I've been to Mulan more often than not. This is my favorite place to go when I can't decided where I want to go - definitely a place thats been slept on! It is a modern open venue concept with bench/table seating. You can see the kitchen make the xiao long bao and noodles. The menu is a QR code - the server comes up to you afterwards. The server is very polite and brings everything you need to the table. I ordered the: - xiao long bao and they never disappoints. I recommend getting there steamed juicy dumplings when you go. They are very flavorful and has tons of soup! - chef's special kung pao chicken - It's a different twist on it which I like because it's in-between Sichuan popcorn chicken and kung pao I would definitely recommend!

Cute place but not busy, which was weird bc they have great reviews! They didn't have steam buns that night but that was one of the main reasons I chose this place ): The egg drop soup was weird bc it had corn in it, it was a little bland also but added sauce and we were good. Dumplings were okay but needed sauce to give it some life. Maybe we just went on a bad day?

I had the beef noodle soup and it was pretty good. I added some chilis and a little soy sauce. Also their soup dumplings were absolutely delicious. I might consider coming back just for them. The place was really quiet on a Tuesday night so don't be afraid to stop in if you want to grab a quick bite.

I tried out Mulan Noodle and Grill while in the area but picked up the order to go since they were about to close the dining room in the late afternoon between lunch and dinner. Things weren't too busy with only a handful of other patrons picking up to go orders while I waited and noone dining in at the time. I ordered the Pork Juicy Steamed Dumplings (6 pieces ~$12) as well as the Pork belly gravy noodle (~$15). The dumplings were really good but not really a full meal on their own. The pork belly was a little salty for my tastes but overall it was an enjoyable meal. This place seem pretty solid overall. It's always nice to have another option for good dumplings too. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Overall solid food! I got beef noodle soup to go and was pretty pleased. I usually reserve 5 stars for amazing food and service but this place still deserves a solid 4 as I had a good experience. The inside is nice and clean and I'll have to stop by to dine in next time.

String beans were crunchy and flavorful.

The three of us ordered the following: pork fried juicy buns, eggplant with garlic sauce, sauteed string beans, flat noodles with beef (chow fun), and the mushu shrimp. With the exception of the mushu dish, which we thought was just average (the dish had too much sauce and was salty, especially if you spread hoisin sauce on the pancakes), the other four dishes were all excellent. Each dish was full of flavor, freshly prepared, and the presentation was appealing and vibrant. Prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly and responsive. The restaurant is kept bright, is super clean, and is nicely decorated. We will return to try the other menu items soon.

Mulan is a great place for super reliable Chinese food. I recommend getting the dumplings or noodles when coming here, as they're made in-house and nothing beats fresh dumplings or noodles. The interior is very modern and casual, great for a quick lunch or dinner spot. The service is quick and helpful.

I ordered the chicken rice noodles. They were ok, but very salty(guessing msg?) The hubby got Milan Noodle soup and didn't like it. Beat was tough and dry and it was in soup??? The spring rolls were very doughy. The soup dumplings were good. Service was good. I wouldn't come back.

This was an hour drive for us and it was worth it. Not very many places that have real soup dumplings. Not only do they have soup dumplings, but they have a wide assortment of steamed buns and noodles. I was extremely excited to see the Stir Fried Rice Noodles. On the menu because those are my favorite and I usually only see those at the Chinese buffets that we no longer frequent because the quality of the food has just gone downhill. They had a seafood option, so I got shrimp as my protein. The real treat was the sesame sweet cakes. I haven't had anything like it before, and I just loved it. The hubs went with Sweet and Sour soup, the juicy meat dumplings and stir fried rice noodles with beef. Sweet and Sour soup was flavorful and plenty of tofu. The soup dumplings were piping hot when they came to the table and my husband almost burnt off the top layer of his tongue because he just couldn't wait to try them. I wish this place wasn't an hour away. When we are really craving soup dumplings we will be making the drive.

We wanted the juicy dumplings for dinner and found Mulan. The pork dumplings were so juicy it squirted out at my first bite! Highly recommend dipping it in their vinegar with a few slices of ginger on top. It was really delicious. Next came the shrimp and pork fried buns. The bottom was crispy and the filling had a whole shrimp laying on top of the pork. Highly recommend lightly dipping it in soy sauce. Loved it. The string beans were also very good. You can specify how spicy you would like it cooked. It went perfectly with the dumplings.

As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.
