We came in on a snowy day. The restaurant is located inside Palisades Center on the top floor. Inside was large and rustic. They asked if we wanted a booth near the entrance and we said sure. The drink menu is huge. The food choices are more modest mostly sandwiches and burgers. I got the ahi tuna sandwich with sweet potato fries. The generous portion of tuna was lightly grilled and tasted fresh. The bun was ok but the mushrooms were dry and tough almost inedible. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and done well. They were better than the regular fries that my daughter had with her cheeseburger. Her cheeseburger had cheese hanging over the side of her burger. The fries were really delicious and cooked perfectly. I paired it with a prosecco which makes it the perfect meal. We also got an order of slides, which tasted pretty similar to the cheeseburger, had a lot of flavor and came with fries and a pickle! First of all I want to say that I love the Yardhouse as a franchise. It has one of the best happy hours around. However, I hate this specific Yardhouse. I'm not sure why I gave it another opportunity today. My first negative experience there was with a waitress that never came back after taking our initial order. I had to speak to two different managers about the waitress and when she returned she was argumentative. The second incident was when the calamari came out looking and tasting like rubber bands. The nachos had clumps of cheese. When I showed the manager she told me that's how it comes. Today, unfortunately I have then another chance. The hostess was missing for 5 minutes and when she came back she was counting cutlery and had us standing there without saying a word to us. I just had to walk away. Unfortunately, this place has fallen off greatly since they originally opened. I vote with my dollars and will never return to this location. read more

We came on a Sunday evening and sat at the bar. Service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. The food? It was so lackluster. I don't know if the kitchen was having an off day or what... We ordered: *Dragon Fruit Cosmo (~$12) - I wanted to try something different from my usual cocktail order, so I went with this one because I used to be obsessed with the Starbucks refresher. Not sweet or citrus-y at all. *10 Wings with whiskey black pepper sauce and lemon pepper dry rub (~$17) - We were in love with the wings last time, so we were excited to order them again. This time, they were much smaller and not as meaty. The lemon pepper dry rub was oily and soggy, causing the skin of the chicken to lose its crispiness and crunch. The whiskey black pepper sauce was off putting. The whiskey flavor overpowered everything and it was so sticky. I felt like I was eating wings drenched in honey... *Carne Asada Tacos (2 for ~$12) - The best part about these tacos was the generous portion of steak. Everything else fell short. Tacos were very bland and lacked authentic Mexican flavors. None of the ingredients (guac, cilantro, poblano, onions) went together. They basically just threw everything on a tortilla and called it a day. This is my favorite chain place to eat anywhere and I've worked in bar hospitality for 17 years. Their happy hour is the best in the business with both food and drinks, cocktails included. Their cocktails are unqiuely crafted for a franchise restaurant and I have to praise the Mocktail section they offer! I love to see that. Yard House has an amazing bar with an insane amount of draft beers. Their food hits and can't go wrong with regular-sized half price apps between 3-6p. From the first time I ever tried this place about 8 years ago, to now, I definitely see the difference. The menu may appear like it has a lot of items, but it's actually quite small. I feel like the quality of the food has also diminished. Over the last few years I've visited several times and I am always walking out of there unsatisfied. My most recent visit a few days ago, we ordered the boneless buffalo wings to start. This was definitely the highlight of the entire visit and the reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 2. They were really delicious and they were served in a small dish with sticks to easily eat with. I really enjoyed this appetizer. For main course, we got a bacon cheese burger with fries, and the chicken nachos (from the appetizer menu). The burger was basic. Nothing special. The nachos appear to be a really big serving, but it's actually served on a really big dish and it's only one layer of nachos, so it's actually not THAT big. But it's definitely good for 2-3 people to share for an appetizer. We skipped on dessert because we were not satisfied with the regular food. Our waitress Vanessa was nice and pretty attentive. She's also a reason for the 3 stars instead of 2. Ambiance is nice. It's a sports bar feel with more seating. I would definitely go here on the weekend to have a few drinks and watch some sports. We were able to walk right in & be seated, considering how packed the mall was due to spring break. The chicken tortilla soup was very grainy versus creamy as I'm use to this soup being & had avocados in it which it doesn't say that on the menu-me being a picky eater,I picked the avocados out. The pizza that all my sons friends bragged about from a previous location, had barely any sauce on it! The man who bought our food out was rude & slammed the plates down & didn't seem to want to be working that day. This looks like an amazing brewery however we had stopped on a road trip and were driving. The food... hit and miss. The chicken tortilla soup was like overly salty cream of chicken soup. The Pineapple chicken was tender, and the asparagus had some tender and some very hard pieces. The rice was crusty hard on the outside of the ball they scooped onto the plate. The salad was fresh but we got two halves of a brussel sprout and 10 raisins. The club was cut into quarters so no way to pick it up- it was piled high held together with skewer sticks. The music was just loud enough to fill the massive space and was a collection of rock n roll. The bathroom was in need of attention. Our appetizer plates weren't bussed when our mains arrived. Yard House has such a wide and varied menu. Always enjoy it when we travel, especially since we don't have them on Long Island. The burgers are top notch, portions are generous and the drink menu, including on tap beers, is extensive. This visit I had the carne asada tacos on lettuce wraps and subbed the rice and beans for a side salad. I love how easy it is to make keto friendly substitutions. My husband had a bacon burger - delicious! And my son had the spicy chicken sandwich ... haven't tasted a better chicken sandwich anywhere! The service was okay; our server was sort of slow considering it was in between lunch and dinner time and the place wasn't crowded. But she was very nice and friendly, so I was okay with that! At our requesr for time to look over the menu she went to get us glasses of water. The place is classic American decorated with wooden booths & tables and chairs. Upon first bite I was surprised how tasty everything is. My siblings and I were very happy with the delivery. For me the steak bowl was tasty, healthy and with steaks cooked to perfection at my ask of medium rare. The dish was flavorful! My only downside was it had too much sauce which made the bottom of the dishes extra salty towards the end. The pizza crust was nice with just right amount of toppings and the tuna salad with great mix of toppings the compliments each other and tuna beautifully seared and still rare inside. We used to come here for late nights and always get the tofu stir fry and the tofu lettuce wraps but the last two times we came the lettuce wraps they forgot to take out the chicken both times and then the tofu stir fry was badly burnt. We almost never ask for replacements but it was too toasty to eat and so we asked for a replacement that was just as burnt. It led us to think that perhaps there were new kitchen staff that weren't sure how long to cook tofu for. So we came back and gave it another shot only for it to not have changed. Our server was lovely and understanding with such kindness I think we would be back but I would try another dish.
