Went to eat zaru soba, a Japanese summer dish that I've been craving. Serving was so generous and very tasty! They also show the WC games !

Pretty good Japanese restaurant with solid bento box options! I got the chicken karaage bento box for $16 and it had good portions and tasted great! I wished the chicken was more crispy, but it tasted good nonetheless. You order through a table kiosk, and it's cashless. I didn't wait long for my food to be prepared (5-10 minutes). The restaurant is clean and quite spacious. The reason I rated it 4 out of 5 is bc there were tables with foods and plates that weren't cleaned up more than 10 minutes after the customers left. I didn't see the servers or any employee walking and checking on the customers or clearing tables close to when I finished eating. TLDR: Food is great, good price, and would definitely come again, but I think Abe needs more employees.

Over the years, we've been here a few times. But to say what they're known for or what I missed about them, I wouldn't be able to tell you. So recent visit was a choice by my wife as we had a party of 5. As you see in the pictures, we we had an assortment of bento and such. The 2 katsu, my son had the chicken and I had the pork. Both were nicely fried and tender. Overall, it was a better experience than in the past, which is a good thing.

Abe has a lot of unique Japanese dishes you likely won't find elsewhere. Plenty of seating when you walk in and vibe is chill. We ordered on the iPad and the food came out super quick. The beef udon soup was flavorful and broth was beefy. I even had enough for leftovers. The Sun Kissed sushi roll was fresh and bright with yuzu and plenty of salmon. The pork ekiben over rice was delicious and comforting! Love that it's a chill spot and want to try other things in their menu next time like their katsu and bento boxes.

First time here and it was nice. A clean place & easy to order. The food was so fresh and filling! You can tell they really strive for freshness. My only issue is not having the server experience, we didn't know if there were refills, utensils, etc. We just charged it to the game and enjoyed what we could.

The food was delicious! We went in during a busy time but they were able to accommodate a seating for us. It's pretty much self-order/service here other than the workers coming to bring out your food. The menu is pretty extensive and diverse. I had the kimchi cheese katsu and it was really crispy with a perfect amount of kick from the kimchi. The soba was really delicious too, the noodles had just the right amount of chewiness. One thing to keep in mind, you have to pay first even if you order at the table (tap to pay).

Japanese spot in the middle of the Korean plaza was an interesting choice but glad I went. The food was great, got the unagi and it was as expected. Draft beers were pretty cheap but they didn't have so they were able to sub it out for a can beer instead. You order on the app which I like and the server will being out everything to your table. Tons of booths to choose from or tables if you prefer

Decided to eat Japanese with a few friends and stumbled upon Abe. I ordered the curry katsu with side of soba and it was delicious. The curry was slightly sweet and had good umami flavor that was rich, chicken was crispy and the side of cold soba was also delectable. I found the style and ambiance to be minimalistic and cozy. Ordering through the QR menu and having it delivered was also niche and hassle free. I would definitely come back next time!

The service and ambiance is very nice. the menu is on a QR code/touch screen and they bring it out to you afterwards. They have a station for water and to-go boxes which is convenient. They utilize their space well for how big the venue is. There was some wait time, but they get you seated pretty quick. We ordered: - cold soba noodles - the flavors were great and the dipping sauce had lots of flavor - calamari - very crispy - I would recommend - sashimi bowl - I feel the salmon to rice ratio was off - there was more rice than sashimi - katsu ekiben - the portion was good - okonomiyaki - on the oiler side, but the flavors are good and a good dish to share Everything was sized great for the price and definitely hits the spot if you're craving Japanese food.

Always my go-to for kimchi cheese katsu ($16)! The meat was a bit tough this time but I guess it can be a hit or miss. The kakuni ekiben ($16) came with so much rice underneath in their rectangular wooden boxes with 6 pork belly slices. We obviously ended up wasting half of the rice. Wish it had a few more pieces of meat instead of half of the veggie garnishes. Overall, I like how the place comes up with new menu items and keeps up with the renovations. You can order through their tablets on tables which is convenient!

Solid Japanese spot! We got there right before the dinner rush but it does get packed. Edamame ($4) was perfectly salted and portion. The abe udon ($8) was a tad salty but over wise great! The curry katsu don ($13) was huge! The katsu was so flakey but the curry was lacking a bit. If it had more veggies I think it would be perfect. Service was quick and clean! You do have to get your own water and sides but def recommend this spot if you're not in the mood for Korean food

FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: diverse menu of authentic Japanese food! THE VIBE: surprisingly very modern with earth wood tones and you order through an iPad so kinda techy. PRICE: ~$50 (with total + small tip- pricier than I thought!) WOULD I COME BACK? Maybe. **** Overall Rating: 7/10 - I love Japanese food but this place was pricier than other places I've tried before. - I specially came to try the okonomiyaki which is something I've generally never had before and tbh it was kind of soggy which I don't know if it's supposed to be like that in general. - The udon had great flavor actually do recommend that. - The bento box had a great variety. The salmon was okay it was slightly fishy!

Was craving soba noodles and found this spot while searching online. The food did not disappoint and were left with great thoughts about the place! My boyfriend and I got there around 3-4 PM so there was barely any people and the service was quick and attentive. So I will list the foods what we both ranked from top to bottom: 1) Soba noodles were definitely up there. The noodles were perfect and the sauce was full of flavor by itself and putting the additional ingredients in. We were very impressed by this dish and will definitely come back for this again. 2) Fried calamari legs: always a fan of a good calamari! Breading was good. 3) Kakuni don: pork belly tasted delicious! My boyfriend would've liked it more if it had veggies but I usually prefer my don without it. 4) Cheese Katsu: the Katsu was okay but it was actually the salad that stole the show on the dish. The cabbage was nice and crunchy while the sauce really made it delicious. The only thing that threw me off was to pay and provide tip right when we're ordering on the tablet. Luckily everything we ordered was delicious and we enjoyed our time there!

    Sunomono goodness!

The noodles had great texture, the broth was rich without being overly salty, and the side dishes were fresh and plentiful. Service was straightforward and efficient--not overly chatty, but they got the job done and kept things moving smoothly. You won't feel ignored, but you also won't be on a first-name basis with your server by the end of the night. Ambiance is simple and casual. It's not trying to be fancy--it's more of a laid-back, everyday kind of place where the focus is clearly on the food. If you're looking for a trendy vibe, this isn't it.
