Friends and I toured the island while on a cruise. Our tour guide highly recommended this place, stating it was the only place in town that served local/authentic island food. It's a hole-in-the-wall with a few tables; and a counter that featured a variety of dishes. I ordered the goat along with rice and veggies. My two friends shared a shrimp dish. Everything was very good. The portions were huge!! It's located 0.4 mile walk from the water area where the other touristy restaurants are located. I'd go back!!

Every now and then you come across a jewel. Singhs is that jewel. We were on a cruise last week that stopped in St. Croix and hired a driver to show us around for a couple of hours. I told him I would like to try some local food that is not a tourist trap and he took us to Singhs which he frequents himself and was definitely known by the person behind the counter. We ordered salted fish, curry shrimp, mac n cheese, sweet potato and beans. OMG!!!! sooo freaking good and priced right for sure. It was definitely the place we were hoping to find and will go back to when there again.

Doubles, where to start? I was on vacation my friend brought us food from here it it was so good..I'm almost sad that I can't get these where I live. The Caribbean population is very low so my chances of having another are extremely low. We enjoyed shrimp, and potato doubles I ate 1.5 but wanted another one. The flaky fried bread was so good, the flavor was all the way there no shortness in that department. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely return. If you're trying to eat healthy watch out, they'll do you in but if you're in vacation on a tropical island trying to enjoy life and all that it has to offer, come here! I wasn't able to see the setup inside the restaurant but if they're putting out food this good, I don't even need to see it, just hand over the doubles !!!!

    Roti

Really enjoyed the meal. There were 6 or so meat options and we tried 4. We got it to go and ate family style. Everything was good. My personal favorite was the shrimp. Owners were super friendly. We would definitely come back.

Sorry for lack of a specific address - its downtown on a NE intersection corner. Found this little gem wondering around one evening looking for a place for dinner. 3-4 tables inside - looks to do a lot of take-out business. Large selection of food, great prices. With limited choices, wish we had found this earlier in our stay (typical).

Good indian food with island twist rich menu & you get local goat curry. Bhatooras were better than most places in NYC. Just liked this place. Not great for dining but awesome for take out.

Food didnt taste good to me at all. The curry goat was rubbery and the cabbage was soggy.

Fortunately for us,…read morewe got a great table in the grotto, and we were warmly welcomed individually by all of the staff. Service from top to bottom was outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing. And then there's the food and drink. First off, I love red wine and once upon a time amassed a pretty legit 800+ bottle collection. They had gems from my cellar on the list! On an island in the middle of the Caribbean! What?! I've not seen Turley on a wine list outside of the mainland in a decade, for example. And they had 4 different Turley options. Including one by the glass. Amazing. The food matched everything that preceded it; simply outstanding and captured a sublime balance of island and haute cuisine. The Lazy Lobster crawled mercilessly into our bellies, melded with plush mashed potatoes and perfectly al dente asparagus and a delicate sauce. The Lamb Shank masterpiece, served over gnocchi and the most wonderful au jus, melted over the palate, delivering a resounding umami "whoa" tingle. Both paired beautifully with our wine selections. Dessert was a rum strawberry masterpiece, complimented by one of the best espresso martinis we've ever had, and a generous pour of Angel's Envy bourbon. One of the best meals of our lives, anywhere, and we've been to some of the best restaurants on the planet. Maybe it was the sea breeze, maybe it was kismet, but regardless, we loved it start to finish and highly recommend Savant. We're no idiots!

Around the back of the restaurant is a covered outdoor courtyard with lush plants, a full bar, and lots of seating (extra points for the fans, the air circulation is phenomenal). Next the service. Impeccable. Every person that we encounter from the host, the bar tender and the waitress were so very friendly. I appreciated the recommendations that they had to offer on food and drinks (because everything looked so good). Some of the best service I've had on the island so far. Now finally, the FOOD!! You could tell it's was going to be good just from how the staff spoke about it. We had three appetizers (lobster egg rolls, ceviche, and calamari). Each were very unique and flavorful, great size for sharing, everything you hope for in good appetizers. For my entree I was torn between many different things, but with the help of staff I decided to go with the bacon wrapped double pork chop. And WOW I'm so happy I did. I always fear with pork chops of a dry, hard to chew meal but this was far from reality. The cut of meat was so juicy and easy to cut and chew. The flavor was fantastic. Cooked to perfection. For dessert I decided to go with a classic vanilla rum cake and it was perfect. I loved Savant, it was an experience from start to finish. 10000/10 recommend that you try this restaurant when on St. Croix!

I discovered this gem of a bar & restaurant called KT TOUCH * Food & Drinks . KT TOUCH is a bar that offers local seafood dishes, as well as chicken and pork and of course, they have a full bar available to make any drink possible. Being they appear to be heavily influenced by the Santo Dominican culture, they also carry mamajuana and it's pretty solid! I recommend giving it a shot! You can see KT TOUCH from the road and it basically just appears to be a shack with a small canopy seating area and a separate kitchen. They also have porta*potties behind the bar area. The service is friendly, but there is often a slight language barrier because the wait-staff is proficient in Spanish; but they know enough English to take orders and it's definitely not a dealbreaker. Parking is simple & easy to access and it doesn't seem too crowded during my visit. I love the Latin vibes with the music playlist and the ambiance had me feeling like I was in some bar on the side of the road in the Dominican Republic Food was tasty and seasoned well. I recommend their fish plates and I highly recommend their sancocho (a hearty soup that's packed with goodness and great for sobering up). Sancocho isn't easy to find on island, so it makes this place a gem and easy to access. Overall, I really liked KT TOUCH Food & Drinks and the only thing that's a slight bother are the mosquitos in their open-patio seating, but that's really just part of island life I recommend checking this spot out!
