Awfull customer service acted like a sale wasn't going on when it was right in front of my face posted by one get 50% off said that the sail was not tru. Then to he called the owner of the shop two different times. First to ask if the sale is true then when I picked out my items to make sure that those two items were on his list for the sale. Even though they were already marked. Then when I purchased, my item asked for my ID and put it next to my credit card. Making sure the credit card was mine. So apparently Florida has this law where you're not supposed to say and names of drugs like weed or marijuana. Me being from philly, I didn't know that. We don't have this law. My partner asked the guy at the counter for a weed pen or something of that nature. The guy tells us about the law and we say ok thinking that he's just letting us know about it but when can continue shopping. Wrong...the guy didn't want to help or serve us at all. He was extremely rude and he made it his duty to let us know that he's not helping us or letting us shop not because my partner used the wrong word but because we are African American. I don't know what these other people are doing whenever they enter this store but I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here. That "girl with the blue hair" has always been friendly with me and my husband. Any questions we had were answered with knowledge and courtesy, always. Purchased several different items from them, anywhere from hookah supplies & tobacco, cigars, and tobacco pipes. I love living within walking distance of them as well. Their prices seem very fair for the given market, of course you can always find it cheaper online but it's cool to support local businesses as well. The shop is clean and organized, they have a varied selection of products and I am hoping soon they pick up the Social Smoke brand, that would be a deal sealer for me to shop only there. Of course when entering an establishment like this a certain etiquette is required and expected. If you can't put a cork in your attitude long enough to function in society, I'd stick to online shopping. Overall I think they are a great smoke shop, check them out! Happy smoking. read more

I discovered this place about 5+ years ago thanks to a delicious sushi restaurant nearby. This review is based on my last recent visit and will probably be my last review since I will never visit this smoke shop again. I wanted a particular hookah flavor and this was the place I have purchased it from in the past. How long ago? I can't remember but it's definitely out of the way since I didn't need anything else in the area and no one in town apparently carried what I wanted. My first sign of just leaving was when I arrived on a week day during lunch hours... Holy moly... Parking was nonexistent and after driving around the block a few times someone was backing out a little ways away, so heck with it I pulled in and walked to the smoke shop. Upon entering I asked the girl at the counter if they still carried Social Smoke and she said "no", okay cool no big deal I'll just see what else you have here. I asked her what she thought was good and she didn't acknowledge me... Maybe she didn't hear me... I have a nose so I'll use it to smell the different flavors they have. From behind me was the counter and behind the counter was the girl, just standing there and staring at me it felt like.... Like seriously lady? Do you think I'm trying to steal or do you not know what customer service is? There was another guy just walking around and I assumed he was another customer wandering around lost also because he couldn't get help. I said screw it and picked out two hookah flavors and a pack of coal which I needed anyways since I have already drove all this way and proceeded to the counter. After the transaction was completed the guy walks back to the back room. Oh man... You work here dude and you didn't bother to ask a customer for help but rather just wander around? Wish I had checked Yelp before stopping in this place. The prices are ridiculous on some items, and the clerk had a bad attitude. If you act shocked about the pricing, the girl behind the counter will be outright rude to you. And when I say "ridiculous" I mean "more than twice what you pay in other states and even major cities." From the reviews it sounds like customer service hasn't been high on their list of important things for several years. If you enjoy people being rude to you, the Weiner Circle in Chicago does it better and at least it's entertaining there. read more

I've stopped here twice now, both times the same guy has been there, and both times I've walked out within one minute. Based on other reviews, it looks like he provides everyone with the same experience - which is limited to him angrily sitting on a stool behind the counter. This guy is the worst. Incredibly rude, doesn't offer help on anything and honestly looks put out at the fact that you even walk in there. We physically showed him what we were looking for, and his response was "we have like 50 things of that brand, so....". Didn't point us in the direction of where to look, just sat behind that counter looking pissed off that he had to interact with someone. I'm a riverside local, and have been my entire life. I smoke hookah on the regular, and I can honestly say that compared the the other shisha shops in Jacksonville, this one is superb. Their prices (at least coal and shisha wise) are immensely better than places like Smoke City on Beach, or at any hookah lounge. I easily pay 10$ less per 250mg Al'Fakhar shisha purchase, and 7$-10$ less on my 108ct coals. Speaking on coals, they also started carrying CocoNara coconut coals, at my request. Though the person Steph cited as having weak customer service skills may in fact have weak customer service skills, the rest of the staff is fantastic, friendly, and willing to help with any questions you might have about a particular hookah, pipe, etc. If you are looking for a place to buy your tobacco and coals, look no further. You can't beat the prices anywhere else in Jacksonville, and their hours are pretty decent too. read more

I went to Sin City on Friday and purchased two pipes under the by one get one half off deal. I later noticed that one of the pipes was completely sealed, meaning it's worthless/ not usable. I have been going to this store for years. Its a cool place with great deals. Although i like this place, it seems they have recently hired someone that has horrible customer service skills. To be honest she seems out right rude to me and the other customers. She rolled her eyes at an old lady once when i was there and very smart assish to everyone. And she is rude and impatient. My friend wasted $18 on tobacco that was expired, when she tried to get a refund or exchange the lady was rude and claimed there was nothing wrong with the tobacco, even know it was EXPIRED. She cocked an attitude the whole time and said 'maybe you shouldn't buy clearance tobacco" clearly the tobacco was on clearance for a reason. They have a big selection on just about anything you can think of and you cant beat the prices. Including the cheapest ciggarettes ive seen in a while. The place is very organized which makes it easy to find things and also the cleanest shop yet. The employees were friendly and willing to help me with whatever i needed. One of the few places I've actually been able to find e-generation liquid. And out of those few place, by far the cheapest (this is some pretty good juice I'd have to suggest to anyone with an e-cigarette out there). usually it's $13 per 15ml bottle everywhere else. they have them for $9 ($8 each if you buy 3 or more). Anyway there are 2 girls that work there (that I've seen), the blue-haired Mohawk girl (can't remember her name) seems to be the more knowledgeable one on the e-cigs. I've run into her at Blackhat and Newleaf talking to the people there about how they work. I couldn't tell you about the rest of the stuff, I mainly go there for the e-cig and hookah stuff. But definitely recommend for those. $25 for a starter e-cig set. cheaper than anywhere else I've ever gone. 4 thumbs up. read more

My brother is crippled and wheel-chair bound due to MS. We purchased a vap cigarette system and liquid refill. The gentleman behind the counter took the vap cig apart to demonstrate how to refill and re-charge it. He tightly re-attached both ends of the vap cig back together. After we got home, my brother opened to the box and removed the vap cig. It broke in half. I know the store posts say no returns or exchanges, but in this case, my brother does not have to power or strength in his hands to break anything in two. We returned the next day, but there was a girl there. She called the manager and they would not exchange it. Even for someone who obviously is severely disabled. As my brother turned and started to wheel himself toward the door, I begged her to do the right thing for him. She said she can't exchange it because we can't prove that the other store clerk broke it. I held open the door so my brother could exit. I turned around and said "I am giving you one last opportunity to do the right thing in this case and exchange the vap cig. If you choose not to, I am going to write a negative review for this business and make a formal complain to the BBB. I sincerely hope your manager/owner finds the $30.00 cost of the vap cig worth it." So here it is. read more
