We tried Piggy's on a Sunday afternoon. There were multiple TVs carrying sports. The interior is bright and open which works well as a deli but loses some ambiance for a pub. Business was steady but not busy. My Cuban was very good and my side salad had lots of tomato, cucumber, and cheese. I was happy that the salad was a leafy green lettuce not iceberg. My companion enjoyed his Italian. Sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle spear. The sandwiches are good and deserve an upgraded chip. The service we had was fantastic. Extremely friendly, attentive, and what I appreciated most was the lack of urgency to bring my check once we finished our food (but had half of our drinks left). They made sure we took our time and enjoyed ourselves. Service: 5/5 Food was pretty good. Nothing out of this world, but great for the price and filled me up! Food 3.5/5 Ambiance was good, too. There were definitely more older men than anything else and the music matched their vibe (all classic rock), but I still really enjoyed that. Felt sort of like a mix of a dive bar and sports bar. That's very much my style! Ambiance: 3.5/5 Only downside was a table that popped up next to us that kept moving their chairs around and totally flipped the entire layout of their table to basically be directly next to my mom and I. The tables are fairly spaced out to avoid this, but that table either didn't care or didn't notice how close they got to us/how loud they were. We hit Piggy's for brunch this morning and were very pleased with everything. We were greeted warmly when we walked in and told to sit anywhere we would like; We chose a high top table in the bar area. Hubby ordered the half order of sausage gravy with 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, and I had the sausage Benedict which comes on a grilled biscuit and is topped with sausage patties, poached eggs and sausage gravy. I ordered the Gouda grits as my side. The sausage gravy is pretty good, much better than most in the area. It tastes very close to homemade (not sure if it is). Our server had the BEST personality. So helpful with recommendations, and did a great job staying on top of our drinks. She was the only one there, besides the bartender, on this busy Sunday morning but never had a problem with keeping up with all the tables. They keep it clean in there too. Although there were multiple tables filled in the bar area and dining area, they were quickly cleaned and the floor swept under them too. They offer a variety of specials throughout the week. Happy hour 3-7pm daily Monday-Friday, Monday is a bingo type game, Tuesday is trivia, and Wednesday is $1 wing (their wings are phenomenal!). Arrival 11:22 After never having food delivered and the worst costumer service I have experienced in years, we left the restaurant after 105 minutes. Customer service was non-existent and our questions regarding waiting for food were never met with a valid response. Waitstaff, including managers, ignored our table of 10 for over an hour. My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday around 8 pm for dinner. It is close to us and we have been wanting to try it. The food was pretty good but a little slow coming out considering we were almost the only people in the place. The poor rating is strictly based on lack of control in the restaurant. Obviously a regular(the bartender knew his name when he walked in), came in about 5 minutes after we did. He spent the entire time their yelling and clucking(yes i mean clucking). This is not a small place so you can imagine how it was. The bartender or whoever that was supposed to be charge just let it go on indefinitely. He was yelling about the lakers game, screaming the bartenders name out, trying to take selfies with the other people at the bar. It was ridiculous. We could not leave fast enough. When we did leave, there were two guys that were eating when we got there- they were still outside talking. They said that they paid and went outside to finish their conversation just to get away from the guy. What a shame that one person is allowed to impact so many other peoples time out that they are paying for. Lesson learned on this one. read more

Me and my daughter stopped in for lunch after leaving Bass Pro shop one day. I keep hearing that Richmond is one of the best places for a burger in America. So I've been trying to find one that is better than what I cook at home. Lol. And I think I may have finally done that. The black and blue burger was absolutely amazing. Most places put way too much. Blue cheese or not enough on it. It was absolutely perfect. I was unable to finish all of it, because it was huge so I took the rest home and had that later and it was still good. Inside was very clean. The bathrooms were clean. Wait staff was nice. It was not to busy. So hopefully the service is the same when there's a crowd. But I would definitely recommend this place. Well let me start by saying I am parked in what appears to be a drive through for pick up and supposed owner pulls in front of me and parks leaving me no exit out. They argue with me that they opened the place and after some lengthy conversation the wife backs out the F150 and parks in a regular spot. Usually our experience here is top notch, good food, great service, etc. Can no longer say the same after walking in at 11:20 and leaving without any food at 1:00. There was an extreme lack in communication between the kitchen staff to waiters and then to the customer. Customers were having to get up and serve themselves beverages after waiters failed to return to check on their tables for an hour. When a manager was called for we were told that our food order was next, after waiting an hour and 20 minutes after we had placed our order. The overall experience was unprofessional and unacceptable even if the kitchen is backed up or the restaurant is crowded. Not a fan of this place at all. Overpriced food and subpar quality. Especially the greasy burgers. Not sure what this place is trying to be with the strange ambiance. Sports bar? Deli? Some strange hybrid? Seems like a stretch for this place to actually be considered any of those. Located in a suburban strip mall. I have been here a few times and did not like the food or the atmosphere and definitely felt ripped off given what they charge and the low quality of food they serve. I will not return. Great neighborhood joint! They specialize is what I call southern bar food. I'm a fan of the bologna burger, for example. Reminds me of a place we used to stop at in Burkville back in the 70's. Beer list is solid too. You have to have Legend Brown for me to be happy. I'll stop in from time to time and sit it the bar for dinner when the family away. My friends and I decided to stop by Piggy's on a slow Friday afternoon, around 12. This was our first time at piggy's and we were met with fantastic customer service. The inside of the store was very clean and neat. There was a sports bar/ casual dining area. After ordering our food, it took 16 and a half minutes to get our food which is slightly alarming considering there wasn't many people. Food was pretty good, amount was also pretty good. For a deli, i would have definitely liked more meat and a better meat to veggie ratio on my sub. Chips were straight out of a Lays bag, sorta disappointing considering everything else on the menu is homemade or has a special "piggy's" twist to it. The potato salad had a unique cheese/mayo/onion combo that was something i've never had before. Pricing is very fair and reasonable for what you get.There was nothing super special about piggys but it hit the spot for a mid day lunch. Id recommend this spot to anyone that lives in the area and wants to try something new. I don't know if i'd consistently pick it over other options though. Trying the rest of the menu will help with that. If i could do partial stars, i'd give it a 3.5/5. read more

The food was very good and brought out in a timely manner. And the happy hour prices are great. They also do a very nice wine pour. Also the restaurant looked very clean and well kept. We stopped by here to try it out as there always seems to be a good crowd and the business is fairly new. I was a bit disappointed that no one met us coming in the restaurant and we just sat ourselves at an empty table. The waitress promptly came over with menus and took our drink orders and was attentive to our needs. The loaded fries as an appetizer were good. Both my wife and granddaughter ordered burgers, they were inedible due to overseasoning with pepper. The cook in the kitchen needs to understand that a customer has the ability to add pepper at the table. The service was good, food could have been better.
