WARNING: DO NOT GO TO SINCITY SKYDIVING unless - you want to be RIPPED OFF and have a RUINED marriage proposal video! In our video, there were several key parts wrong/missing! There was a lot of anticipation, planning, money, and trust that was put into this company (SIN CITY SKYDIVING) for our skydiving marriage proposal and this was what we got!
First off, I advised them in advance that I would like for this jump to be dedicated to my marriage proposal to my fiancée. When we first were in the airplane, we discussed how we met each other. This would have been a perfect beginning to our video - which was NOT INCLUDED! Then, as with any typical skydiving video - you would expect to see her expression/face during the ENTIRE skydive. This did not happen as the camera was facing the instructor's back for the majority of the landing! I then also had a huge banner made which read "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" which would have been clearly seen as they descended onto the landing pad - also, NOT INCLUDED! Best yet, the footage was cut soon after my fiancée landed and her instructor asked me, "Sir, do you have a question for this young lady?" This was right before I managed to approach my fiancée and the whole marriage proposal was cut out!!
I paid an extra $79 for an unedited (RAW video as the manager/instructor put it) and all he could tell me was that the editor did not know that I was about to propose. The manager even told me that he remembered pulling the instructor aside to catch the footage of my proposal. So where did that footage go?? He also said that we probably did not pay for the edited version?? (Edited meaning credits, music, and FULL FOOTAGE of the skydive.) Yes on top of everything, they didn't even bother to edit the video! That is clearly false advertisement! The website says $79 for a "Professionally Edited DVD". I've done a sky dive with this company before, and was not charged extra for an edited version. Sure, yeah so I may be getting a refund for the video in the mail. But, what about sharing my proposal with the rest of our families and friends as I had intended to do? There's no redo for the sky dive unless I want to pay another $440 to this company and especially no redo for my fiancée's reaction.
We anticipated this video for two whole weeks after the jump and were devastated to see our whole entire marriage proposal cut out. It was in fact, embarrassing. Had I known, I would have paid extra to add in the proposal. But, who has ever heard of paying $79 for an unedited video? It almost seems like they purposefully cut out the entire proposal and hints leading to the proposal simply because they wanted to make that extra buck. Due to this, I will never return to this company and I advised for you to BEWARE. read more
