my son and our food came out before the drinks did. It must have been 30 minutes before we were served our drinks. The food was ok, but their portions are pretty small, the tacos are tiny and there are only two on the plate and each taco is gone in two or three bite bites. However, the staff was very upfront about the delays and were incredibly friendly. Their great attitudes were contagious . The hostess was very gracious and kept us informed. Fabulous newer spot on the beach. The homemade sauces blew us away, as did the queso. Tacos and drinks were solid. $2 tacos on Tuesdays this summer (ground beef and fried chicken). Two recommendations.. I'd love if this place could do ceviche/shrimp cocktail, and it'd be great if the fancier tacos (shrimp, fish, al pastor, etc) could all be ordered a la carte and not automatically in orders of 2 or 3 with rice and beans. Ordered a picture of margaritas that we didn't finish because it gave murderous heartburn in exchange for very little buzz. The free chips and salsa were gross. Specifically the salsa. It tasted like cold vodka sauce (and looks like it). It barely resembles the "salsa" you'd get elsewhere. The steak tacos were tiny. Each was 2-3 bites, making an order of 3 no more than 9 bites of food. They were served with a side of cold refried beans that barely filled a side cup that would normally maybe hold dressing or ketchup. Rice bowl was bland and dry. Tasted like almost nothing. My girlfriend and I are huge fans of Mexican food (and margaritas!), and we decided to give this place a try since it was close to her new condo in Salisbury, and it had outdoor seating which overlooked the center section of Salisbury Beach. What an utter and complete disappointment... To start with, our waitress was not the slightest bit friendly and could/would not answer any of our questions about the menu. We finally decided to order a pitcher of margaritas ($36.) and the drinks were actually OK, made with real lime juice and not the fake sour mix handed out at many places. But things quickly went downhill after that. Once we got our drinks we ordered food; tacos for my girlfriend, and a steak burrito for me. The waitress left and as we drank the margaritas we were wondering when chips and salsa would arrive, as we noticed that another table next to us had them. So the next time the waitress walked by we asked if chips and salsa were provided. The waitress simply replied "Yeah" and left. About 10 minutes later a young man came with chips and salsa. The chips had an unhealthy orange-red hue and looked like no other chips I have ever seen. There was no salt on them and they were pretty much flavorless. The salsa was worst, it was a pile of unappetizing mush with the consistency of pureed baby food. The were no discernible pieces of tomatoes or onions or anything recognizable, and it had an unpleasant chemical-like aftertaste. By this time we were starved and the margaritas had us craving something to munch on, so we reluctantly ate them. When our food finally arrive it was brought out by yet another young man, with no sign of our original waitress who seemed to have disappeared. My steak burrito was filled with a meat-colored mush (yes, mushy like the salsa, but with a few visible chunks of meat) that looked and tasted like it had come out of a can. No visible vegetables or rice, just a meat-colored flavorless mush. And my girlfriends tacos were laughably small, filled with what appeared to be different colored food(?) squeezed from a tube. By this time we had finished the pitcher of margaritas and we were thirsty for some water to help wash down the food, but our waitress was still nowhere in sight. We finally flagged down a waitress from another table and asked for water, but when it came it was warm and was served in worn-out looking silver colored plastic cups. After we were finished eating, our original waitress finally appeared and asked us if everything was OK. Not that she could have done anything at that point, since we had already finished our food. She ignored the credit card I had left on the edge of the table and disappeared for 5 or 10 minutes before she returned and finally took the credit card. Needless to say we couldn't get out of there fast enough, and we won't be back again. I'd give this place zero stars, except that the margaritas and people watching were decent so I gave it one. But if you're going for the food, don't bother. Both my girlfriend and I had upset stomaches for the rest of the evening, and we certainly won't ever return there. read more

Sin-A-Loa offers a selection of soft tacos, chicken nachos, elotes, yucca fries, steamed rice & beans, and a drink menu of tequila mixed drinks, cocktails, and 4 beers on tap. I stopped in here for food recently and sat up at the bar. The place was very busy, and there was a wait to be seated at a table. I was given a paper menu and an ice water after I sat down. I put in an order for Mahi Mahi Tacos ($10 plus tax for 2) and Yucca Fries ($6 plus tax). The atmosphere here is lively with colorful decor art on the walls and a classic red truck with gas pump at the far end. The place was a bit noisy with beat music playing in the background.  The place seem overwhelmed as the food took a long time to come out with runners from the kitchen bringing food orders to tables and the bar. There were also mixups with orders too. The Yucca Fries took about 35 minutes to arrive after ordering, but I was told they ran out of Mahi, so I order substituted the Fernando Soto Tacos ($10 plus tax for 2). The Yucca Fries were solid fantastic, thick cuts of yucca fried golden, hot & crispy with a habanero ketchup and mayo dips. The bartender kept peeking into the kitchen to check on food, but nothing was coming out quickly. The 2 Fernando Soto Tacos arrived after an additional 35 minutes of waiting. The tacos had tender grilled marinated pork belly slices with red pickled onions, jalapenos & cilantro in soft warm grilled corn tortillas. I dipped the tacos in the habanero and mayo sauces from the yucca fries. They actually ran out of food. The couple next to me sat for 30 minutes and was told no more food for the night, drinks only. They were not very happy. For now, this place gets 3 stars as the food was very good, but the long waits for food was very agonizing. Seems like the kitchen struggled to get food out and they need to be more prepared for the summer beach crowds regarding food supplies. Getting drinks at the bar here was no issue. read more

I've been eagerly waiting for this place to open. At first I was a little disappointed at how small and limited the menu was but I will say that everything we had was delicious. The nachos were really good - everything was very fresh. We also had the shrimp tacos, small but great, and the yucca fries, which were amazing. I'm hoping they enlarge their menu as they go. I think the atmosphere could use a little work - I would suggest dimming the lights a bit and trying to do something about the acoustics -- it's very echo-y. But overall, I liked the food and the drinks and will definitely go back, and soon! read more

Early Sunday evening, searching for a bite in the area I decided to give this venue a try. I'm usually with a group. This time I dined out with a friend who isn't into spicy food. It may have been the day? Or time? But when entering it wasn't all that busy. We were greeted by a friendly host who brought us directly to a nice table. The venue is pleasingly tasteful. Lots of bright splashes of color... Cheery. The music was so loud it was off- putting. We were thinking that it was such an issue that would cause us to leave.. but I'm glad that we didn't! We should have tried something interesting from the wonderful drink menu. But instead kept it simple with glasses of wine. Let me note ( if correct) most wine by the glass was very reasonably priced. We decided on our food. I chose a black bean burrito. My dining companion chose steak tacos. Pretty simple we thought. Our server took the orders and it wasn't long before she returned with our meals. By it's description my burrito sounded like it would be average - nothing special. What I received was absolutely delicious.. sometimes simple is a good thing. My friend said the tacos were awesome. She hadn't realized that they would be small. She felt she could have ordered another dish to try. My burrito was quite large and I ended up taking half of it home. It came with a few tortilla chips and salsa... Ok, but unnecessary. All in all everything was excellent. Our server was also excellent. My rating of '4' starts vs '5' is due to the overly loud music. $16 for 2 fish tacos? My friend ate one in 3 bit's. They were done with dinner in 5 minutes. and they weren't that good. it came with a side a uneccessary salsa. My other friend got nachos. only the top had melted cheese and the rest were all plain. i had a rice bowl. You might as well call it a bowl of leftovers. We just had hands down the best Mexican meal since my honeymoon in Mexico over a decade ago. Sin-A-Loa is an absolute must-do if you appreciate the authentic flavors of Mexican street food. Starting with the delicious cocktails-- we had a Margarita and a Loco del Coutzé (coconut, amaretto, rum, chocolate bitters and pineapple)-- with salsa as starters we had high hopes for the rest. The guacamole was smooth and many dimensional with all the flavor and more. The chips were also full of corn flavor with just the right taste of saltiness to bring out the best in the salsa and guacamole (a place restaurants will often skimp but Sin-a-Loa did not!). But let me get to the tacos. We ordered shrimp, Barbacoa pork and Al pastor. Because it wasn't too busy a time, the kitchen was able to give us a mix of flour and corn tacos (with the shrimp) because my husband and I have different taco preferences. Just one of the ways that service was friendly and accommodating. I can't say enough about the shrimp tacos. The toppings and flavor were incredible, mouthwatering, perfectly complementary and I couldn't get enough. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, meaty and not chewy and marinated to perfection. The Al pastor and barbacoa pork were both excellent, each with their own hearty marinade but completely different from each other in the best of ways. The taco toppings were made for each dish and complemented all of them with pineapple and cohita, most notably the avocado crema on the pork tacos. Not to be sidelined, the rice and bean sides (where many otherwise decent Mexican restaurants also let slip) were just as authentically flavored and long grain rice was perfectly cooked, the beans fragrant and flavorful! The service was super quick and very attentive without rushing us at all. The decor was 10/10, great homey vibe with beautiful plates with a modern flair in the wall art. Food here is amazing! We've tried many menu items so far and haven't met one we aren't impressed by. Taste and portions are A+. I'd recommend the burritos and the short rib quesadillas. So excited to have a place like this located at the Center. We rent a little cottage every July and love coming to the beach. We heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. What a lovely, family-friendly place with friendly, attentive staff, adorable ambience, good drinks, and excellent food. Husband is a chef and he was impressed. He especially loved the taco shells - both the flour and corn. He also raved about the steak. (He notices the little things that tend to get overlooked.) We will definitely be back. This place blows my mind how things are run. If you want hot sauce, it's $1 extra. If you want a flavor in your lemonade it's $1 extra. The salsa and chips are bland. The food is made for gringos that can't handle flavor. We tried the tacos, they were very flavorful but the 3 tacos were EXTREMELY SMALL for the high price we paid. We spoke to other friends and they say similar things. If you're a gringo that likes bland food you pay a lot of money for then go here. Nice atmosphere, friendly place. Needs a real chef. $8 for half a corn cobb slathered in mayo - no seasoning. $9 chips and salsa with like the smallest salsa you can imagine. For $9 the chips and salsa better be impressive. The shrimp tacos come with half a can of tomato paste on them which is odd. Corn tortillas are not even hit on a griddle to toast them up, just lazy, raw dog corn torts that fall apart. They have a great bar, good margs. Roll a dice to see if you can get anything good to eat. Get a real chef. You will not impress anyone with that food. read more

We've been to Sin-A-Loa 3 times so far and had a great meal and experience each time. The ambience is nice. Upscale beachy Mexican with a choice of a few outdoor deck tables, indoor tables and bar seats. We started with the nachos which were very good. The nachos are served in a skillet and have the right amount of cheese and toppings without being heavy or greasy!! We also had the street corn which was delicious. Then we tried the quesadilla and tacos. Again very flavorful. The next times we also had the street corn, the quesadilla and also tried one of the bowls. The drinks are inventive and tasty. Sin-A-Loa is a great stop when you're going to a show at Blue Ocean Music Hall or if you just feel like taking a drive down to the beach to try a new place. This is a really nice addition to the Salisbury Beach area where the food alternatives especially in the Tex mex taco area has been rather scarce. read more
