Food was bland. Got takeout because my family went up there for an event and there's very few Indian restaurants in South Jersey. We got chicken, tikka masala, palik paneer, veg biryani, and lamb vindaloo. Spent like $120 and I'm not happy with any of the dishes that I got. Threw away the chicken tikka masala because it was flavorless mostly just a heavy cream flavor. The lamb vindaloo is low on flavor as well. The palik paneer It's just OK. For the prices, I expected much better and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. What a disappointment. Update ***Got a call from the restaurant and they said because i asked for mild heat they said they purposefully make the food bland. No offer for any kind of refund. Had dinner this past week with my daughter. The place is very cozy inside and we arrived for an early dinner so it was not at all crowded and we were greeted and quickly seated. Our server was attentive and friendly. We started with the mixed bread basket which comes with naan, onion kulcha, and puri accompanied by dipping sauces. For entrees we got the lamb curry and tandoori mixed grill which comes out steaming and contains tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, malai chicken kabab, boti kabab, shrimp tandoori and fish tikka. [My Rating: 79%] + Short Review + Pandemic Era As a rule, I generally only visit Indian restaurants for carefully scouted-out lunch buffets after having been snubbed on portion sizes one too many times. However, like alpine ibexes compelled to scale vertical dam walls to lick salt deposits in a gamble to supplement dietary deficiencies, having been nutritionally deprived of any Indian food for basically the entirety of the past year, my family and I were obliged to try out this restaurant on our latest visit to Princeton. As with other takeout-only reviews I post, I feel I do need to caveat that it would be unfair to hold the texture of the food at stake at the same standard as if it were served on the spot. Things congeal, and it's not the chef's fault. While I would say it hit the high bar for flavor, it neither disappointed nor wowed on all counts. Of the four main dishes we sampled, none stood out as being particularly amazing despite still each holding their own in terms of overall taste and aroma. The texture was average, being a little overly goopy at times (although this is not always a bad thing). The rice portions were very generous, but the entrees themselves were served in smallish containers that look disappointingly small when you take them out of the bag. Perhaps this is a standard that I just need to accommodate, but the price was still on the high side even if this were the case. Although their paratha tasted great, it was quite thin, and the garlic naan we supplemented it with was an alien creation--the garlic was seemingly orange(?), and I can't recall actually registering much of a garlic flavor profile from the bread. The enigma endures. They had limited outdoor seating and a confusing pickup location situated inside a plaza, and they have yet to open up the indoor arrangements. The man at the cash register had blockaded the door with a table in observance with anti-COVID measures and was very kind and prompt. I would probably visit again, and I would definitely swing by if they had a buffet open for lunch. read more

This was the worst Indian food we have had in a while. We ate there on Sunday for dinner. The customer service initially was attentive but after we were done with our meal, it took them 25 more minutes to close out the payment so we could leave. The food was terrible. We ordered chicken tandoor, malai chicken kabab, hara bhara, lamb vindaloo, fish kabab, daal, and bread basket. The chicken was literally uncooked so we had to send it back to the kitchen. The fish was overcooked on the outside and under-cooked on inside. I felt sick/nauseous from eating it afterwards. The lamb vindaloo was tough/overcooked and lacked spice. We've had so much better in other places for $18 versus their price ($25). The breads were tough on the outside, and uncooked inside, tough to chew. And the bill was $146....and the quantity was so small - not cheap! This place deserves a review from the food board due to the undercooked meals. I asked him to make it shrimp and seafood curry which they did. Wow absolutely delicious! If you love Indian food you've got to make it out here! My friends both ordered the chicken tikka masala in a rich, creamy tomato sauce! They went to heaven right in front of me they loved every bite. Now here's something that I've never seen before, they serve you so much food that if you have any of your main dish left over, they will not only pack it up for you but they will throw in extra bread and rice to make it a meal for when you get home! Got here about quarter til noon on a weekday and was barely ahead of the lunch crowd. Collegue and I ordered two items off the lunch menu. Lamb korma and a paneer masala. The lunch includes naan, rice, and a pakora. The pakora came out and was served with two types of chutney, cilantro mint and tamarind. Pakora was piping hot and crisp while the chutneys were fresh and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The lunch entrees came out shortly after. The paneer masala came with a side of dal makhani (savory mung beans). Fresh plain rice and naan were serve. The paneer masala at cross culture is one of the creamiest sauces I've had with a paneer. While I thoroughly enjoyed everything, my Indian collegue said it was ok. I would go back to try other menu items. Tip: you can let the waitstaff know your preference of spiciness. read more

Probably the only place in the area that knows how to make Tika Marsala. The korma was tasty but very thin, a bit spicier then ordered, and a bit over engineered (overly stylized for a classic dish). The management clearly doesn't want or need business. The employee was about to ring me up when I asked if the mango lassi was VERY sweet. He said no and I was about to purchase the item. From out of nowhere a manager interrupt our conversation and negated what the employee just told me. The manager said yes, it is sweet. That wasn't even my question. of course, everyone knows mango lassi sweet. I was simply asking about the level of sweetness. He rudely told me they will not make any accommodations. It's not the fact that they don't make accommodations it was the dismissive attitude in which I was spoken to and contradicting his own employee that was off putting. After, my friend and I ate the Samosa, we both got the same type of MSG headache. Avoid this place like the plague. There are too many good Indian restaurants in this area to even bother with this disregard for customer service and their inflated prices. You know when you're handed a take out order and it weighs twice as much as you think it would? That doesn't happen often but it did at cross culture. I was a little worried the food would be of lower quality but I had read the reviews and it was simply delicious. I got one of the paneers... with peas and onions and it was so good! I ordered the Shrimp Nargisi that was delicious tasting, and the coconut sauce that the Shrimp was soaking in without the Egg. Just cant put Shrimp and Egg together in my mind. The Shrimp was fresh, and medium sized, and they give you around eight Shrimp. My friend ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, that she said was delicious. When we picked up the food, there was a table blocking entry to the restaurant but someone came out right away. We provided our name and he gave us our food which was readily available. Like other reviews have said, this place is amazing! I had no idea this existed in Princeton Shopping Center. I came here for lunch the other day. I had thought that there would be a lunch buffet, but it was Sunday, so maybe not. I liked that there was a separate lunch menu. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The chicken was delightful. It tasted like maybe it was seared first. The inside was very tender. There was an ample amount of meat in the Masala sauce. The lunch special comes with a split pea or lentil soup along with pakoras, naan, and rice. Needless to say, I was very full and had enough leftover for another meal. My boyfriend got the Chicken in the spinach sauce - I forget the name. I also recommend this one. I loved the creamed spinach. We also got a mango lassi. I could tell they used real mangos.
