I came by on a Sunday around 6:30 pm and it was pretty quiet -- just two other parties dining in -- though they were pumping out a steady stream of takeout (which is usually how I order too). I decided to dine in since I were nearby. There's retail garage parking in the back. The restaurant has doors in both the front and rear, depending on how you walked up. The interior is pretty spacious with plenty of seating inside and is very orange. The room is a little echo-y, so I can see it getting loud when it's busy. Service was solid, despite there being only one person handling the cashier and the floor. Ordering was done on a digital kiosk. The one waitstaff brought water, napkins, an extra bowl to share, and gave us a heads up that the food was coming. The food came out in about 15 minutes. I ordered the Signature Beef Dry Mifen, and it was pretty good -- nice spice level and flavorful sauce. I've been a fan since their Mifen Prince days in Plano. After picking up my food, I decided to eat there since it looked like a casual fast-food style restaurant plus it is super late and i am super hung! I sat down and started eating when the owner came over and told me I wasn't supposed to dine in because my order was takeout. Fine, no problem -- I was even planning to leave a tip for cleanup. Super awesome customizable mifen spot. I don't know why I thought it was a breakfast acai spot for the longest time. We ordered the dry version of their mifen and it did not disappoint. Tucked away in a retail mall on the opposite corner of the Hmart plaza, there's quiet shop that specializes in customized beef noodle soup, which for the uninitiated is comfort food at its finest. It was empty when we got there on a Friday night, but it made for quick service. Menu is relatively small and simple, so we went with the spicy beef mifen noodle soup. Overall, I was impressed with the amount of beef they gave especially - tender enough, but not fall apart and the rice noodles were slurp worthy for sure. Just enough bok choy to feel somewhat healthy. The broth is very earthy, which I actually don't like relative to other beef noodle soups, but its not too oily either. Get some warm noodle soup and it's the perfect combo! Braised Beef Mifen is their star dish. Get it with all the free toppings. The pickled ones make it. It comes spicy, but super mildly spicy. I'm painfully caucasian when it comes to heat, and this spice level didn't hurt me at all. Not a ton of beef - but this ain't' BBQ. Enjoyed the depth of flavor in broth. Chili Oil Wontons were great. Smaller portion but the wontons had a good, fresh chew to them. You gotta love that. So often wontons are cheap and pre-made. Not these. Beef rolls were killer. The pancake was almost sweet. So this place is located off George Bush and Old Denton. It's at the bottom of an apartment complex. When you turn into the parking garage from Old Denton, make a right, park on the row near the apartment courtyard and you will see the storefront. Now about the food. I ended up there because I wanted ramen. I went with the recommendation instead and got the braised beef bowl with rice noodles. Those noodles were larger. I should have went with ramen. Next time. I got it to go. There was very little wait because it had just opened. That worked out because I hear it can get pretty busy at times. I enjoyed it when I got home. They give you plenty. We recently moved to the area and I wanted to check this place out after seeing in on social media. Everything we tried was good but the standouts were the signature dry beef mifen. The noodles are chewy, soft and bouncy. The sauce was slightly too salty but overall it was really flavorful. I added a fried egg and it definitely took it to the next level. You can also build your own bowl. The dumplings were so good! They were super juicy and tasted amazing. The scallion pancake was also very flaky and crispy. Soups were so flavorful with great umami flavor, the cucumber salad was very refreshing; garlicky with the perfect crunch. Ordered marinated golden soy sauce chicken today. Delicious! The chicken is incredibly flavorful and tender. The owner mentioned that they use chickens with no hormone injections. Wow- I'm speechless! 10/10- no 50/10! The service was superb! My husband and I were greeted so friendly by the front house staff- she explained the menu to us and let us try some samples which is SO SO helpful I wish other places did this with drinks! I ended up getting the wintermelon drink- it's actually sweeter than hibiscus tea. I loved the yogurt too surprisingly even though it wasn't as sweet as I usually like- it's not sour and so easy to drink. For the food I got a dry beef noodle soup with a side of soup. Wow the flavor just explodes in your mouth- garlicky, a lil spicy, and so so rich! I get the hype for sure! The wontons were amazing too! We saw the chef prepping them at the table behind us so you know it's freshhhh fresh. All in all this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. There was one person who was taking orders but i think it looked like she was also responsible for water refills and I'm not sure if they had staff designed to wipe down used tables between guests because the table next to us wasn't bussed for at least 20 minutes and still wasn't bussed when we left and the place was busy. Most concerning of all was my husband went to the bathroom and said the sink was draining incredibly slowly. that is not the impression you want to give your guests in the food service industry. Just to know, the store front faces inside an apartment complex so do pull in to the garage and park on first floor (retail painted on ground). 3 of us had the regular spicy beef soup and wife had the non-spicy version with beef slices. The standard spicy wasn't bad, but didn't think much of it on the broth. It was just sort of there without much aroma that some traditional beef noodle places may have. Typical small cuts of beef, totalled about quarter pounds worth, and some onions. And the rice noodle was a bit soft without the texture of regular noodles, which was expected, so that's more of a personal preference on noodles, but it wasn't mine. My wife had the clear broth and sliced beef. She said it was so bland she had to add some soy sauce to it. We also got onion pancake and beef rolls. Both were ok, but it wasn't anything that really made them stand out. Overall, they were friendly, service was expected, and food was good. Just not quite what I expected from the high reviews.
