Gold star of my foodie checklist. Irish egg rolls wow what creative twist with tradition. I had bangers and mash and felt like I was at family table. Loved the decor of the restaurant and the case with traditional items downstairs. I love the cultural experience that this restaurant brings to RVA.

The food was ok.. We tried something new each day we came back. The Blackened shrimp taco was probably the most memorable thing I tried. We kept coming back for the bartenders though. Drew is awesome! We had Jordan Sunday afternoon and she was great as well :) We also went Saturday night for some dancing, but the DJ had no taste for music so we left and went somewhere else.

1/2 off apps, $5 Irish nachos, and cheap beer? Mondays are OUTSTANDING here. Now granted - the food isn't anything too special - just some standard bar eats with a bit of an Irish spin - but as a broke new professional school graduate... I was willing to look past that. An approachable spot with TONS of indoor seating and a cool divey vibe that I'm sure is quite different during the school year when it becomes a VCU bar, but to be honest, during normal business hours it fit the bill of exactly what I wanted and was looking for.

This was my go to spot while in Richmond. After a long day of site seeing..it was a good reprieve to get a drink and a hot cup of soup. I hear it gets crazy on the weekends..I don't do crazy but during g the week it was quite fun. Super friendly staff! Nice wines on tap too

Checked this out at lunch on a Saturday. Got seated quickly. Mimosas were $1! Classic breakfast was fine. It was two eggs cooked to one's liking plus bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast. Sausage chicken pasta tasted a little off. It had a taste of old oil that had been reused multiple times. Atmosphere was very casual. Service was not bad.

As a frequent visitor to this area this was my first time in Sine. Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Came for lunch on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Sat at the bar and the bartender was nice. Nice menu selection and beer options, including local. I wish I picked something other than the burger and fries because there are many options that fit the ovation better. The fries had great flavor and the burger was just ok. More bun than meat in most bites. I will return and try their more traditional dishes.

Wow, what a beautiful bar!!! My family and I sat at the bar and had a few beers and delicious appetizers of fried pickle spears (huge) and Irish inspired egg rolls (pastrami/potatoes). Great prices especially during Happy Hour. Will come again!

Grilled Vegetable Salad

I really enjoyed visiting Sine's Irish Pub. They have a large dinner/lunch menu as well as a brunch menu available for Saturday & Sunday mornings. All of the food ordered looked delicious. I opted for the Roasted Vegetable Salad and throughly enjoyed it. My friends order the crab cake sandwich, Reuben, chicken tenders, and nacho's appetizer. All of which tasted great! Additionally, the waitresses are very attentive and helpful. There is so many spots inside to sit and there's even a downstairs. If the weather is nice, there is a beautiful outdoor patio on the cobblestone. Some is also a bar that is very popular on weekend evenings. There are other bars nearby so it's easy to spend a night going from one to the other. The restaurant is located in the heart of Shockoe, very close to downtown. This makes parking a like more difficult but there are street parking and a public pay-to-park spot nearby.

I was impressed with the atmosphere here. The restaurants has lots of character. Menu has some great choices that should please everyone. Staff was helpful and friendly. This is a really nice place in the Slip to grab a drink or a bite. I've been here several times and was never disappointed.

Went here for happy hour on a Wednesday, wasn't too busy and service was pretty fast. It's a good volume inside and the seating is pretty spacious. We got crab and shrimp dip which was really creamy and irish nachos which were pretty good too. It's just similar to a loaded potato! We got Lemon drops and vodka cran as well as our bill was just shy of 30 so great value. (during happy hour!)

Shepherds Pie

Can never go wrong with ordering the Shepherds pie. It's definitely my fave to order during the winter months if I want something warm and filling, but I'm not quite in the mood for soup. Service was great as always. Aiden was very nice. A good time to come for a nice quiet lunch is on weekdays after 1:30pm after the lunch rush.

Everything on the menu was a 5, okay I make my own gravy and it wasn't that (but it was good, and a little salty but very good with the bangers and mash. ) Bangers & mash very good! Burger very good! Jalapeño poppers awesome. The curry fries with chicken tenders and onions will blow your mind with flavor. Wow on the reubin and the turkey avocado sandwiches. Had a waitress that laughed. Liverpool was playing and I imagine it's a great space to watch this if that's your speed. Sunday lunch menu had a good mixture of things. I was drawn into the special, which was a pork belly quiche with Irish cheese and green onions. This was ultimately quite fine. Big quiche fan but this wasn't my favorite crust nor my favorite cheese. And if I hadn't been told there was meat in it I'm not sure I would have noticed. The side salad had a nice balsamic dressing. What was most bothersome, though, was the size of the quiche. It was cheap enough but not really a lunch potion. Wish I had gone with a sanwich. Drinks were good-pretty standard. The service was astounding and everyone was so nice. Probably wouldn't come back for the food but if you want to watch some football (soccer) it's a nice option.

Kids chicken strips were a chicken patty that was overcooked and cut up. Also came out lukewarm at best. The Rueben was soggy and had about three slices of meat on it. Very little sauce on the sandwich no and was charged for extra when I asked for more. Added the Parmesan truffle fries which were powered Parmesan with some truffle oil sprinkled on top. Again all lukewarm. The Timberwolf burger had maybe two jalapeño's on it and the onions were burnt. The regular burgers and kids are the same size. Housemade pickles were soggy and the cucumber skins were tough. The quality of food from when we had eaten here a couple years ago was subpar in comparison. If you are going to charge for upscale items then they need to be upscale in the quality of what you are serving. Will not be back.

$178 for 6 fish & chips no drinks - 1 hour wait time for food and still charged .50 for extra…read moretartar. My boss was in town so 6 of us went there for lunch and the place was half full with most people already eating. No lie, 50 minutes later the place had cleared out and we still had not gotten our food. We all ordered the only thing on the menu - fish and chips. We were having a good time talking so the time flew but when we asked the server how much longer she got snarky and said it was a full restaurant when you came in and there is only one cook and she goes in order and she will check. We only kindly asked how long lady, no need to get defensive and chide us for asking after 50 minutes. The server had mobility issues so it took another 10 minutes to be told that it was coming in 5. I saw then in the open kitchen the cook pick up a piece of fish and put it in the fryer - so only just starting the orders. Wow. 20 minutes later we ate. The food was meh, not bad, not great. The paper they put it on is plastic coated and tears with the fork and you end up eating it. I asked for another TINY plastic ramekin of tartar. THE BILL FOR 6 FISH AND CHIPS NO DRINKS - $178. 20% AUTOMATIC TIP for AWFUL service. The owner came over prior to apologize for the wait and walked away. But, they still charged $.50 for the extra tartar hahhha. Couldn't have thrown that in for our troubles? The door to the bathroom outside and in was FILTHY so I can only imagine the kitchen. All it takes is a sponge and some soap to clean that, don't they see it!? One and done.

Still a convenient place to stop in for a downtown lunch but it has gotten quite expensive. The…read morefish and chips contained one medium (at best) piece of cod and a handful of chips for $21.99. (Haddock was the same price.) Service remains very good although the kitchen was slow for an empty dining room. Oldies music was good until it was shut off in favor of classical (about 1:15 pm.) Total bill for two including one soft drink and a scotch egg and two cod and chips: just over $61. Not a bad price for an extraordinary lunch but far too much for a casual affair for working stiffs.
