We had a number of pints. All amazing. Love the "Killer Cream Ale" and the "Old Crawbuckie Old Ale". If you want an authentic, expertly crafted, handmade beer, then this is your place! Had the soy dog w small batch sauerkraut made locally on a Pretzilla bun and flavored pistachios by another local place. Both tasty. Not sure why the reviews are so good here. There was something really off with the Kolsch. It was undrinkable. The sour beer wasn't bad, but everything else was so-so at best. The food service/quality is not good. It took 30 min to get a hot dog, and the soft pretzel was way overdone. I will say the building was pretty nice. Unfortunately won't be going back. read more

Great brewery my buddy and I came here last thursday night to see our friends gig the place is very small and the acoustics and sound of the place is tight but overall the service and atmosphere is wonderful friendly staff and great choices of craft beers I had the harvest ale and it was delicious. Visited this brewery a Friday night around 10pm. It was empty ish which was great. It has a cool vibe, very clean, and good friendly staff. We got a flight to sample a few different beers to see what we liked, a lot of them were very hoppy and I dont particularly like hoppy beers, but they have other options. So ended up getting the rosé cider from Warwick. They had it on tap too! Which was incredibly good! I'd go here again. Oh and also, they don't have real food, so I would go to dinner before coming here :) read more

I used to live in the area and I come back often to visit family. I was so excited about having something like this to check out while in town. I got to visit over the summer and it did not disappoint! The beer list is an eclectic mix of styles and flavors. A beer lovers dream. The space is clean and open. A brilliant mix of NYC style with small town warmth. I loved talking with the staff. They are diligent about sourcing ingredients locally, are so proud of their operation, and seem so dedicated to helping to contribute to the spirit of community in Ossining. That was the cherry on top for me. I love patronizing businesses like that! I'll be back in town over the holidays and this will definitely be one of my stops. read more

I am very happy for my home town to finally have a good brewery. We visited the spot last week. As a Vet, I was happy to see they had a dedicated pale ale. Good things - Nice space, bright and wide opening seating, games to play, nicely laid out, cool local decorations on the walls. Bad things - Beer is a little too "hoppy," I would have preferred a few good pale ales on tap, needs wait staff, menu could use some variety if they wish to stay in business (too limited), keep some wine on hand for the wine drinkers that show up. Most breweries have some wine. Good luck to the business. We have tons of these in Virginia - they should take a road trip. read more

Great spot! If you find yourself in the river towns, stop in Ossining & have some tasty beers. They brew on premises & have a decent amount to choose from, covering different styles (IPAs of course, cream ale, rye, stout). They also have some guest taps as well as ciders & distilled spirits. The atmosphere is chill & everyone is really friendly. They aren't a restaurant, but have snacks & light bites, and amazingly they encourage people to order delivery or bring in food, which is pretty cool! I look forward to my next visit read more

Long review ahead, but I don't review places until I have gone at least five times. So. Here she goes: This place is a keeper for many reasons beyond their tasty assortment beers and NY liquors. My personal favorite is the variety of crowds and events that SSKB brings into what was once a dying downtown Ossining. The brewery showcases Ossining's diversity and its many musical artists. (Who knew Ossining had so many famous, talented musicians?) At last night's event, which was a trio of talented, girl hard rock/punk bands, the age range was from 21 to 90. There were young men sitting at the bar who looked like they had just gone duck hunting in Alabama watching a lesbian punk band, drinking beer, and having a blast. When my group needed food, the owner suggested a place called Karma Lounge, a Peruvian restaurant, a middle-eastern restaurant and another small local brewery down near the train station, which we ended up going to. We had some wings and fries, tried their beers, and walked back up the hill to watch a second set, hoping the crowd had thinned out. In fact, some of the crowd had spilled out into the street, and people were either looking for food or eating empanadas out in the cold. People were chatting and laughing and getting to know each other. Very fun. Also, Ossining downtown can sometimes have a sketchy vibe, but this place is located right across from the police station, so we (all women crew) felt safe even after midnight. The place is also super creative in its decor. Some of the beers are not my style, but I can always find one that's refreshing thanks to the helpful bartenders know who their beers. This place is clearly doing good things for Ossining and the struggling restaurants in downtown. I guess if I had to offer up something critical it would be that some of the seating isn't comfortable, and it's getting too popular, so if you want to enjoy a quiet beer, go on a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday or when they are not having an event. read more

I really want this place to succeed. The staff is great and location is perfect with easy parking and walk from downtown. The Brewery looks amazing and I love the feel of it. My only issue is ... I don't like the beer. I know the place caters to micro beer lovers. And that is awesome. But please stock one or two regular beers for other customers. I don't need pumpkin or high ABV or hoppy bitter beers. Keep them in stock for your patrons, but let me have one "Stella" or "Bud" like beer. I know that is heresy, but I would love to support the place. read more

Checked out this new spot and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. They brew on premises and also sell 16oz cans to go. The place also seems family friendly as there were many children there. They don't serve food at this time so make sure you eat before (few restaurants near by) or stop in for pre-lunch or dinner beer. Attentive staff who are ready to answer any beer related questions. I so want to love this place. I went when they first opened, loved the ambiance and industrial feel but the beer was young. Went back 6 months later and the beer is sadly unimpressive. Lacking depth and complexity. This place can be saved but they need 'The Chief' or 'Hutch' to pay a visit. If the brewer understands this get to work! Could be a goldmine!! read more

Fantastic beers on tap, and a fun atmosphere for all ages, we were there this past Saturday and enjoyed the IPA and Chocolate Stout. Also a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well. Highly recommend stopping in for a Pint. read more
