Every beer was exceptional, something that rarely happens when I try a flight of beer. So happy to be so pleasantly surprised. I have always heard a lot about this brewery, and I have always enjoyed there beers when I tried them, so when we travelled to Florence for a graduation party, I knew we had to stop at Singing River. The night we visited, surprisingly we were the only ones there. It was during Covid so maybe a lot of people weren't travelling yet? Wow, what wonderful brews and service this afternoon! We arrived before the 4 p.m. opening time, but they received us with smiles and welcome. Stu had the Ghost Bridge stout, and I had the IPAcaplypse, both flagship brews. I had a flight, so there were three other brews, all very good. I was especially surprised by the Flo-Something. Darn, I forgot the name, but it was a sparkling lemon wine-style beverage, which was nicely tart and refreshing. Our bartender chit chatted with us, found out we were visiting and made some great suggestions for good eats and nearby attractions, such as a Frank Lloyd Wright house and a famous recording studio. A local brewery that offers fine beer. I especially liked the Birthday Boy, a kolsch style ale. The server was very friendly and explained the history behind the name Singing River Brewery. It seems a Native American woman, who was forced to leave, missed what her people called what translated into "the river that sings", and spent her whole life missing this river and was able to came home and was eventually buried here. A beautiful story born of a sad time and a great tale to be told over a drink, a moment to remember this woman and her love of what she called home. Again, a great place to visit if you are in the area. I even brought a six pack of mixed beer home to drink at home to toast a woman long gone who loved a place that she called home. read more

My husband and I and our friend were in Florence this past weekend to tour the Rosenbaum House, and we stopped by Singin' River Brewing for some flights of beer after our tour. I'm so glad we stopped by! The brewery had a good variety of beers (my flight had a kolsch, an IPA, a ginger and lemongrass golden ale, and a summer sour), and a cool vibe. Not crazy crowded (like we're used to Nashville), lots of picnic tables, good service! They also offered some wine slushies and wine (for those of your friends or family that don't drink beer). Nice brewery without all the hustle and bustle associated with breweries. The space is pretty large with a large outdoor area. Bartenders were very helpful and knew their beer very well. They offer a flight option that let's your try, I believe it was 5 of their beers. Some of their beers were pretty good. I was a fan of their IPA and even took a 6-pack home with me. Overall, a nice little brewery. Not really the place for someone looking for your typical brewery experience, but a nice little place to hang out. read more

I first came here 2 years ago and it was a pretty good brewery. Today I was very impressed. First, the beer selection is much improved. The owner, Rob, was behind the bar dishing up good brews, recommendations, and history of what they are doing. They have started doing a weekly small batch release. I tried several of their beers and they were all excellent. First, the IPA was very good. Then I tried the Vincent Van Gose. I've just started on sours, but thought this one was very drinkable. So good that I bought a bottle to bring home. Lastly, I tried the Boubon Barrell Orchestrator. I haven't had a Bourbon Barrell brewed beer before and thought this was an excellent brew. I like how they integrate local lore with the beer and other offerings. They also serve some wine. I bought 2 small goblets because they had engraved on them a local haunt that my wife always talked about. Ghost Bridge. This is a local bridge that apparently has some local ghostly stories associated with it. I went across it once and it was about to fall in. Since then, it has been closed down. But, the local lore, combined with great beer make this a really good brewery to visit. They also sell local artist work and have several cool paintings on the walls. I've never seen Crowlers before, but they have them here. They basically make you a 32 oz can of beer on the spot. Like a growler, only in a can. I got 2 can's of the BB Orchestrator to go. Work brought me to the wonderful Muscle Shoals area of Alabama. Sheer luck brought me to Singin' River Brewing Co. I told the client I was training that I like drinking beer and he suggested a new place that just opened, SRBC. I Googled the place and wouldn't you know it, they were hosting their Tuesday running club at 5:30PM. I put on my running outfit, took a towel from the hotel (I sweat profusely) and headed over. The tasting room is really more of a tasting living room(s). The main area has different plush and cushioned chairs facing a big flat panel TV for all those Alabama games that people tend to watch. I was told that the chairs are also for sale. What better way to spend your money when you're drunk than to buy a few recliners for your own enjoyment! Additionally, around the corner, there are a couple of dart boards and a narrower section with theater style seats facing another large flat panel TV (maybe that's for the Auburn fans to use?) I met one of the owners, Michelle, and she was extremely grateful to me for showing up for the running club. The southern hospitality she and the bartender provided was fantastic. Everyone wanted to know why I was in Muscle Shoals and a little about me. After our jaunt around the university area, the running group met back at the brewery for beer drinking. I was given a small glass of my choice (Dunkelweizen-excellent!) free of charge, which made me smile! I also had a pint of the Singin' River Pale Ale (very good) and the Weizenbock (also very good). I left SRBC a happy man. Happy to have drank great beer with such wonderful people. They've been open since April 2014 and I'm positive that they will be there for years to come. The friendly atmosphere, TVs for the big games and live entertainment along with the great beer all add up to a successful business outing. Thanks to the SRBC family for the hospitality. **Tip 1** Do the Tuesday runs! 3.5 miles and then you get to drink. At the very least, you're an athletic boozer! **Tip 2** Tell SRBC to come to Phoenix and pour their beers at one of our festivals! Google maps has issue with this establishment. I ended up at the corner of an animal hospital and a cemetery when relying upon the google maps app. I received better instruction stopping at a local gas station. From Tennessee turn on Cherry which interests the storefront. Tuesday night is not the most happening night here which was perfect for me. A few locals, a running group, a couple ransoms and me. By 7-730 it was me and Mikayla, the bartender. Sweet little 20 something. She is a people person, easy to talk to and seemed genuine. She and I polished off the days cross word in between conversation. A nice college aged girl. She had a good grasp of beer 101. I lean toward porters and stouts. They have Swampers. It's their porter and it's better than 90 percent of the craft brewery porters out there. It was well hopped, malted and smooth. I enjoyed a few of those at $5 a pint. Additionally, I sampled a few of the other offerings. The flagship IPA Ipocalipse Now, Orchestrater and a couple others. The Ipocalipse is an IPA minus the wang with citrus hops and a smooth finish. The Orchestrater was rich and malty with a smooth finish. Seems like these guys worked on perfecting their brew prior to opening a brewery. I'm a fan. I'll likely take home a 6 pack of the porter and a sixer of the Ipocalipse. Not a lot of breweries do a solid porter in my opinion. This was one of the better ones I've had from a local craft brewery for sure. Tonight was an off night which is perfect for me. A couple good quality beers in a quiet cool environment. They have trivia nights and various other night that draw more substantial crowds. This is; however, a more traditional small town brewery vs a bar. The facility is a metal a frame in an industrial area of Florence. There is a literal pipe plant across the street. The interior had casks and cool trendy decor with a glass wall displaying their brewery, with a small sliding bay door leading to a modest patio. I dig it. I would absolutely recommend it. The beer is good and I like the relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for a party, this may or may not be your spot but likely not on Tuesday night. I will likely be back next Tuesday. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon beer was okay nice roomy inside but not much seating and I get it all the social distancing puts some limits in place was a little chilly to sit outside. It's a cool open space with quite an industrial feel due to it being a workshop or similar before. They have a nice selection of beers and a cider or two as well. Great environment, it's a large area with comfortable seats and a modern look. The staff was very friendly. I personally didn't care for the beer. I wouldn't sag it was bad, but it wasn't to my liking. I tried the hefeweizen and dunkelweizen and thought both were too sweet. They were one or two percent higher in alcohol content which explains the sweetness. The IPA was also very good but also sweeter than most. Prices we're reasonable and I recommend a flight to determine what's to your liking. Overall a good experience, I just wish I enjoyed the beer. read more
