If I could give sinbads 10 stars instead of 5 ,I would..5 for the food and 5 for the service..Ive been going to them for about 18+ yrs and always leave happy. The hotdogs have that snap and the buns are steamed just right. All the ingredients are fresh and you're given plenty of them on each hotdog.. Im really picky about chili.but their chili cheese dog has always been my favorite chili dogs from anywhere..I get mustard and onions on it as well. But my all time favorite from there is their special they have once or twice a year for a couple weeks to a month. Its the coleslaw dog... they slaw is perfect. Not too much mayo or huge chunks of cabbage. And there are 2 other hotdogs I like from there. The cheese dog (LOADED with freshly grated cheddar) and the Chicago dog . They also have a good fritos chili bowl and chopped up hotdogs. But its not just about the food there. Yes thats amazing but the vibe and atmosphere, the staff and the decor.. the decor is great. I got to try out Sinbad's for the first time. My grandsons baseball team was sponsored by Sinbad's and as an appreciation, the Team came to say thank you. I had the chili Frito (Frito pie). It did not disappoint. I got each grandkid a hotdog. They're HUGE so I ended up with 1 leftover. My husband had the slaw dog and said it was good. I didn't get pictures of the food. Each person working was very kind and had patience for the crowd of us. My 2 youngest had to use the restroom and they were so kind to let them. We will for sure be back! read more

We love Sinbad's Hot Dogs soooo much!!!! 10/10 phenomenal every single time. I haven't had one single bad item from the menu at all. One of my favorite things to get other than a cheese dog is a bowl of chili with extra cheese and light onion and one chopped up hot dog with fritos, and mustard. It is so comforting, cozy, and easily in my top three for favorite places with great chili and hot dogs. Each one has the perfect snap when you bite into it. They will forever be in my top five places to go for lunch. Kristine is so wonderful, incredibly kind, beyond hard-working and great to talk to. We always look forward to our visits and any new hot dog creations like the one that has pastrami. We love her staff as well, they're always so nice to talk to and they care about Sinbad's just as much as Kristine does. It is always so clean and organized even when it is super busy. A real gem of Reno. In business for over 40 years, Sinbad's started out as "Casper's" in San Leandro before parting ways and starting a new as Sinbad's. Kristine, the current owner has been the steward of Sinbad's for the last 17 years. My wife had the classic "Chicago Dog", with all the trimmings. What makes the hot dogs special is the all-beef dog. No pork, chicken or fillers. Just a great beef hot dog. The Hot Dog was warm and moist and had that proper "snap" a hallmark of a good Hot Dog. I went for the Chili Cheese Dog, another perennial favorite. All "dogs" start with the same Hot Dog and just vary the toppings. In my case, the Hot Dog was served open face, covered with delicious, meaty chili (with beans), a healthy serving of beans and onions. Situated in a small shop in a strip mall off Mc Carran, Sinbad's would be easy to miss. The restaurant is colorful, vibrant and welcoming. There is a "hall of fame" wall, hosting all the regulars. I've been eating these hot dogs for 40 years! Seriously, when they opened 40 years ago, my mom couldn't wait to take me here because she used to eat Caspers and Kaspers in the bay area (two brothers, big fight over the name etc) and the marketing was that they were going to be like Caspers. The decor has changed a lot over the years from pirate ships to bright colors but the food has always remained consistent. I actually got hot dogs for myself and my mom yesterday but we ate them so fast that I didn't even think about taking pictures. I was having a good "gut day" and I hadn't had a Sinbad's hot dog in over a year. The only thing better than a Sinbads cheese dog is one you haven't had in a long time. They call themselves "The Home of the Steaming Wienie" and if you don't know what the difference is between a hot dog cooked the regular way and steamed hot dogs and buns, this will probably ruin other hot dogs for you when you find out. I have an affinity for the cheese dog, lots of mayo and onions only but my mom has always been about her toppings - tomatoes, relish, onions, mayonnaise and ketchup - no mustard. My mom has actually had dementia for over 10 years now and doesn't really talk much the last couple years, but she was obviously very happy and smiling while eating her hot dogs. Taste is a memory sense and I'm sure she remembers they were important if not, why. Make sure you check the hours before you stop in as they're not open the same hours as most places. The owner is always kind friendly and generous. She isn't always open but if you sign up for her text she will let you know when they are. I know this may be odd but I think she has to take care of her sick mother so she can't always open and so can only work when she can work so it's not always open. But just a long regular chili and cheese hotdog taste soooo good! Me and my partner found this place driving by when we moved to the neighborhood and it's a little hole in the wall you could miss if you didn't know about it. But we like to try new things and new places from time to time so we went in and it was worth it. She also gave us free ice cream sandwiches one time which we really appreciate as she didn't have to do that. But I definitely recommend if you are looking for a one stop shop for different style hotdogs this is your place. The place is a little small but that's OK. I haven't been to this place since 2020 and I was curious to see what it was like after all these years. I went inside to the strong aroma of cooking hot dogs mixed with the nice and cool air conditioning inside! The inside was very small, but they offer take out as well so that's hardly an issue. Plus, the inside was cozy as well and mostly clean, notably the tables and chairs were all clean and well kept, though the floor tiling could definitely use a deep clean or replacement. I was a little disappointed in the rather limited variety of chips as they were all the store bagged variety, and I was also disappointed that most of their sides were also packaged store type items, but it's not a complete deal breaker. The cashiers were both very friendly and very good at their work! I ordered some standard cheese dogs and a Vanilla shake and they were both very pleasant! The hot dogs were nice and tasty. They were very big too, which made them all the more filling! The shake was absolutely delicious and a decent size as well, though not as impressive as the hot dogs. Overall, I was very pleased to see that this place was just as good as I remembered it! A bit pricy, but the taste and portions definitely make it worth while! My husband loves the hot links with everything. I'm slowly making my way down the menu to try different things every time I come. In celebration of the 4th of July I feel like I need to get my Hot Dog reviews up! The snappiest hot dogs in the city! Sinbads is a long time institution and for some reason I haven't been for a number of years. But the "Sparks Food and Drink Week" brought me back. I went in after a work day to get the event dog with pastrami and swiss. The dog itself is perfection. Just enough bite and crunch and meaty goodness to hold up and not disappear into a pile of condiments and also flavorful enough to just be eaten on it's own. The bun is good and soft. The space is pretty small. But dogs really don't take long to eat and you can just take them all to go. I can't wait to take my wife back for one of my favorite dogs in town I just wish my diet would allow me to have one of these every week! read more

As someone who's lived in Chicago, I love a good hotdog. Sinbad has got that down pretty well, with a local vibe that you want to support. I recently went during lunch with my coworkers, it's going to be busy but the line moves. The chili cheese dog, will not disappoint. If I have anything to gripe it would be price, they aren't exactly a budget place especially if you're a big eater, but that's everywhere nowadays. For the past 3 years, we've been driving by Sinbad's as we go up McCarran. We've tried to stop before but it was closed when we tried. Now today, I had a craving for an all beef hot dog and my husband reminded me about Sinbad's ("the place we've been wanting to try") so my husband calls to see if they're open and the next thing you know, he's placing an order for pick up. The staff was friendly and quick. We got to Sinbad's to pick up our order in 5 minutes and we were on our way. We just got the 2 hot dogs, one with everything and the other with just mustard.
