The layout of this place is so confusing. The front is on the side, not under the sign by Wicked Snow and Maht Gaek. We went through a dark tunnel just to come out to the side, before realizing the door is in the back by the ping pong place. We had 15+ people in our party so we made sure to call ahead for reservation. They don't have prices listed anywhere, but I believe we paid $45/hr for a 15-person room on Saturday night. The room was pretty big and there were 2 TVs so everyone can see. I didn't like the layout of the table, since they were long skinny tables mounted to the ground. It made moving around difficult since the middle walkway is very skinny as well. I believe they also have a club next door because it got loud around midnight, and if you leave the karaoke room, you can't hear anything. They charge $2 for a water bottle, which sucks because other places give us free water. The karaoke system is what you usually see at other places so nothing's special. Make sure that all party members are over 21 if going after 10 PM. They check IDs when you come in at the front desk. read more

lol it smelled so bad throughout the entire place... immediately upon entering we were hit with the unmistakable stench of sewage. My clothes still smelled like a portapotty after we left. Like others have said, drinks are very expensive and the karaoke system is dated. I'm giving 2 stars because the staff were really nice to us and took extra time to explain how the system works. They were super accommodating and it was great for a group activity. Private room karaoke is the best! The room by itself was $50/hr, so make sure your group can split the cost and that is something everyone agrees to. Also, the songs in the books are not the only ones they have - search whatever you want and it is probably in there. read more

If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. For starters the whole place smelled like shit like poop everywhere, that should've been the first sign then the rooms AC didn't work and me and my whole party was hot, literally sweating, 10 minutes in, next the prices are insane 1 tequila sunrise was 16 dollars 12 plus tax plus a 2 dollar service charge for no reason, 25 dollars for 1 bottle of soju and a beer. They have this dumbass rule where if you get the bottle delivered to you're room you gotta pay a 20% service fee and for the drink we got they added it even when we took it back ourselves. Extremely sleazy place I am never coming back, also the machine is all in Korean so if you don't know Korean your fucked, if we didn't pre game we would've left way earlier. I was formally introduced to the cultural experience of Korean karaoke spots while visiting the Dallas area. This spot is very popular amongst the community and rightfully so. It's clean, service is attentive, and the system is easy to learn once you're shown a few tips by the staff if you're a non-Hangul speaker. We didn't have a chance to try their food as a way to get through the session but I can speak to the drink experience a bit. Soju and beers a plenty and ice cold glasses to enjoy them both in. Makes for a great time after an hour or two. Will definitely be checking this place out again! read more

Nice place, one of my favorites but the dudes working there have a giant attitude. I went with my friend who speaks fluent Korean and they were so nice to her and the front desk lady was so kind, but once we went to check out the man at the front had a giant attitude, didn't like that we wanted to split it even though the nice lady before said we could. And then doubled charged me for the room and told me it would not go through but low and behold it did and every time I try to call their answer machine is full so trying to get a refund is futile. If you go then only use cash as they will scam you, I specifically took my friend here as it's one of the only places I know that does authentic Korean karaoke unlike other more Americanized places. Really sucks as I work in customer service and would never treat my customers this way to their face. At least put on a fake ass smile then talk trash in the back to your coworkers. Fun spot, makes you feel like you are inside an old apple phone that's been beat up but trying to hold on, it won't stay together like an old Nokia phone but it's trying hard. There's a lot of song options, of course most are Korean but there is an "English" section. The English section is what we used, it was mostly music from the 80s - early two thousands but it was still fun. They do offer a bar service it's a basic service but they do offer beer and liquor. I kept my drinks very simple as I could tell the employees had no idea how to make drinks, no problem for me but I could see that nothing someone if they are not aware ahead of time. read more

Do not come here if you don't know Korean. If you're not Korean, you'll most likely get taken advantage of. Came here for the first time and the people at the Karaoke front desk were extremely cold and rude. We were on the waitlist and, without being told beforehand, we finally got into our room only to discover all remote controls and songs were in Korean. There were maybe two english songs. None of the waitstaff was helpful or accommodating at all. Despite only staying ten minutes, we were still charged twice for the drinks we purchased while waiting for our room. Lastly, the location is sketchy as hell. Would definitely not recommend in a million years. I hope this place gets shut down. read more

Ive been to quite a few Karaoke places around the metroplex and this is the only one that hasn't updated their systems. They still use the old karaoke system whereas everyone else has switched to using tablets that let you choose from whatever Youtube has to offer. The mic's are horrible. You have to basically put them in your mouth to get your voice to catch (or just scream the whole song). Outside of that, Soju prices are about the same everywhere, but their bathrooms are disgusting. Definitely won't be back here. read more

Great place for karaoke with friends, only $5 per person per hour. The rooms were very cozy and I had a great time there, and special thanks for them being open towards those under 21. I would for sure return here and have another karaoke night. Just wish there were some more songs on the list, especially with Chinese songs. read more

It was my first time going here and we had a good time, but the bill was INSANE. We got one bowl of food for someone + a few beers/a soju/waters + 2.5 hours of karaoke, which came out to be over $160?! They specifically said $20/hr + whatever else you order. The math ain't mathing because I included 20% gratuity + full 3 hours in there to give grace and the max I calculated was $140. I should've asked for an itemized list of all the costs. I should've looked at the reviews before coming here because others had the same issue. This place feels like a rigged carnival game. Some employees were snappy. Not a lot of karaoke options around, but I still would think twice about returning... The place is a challenge to find if you've never been before. There are signs all over the place for Singbox, but the best entrance is on the side and through a bar area. (Was that Yasijang?) It was then really difficult to communicate and secure a room. We didn't book a reservation beforehand, but we got there early (~7 PM), left a phone number, and went to have dinner. They hadn't called by the time we returned a little before 8 PM, and they seemed to think we were a different group. We had wanted two rooms for our large group so that everyone could have more mic time, but despite asking several times, they refused. (I guess it's a way to optimize business...) There was a lot of space, and I was impressed that they had the lights and tambourines... but the technology disappointed us. The songs were really old and limited in most languages other than Korean. Putting in songs was also really difficult with a slow-responding bulky remote control. Learn Korean or bring a Korean friend for more options and so they can help you read the remote. Even though we had several useful Korean-literate friends, we could not figure out how to turn the music up the whole night. None of the music videos matched the actual songs, and the whole thing reminded us of Asia in the 1990s. The drink options were plentiful, and some of our group's tasty favorites included the white grape and peach flavored soju. Disclaimer: I'm not one to frequent karaoke places, so maybe this is the norm... My friends from Asia were definitely in shock at how retro this place was! read more

A karaoke place to have fun with friends. You can rent out a room and everyone sings together! They give you two microphones so you can duet. You press a button to get drinks delivered to your room or you can go to the open bar area for shorts . Must wear a mask when walking outside the rooms. Rooms are typically available by hour so check your time so you don't over pay. They have any type of music. Not just Asian! Great night fun! read more

Run. The absolute most unwelcoming, unprofessional and impersonal staff service in the world. My boyfriend took me on a date here and I was so excited. This place will make you want to cry and leave with an empty wallet. My date and I ended up leaving early and didn't even stay to sing. (Heads up. The staff won't bother to tell you the karaoke remote and all its controls are solely in Korean, nor tell you how it all works beforehand). Yet, we were still charged for twice the amount of two drinks we drank while waiting for our karaoke room. Great atmosphere, but they love to nickel and dime you. They charge by 15 minute increments for the karaoke rooms, and if you go just 1 minute over, they charge you for the 15 minutes--regardless of how long you stand in line to pay. Additionally, make sure you eat and drink next door first. They charge an expensive and non-waivable "service charge" if you want to order something and have it in your karaoke room (even if you want to wait and bring it in yourself). We came on Saturday night(02/21), at that time is around 2:00 is closing time, but the server who never nice said, but the act he do so rude " clap clap" let's go let's go. The list of song choices is very nice. However, service was really bad. We are not a Korean group of people and were not able to use the giant controller because it's all in Korean. The guy came in once to explain everything once but it was hard to understand because he didn't speak great English so we couldn't tell what he was telling us. Anyway, we were able to get songs rolling and in queue for a little bit but we accidentally pushed the wrong button and got to a screen we couldn't get out of. So we called for assistance and he seemed annoyed when we called him in a 2nd time to help us with the controls and dashed away! Needless to say we only stayed there for about an hour. We didn't leave any tip because we didn't eat there but the guy was like OH YOU HAVE TO LEAVE TIP BECAUSE HE BROUGHT IN ONE BOTTLE OF BEER! Seriously? Came here with a group of 10 friends to check out this new Korean place on a Friday night. Overall experience was quite disappointing. TL;DR: Setting is open and spacious, so good for big groups. However, food portions were small and pricey! Best to spend your money at DSS or Ddong Ggo for bigger portions at comparable/better prices. Service needs improvement. FOOD/PRICE: Small portions and expensive! We ordered about 10 items and I'll highlight the disappointments. 1) Seafood pancake: Super thin and wasn't cut up the for us that we had to ask for a knife to do so ourselves. 2) Honey butter whole chicken: Although it was tasty, came out uncut as well, so again we had to cut it ourselves. 3) Honey buffalo wing: 6 chicken pieces shouldn't cost 14.99! Tasted doughed up and fried, nothing special. 4) Korean style egg roll: Pretty standard to taste and portion was small. SERVICE: Servers seemed clueless and inexperienced. We literally had to ask for everything: extra utensils, shot glasses for the soju, spoons and bowls for the soup, and knives to cut up food that should've been cut up before being served. Although they were accommodating, this area definitely needs improvement. Also, they were being really picky and weird with where we were able to sit; there were so many open tables! read more

The owner/operator Danny Cho and HD Lee really make you feel at home and the food prepared by Danny Jr. is out of this world. The best of Japanese-Korean fusion mixed with great soju and beer specials always make for a great experience. Being a karaoke enthusiast for 20+ years, I was really impressed by the state of the art karaoke rooms that feel like a utopian future journey. That could also be the soju, but the rooms are very clean and upscale. Depending on the day, Danny will usually provide some extra soju on the house. read more

I only come here for Singbox but it is my favorite karaoke place in the DFW area. I used to go to Norazo all the time but my friends and I found that Singbox is nicer and cleaner than others. Singbox also updates their song list regularly so newer songs are always there whenever my friends and I look. I know in other DFW places, even popular songs that were out for a month weren't on the list which was really confusing. The staff are all nice despite how loud some groups I go with can be and they dealt with a huge group I went with recently really well. They were all kind and were quick to help and put us in a different room when we asked. The rooms we went into were all really clean and whenever we had a mic problem, staff were very quick to help us fix it. read more

When the lady came back she clocked us out and instead of it being $25 it was $32 and since we were 2 minutes late charged us an extra $7. The server was rude and ignored requests to lower the volume. The microphones had a ridiculous amount of echo and feedback, and the staff did nothing to help. We had to figure out the echo controls ourselves, and the Korean remote didn't make things easier. Song selection was also not the largest. A pretty poor experience overall. read more

We went on a Saturday and the guy who checked us in was very rude. He showed us to our room and closed the door. It was our first time there so we didn't know how to use the remote control. It was all in Korean. So we press the ring for service. He came back and gave us a quick review on how to use then left again. No drinks or menu offer. So we had to call him again to ask for a menu. He was really rude. He asked if there's was any special and he said no, not for Saturday. However, when we checked out, with a different person, he told us that all Soju were 30% off. Well we could have ordered more Soju and they could have made more money from us. I guess they dont care about service there because they automatically added tips to your bill. read more

Been hearing so many good things about this new place so I had to try it out last week. My friend and I arrived too early so the place were a bit empty. The place was very well decorated that reminded me of an old school days! We had several yakitori skewers and deep fried chicken (Tong Dak)and the deep fried pork cutlet with grape flavoured Soju,I highly recommend the pork cutlet it was so juicy and crispy! I personally think that this place has more vibrant environment than Ddonggo where later on the place were getting crowded with nice tunes! read more
