We went here for the first time on a rainy Sunday. We were very warmly greeted by the owners. This is a very small place and not fancy. However, the food was absolutely amazing. This is really good. My only comment is for the price, the portion sizes are small. The food was hot, delicious. Service was quick. The restaurante isn't really great to eat in... it's more a pick up and go type of place, not for date nights. The food here is a 10/10, so happy i stopped by today to try authentic indian food for the first time. It was recommended by a friend and I am soooo glad i listened to her. Another restaurant that has been on our list that we just finally got around to. We regret it took us so long. We ended up going around 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. It was an off time between lunch and dinner but we just finished up an event and thought now is a better time than any. There is very little parking in the front. I think a big part of their business is take out. We walked inside and there were a lot more tables than we were expecting. There was about 6 or 7 tables. We said we were going to dine in and the lady at the counter explained that it is more of self serve approach to dining in; the food would come out in to-go containers and we would have to get our out disposable cutlery at the counter, which was completely fine for us. They have a refrigerated case with sodas (US and Indian varieties) along with some desserts. We were given some menus and went to our table to peruse. Since we were the only ones in there, she came to the table to take our order. We went with Tandoori chicken and butter naan. We thought it would come with rice but it didn't so we quickly placed an order when the food came out without rice. Typically we don't like chicken on the bone, but it was so tender and flavorful and it just literally fell off the bone. It came with a mint sauce that was so good. We wish we asked for more. The one order of butter naan was plenty for us. The rice was so fragrant. The meal was plenty to split between the two of us. The man and woman at the restaurant were so pleasant and thankful for our business. There was a lot of traffic of to-go orders being picked up while we were there. Another family came in to dine in and you could hear them praising the food as well. You could tell the owners put a lot of pride into the food and quality of their recipes. Really fortunate to have this place close by. We will be back soon to try some other of their dishes. read more

We ordered dinner from there during a weekend in November, 2023. The restaurant is not located in the most attractive place, but looks can be deceiving. The inside was very clean and the staff were very pleasant. We ordered chicken biriyani, palak chana, chili paneer, and some breads and each dish was plentiful and very tasty. We all have "one" (or more) that have gotten away.....we think back on the good times and wonder what if? Was it something I did? Or didn't do? Or was the timing just off...? Dream Spicy was the most recent one in my life. And it stung. I had the perfect Indian restaurant a short walk away. But as much as I loved it, I was fickle, always having to try new places and other cuisines. When that beloved spot closed I waited to try other places, almost knowing that they wouldn't be as good. But time heals all wounds and I recently starting trying some new Indian places..... When I saw this listing on Yelp I naively thought it might be my old flame back with a new name. Both locations are small and easily overlooked. There was no hint in the few reviews so I decided to find out for myself. I called in a takeout of chicken biryani and chicken 65. I wasn't sure about eat in options but on arrival I realized that there are about 8 tables if you prefer to eat there. I didn't have time to eat right away but I took pics and sampled the dishes. I knew it wasn't DS, but it was ok. Once I was able to sit down and enjoy my meal, I found it to be better than ok. The biryani was pretty good, it needed a little bit of a stir to mix in spices and aromatics, and the chicken( of which there was a good amount) absorbed more of the flavor. The chicken 65 had a spicy and tangy sauce that was very good, but the chicken wasn't fried. It may have been sautéed in the sauce. The dish was ok but I much prefer it when there's a crispness to the meat. I'm rounding up only slightly as I'm pretty sure I'll be retuning to try more things. I hope that others in this area will give it a try as well. read more

Been looking for a nice comfort food type spot. This is a good place to do so. I had been a big fan of Palace of Asia but that closed down. Yes, I know they moved to a bit further down. But, they've also increased their prices pretty considerably. Totally get that their expenses have gone but been on the hunt for somewhere where i don't have to necessarily care about what I wear and has just good food that i can overeat, but not regret. Portions could be a touch bigger but was sufficient - i usually like left overs for lunch the following day but didn't happen here. So, if you want that extra, you're going to have to order that extra dish. I'll definitely be back. People were friendly at the ordering counter. I've ordered from Singh's Kitchen four different times now, and I kept putting off my review based on popular opinion. After my most recent order, I just can't past a three star rating. I've had the Malai Koftka, Paneer Tikka, Chicken Saag, Chicken Vindaloo, Goat Curry and Lamb Biryani, and while nothing has been a disaster or inedible, I've never really been impressed by anything either. The flavors seem muted and the serving sizes are consistently smaller than their numerous competitors in the area (although in their defense, the prices are lower, too). While there are tables to dine in at, I really wouldn't consider doing so, this establishment is definitely designed as a take out-first restaurant. The owner is very friendly and kind, but unfortunately there are just far too many places in the Plainsboro/Mercerville/Hamilton area that are so much better. A regretful three stars. read more

We really liked this restaurant but now it is inferior to its competition. The Vegetable Biryani had few vegetables or nuts. The Aloo Gobhi cauliflower tasted frozen and defrosted. The Palak Paneer was OK as was the Chana Masala but the CM was very soupy. But everything arrived cold or lukewarm. The garlic naan was in an insulated bag but was also cold. You shouldn't have to warm up your take-out food. If they tell you to arrive in 30 minutes does it now mean 15 minutes or get cold food? We won't be back. Luckily there is some competition for Indian food lovers. It's too bad that people will be introduced to Indian food by Singh's Kitchen. It was superior and now it is worse than average. read more

I've ordered from here at least a half dozen times. The food has been pretty great and the prices are decent. However, on my last order I didn't receive any rice with our entrees (Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo) and we also didn't get our Chicken Tikka appetizer. I tried calling them back but nobody answered the phone. So unfortunately we were still hungry and had to cook our own dinner since we only got half of what we paid for. Update: DoorDash refunded me for the Chicken Tikka appetizer that I paid for and didn't receive... but I would have rather eaten it than get a refund. read more

Grabbed dinner from here tonight and thought it was decent. First, I called in my order and it was ready pretty quickly (~20 minutes), so that was nice. I ordered chicken biryani and requested it spicy. It was a little spicy but I definitely would have preferred a little more heat - I ate the whole thing without having a sip of water :) The chicken tasted moist and tender, so that was definitely a plus, but everything else was only OK. Curry isn't exactly high up on my dining partner for the evening's list of favorite flavors. Then again when I first met her, Frank's Red Hot may have been too exotic for her palate. So it was with a certain amount of trepidation that she agreed to Indian food on a Friday night. Singh's takeaway business seems to be doing all right based on the number of grubhubers and doordashers coming in and out. We decided to sit and eat. They're doing their very best to make the place nice and it shows. Lovely fresh flowers on the tables. I'm really hoping this is a stepping stone to a bigger location as the food is very good. She had the Butter Chicken - mild - and after the meal said she'd get the medium next time. The chicken was tender and sauce spiced nicely. I went with mild chicken kadai. The onions and peppers in the sauce were very good. I'd probably stick with that next time around. My dining partner agreed it was the winner between the two dishes. I had vegetable samosas and garlic naan to go along with my meal. Both were good accompaniments. The young lady working the counter was so very helpful in ordering and explaining the dishes. 2 Fridays ago we went to CC/Cross Culture in Princeton and had Shrimp Nargisi, Shrimp Vindaloo and lentils. Food was great as usual. Today we were in Hamilton and rather than carb up on pizza, we decided to take a chance on Singh's Kitchen. BEST decision ever! Dare to say the food was even better than CC. That Vindaloo at level 7 was truly amazing. Will definitely be coming back. Shrimp Nargisi, although not on the menu, was made specially for us. It was as good, if not slightly better than CC. The ambiance is not Cross Culture, more of a homey pizza place but looks clean and smell is not your typical Indian restaurant...! Chef, even came out and asked our opinion of the Shrimp Nargisi. Our answer was... it has to be on the menu. Finally also ordered Chana Masala and for dessert Gulab Jamun. Both out of this world. read more

I've been to a lot of Indian places around US, but the food at Singh's Kitchen is so authentic and worth it. It's a small setting with jam packed quality menu. The north Indian food here tastes just like you'd have in Delhi / Punjab.
