From the moment we walked in, the phlebotomist was rude and unprofessional. She kept mentioning that it was almost her lunch break and was more focused on closing the door to prevent walk-ins than on patient care. She also made unnecessary comments in front of us about how her coworkers needed to finish their paperwork so they could go to lunch. I understand that everyone has bad days, but her attitude made an already stressful situation even more uncomfortable. A week later, I received a call from my pediatrician saying that the lab results were unsatisfactory because the blood sample wasn't collected properly. Now, I have to take my newborn in for another blood draw, which is frustrating and completely avoidable. This time, I'll be going to a different Sonoran Quest location, even if it's farther, to ensure we don't have the same experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because newborn screenings are critical, and no parent should have to deal with an unprofessional attitude--let alone an improperly collected sample--when it comes to their child's health.

I've been getting my…read moremammo screening done at Simon Med over 15 years and am very happy with the service and quality of care they provide. I've also had x-ray's, MRI's, and Ultrasounds done at this same location without any issues or rudeness from any of the staff. I've been to other Simon Med locations and have always received the same type of professional service. Kathy(?), the mammo tech at Sun City West is professional, caring, respectful of her patients. Her quality of care for her patients is above and beyond. Never once have I been in pain because the paddles were too tight on my breasts. The front desk staff does a thorough job of checking patients in. They too are professional and respectful of patients.

So why didn't the person who scheduled my appointment tell me this? And why didn't the receptionist tell me this? I cannot recommend this location. I've had excellent service at different Simon Meds. This one, they don't seem very empathetic nor compassionate. I'm now listening to the receptionist be equally dispassionate toward another patient. Not impressed.

They claimed to…read morehave verified it with insurance while I was there, which cannot be true since insurance told me that I didn't have a copay. If I refused to pay, they could refuse to see me. I paid. After it went through insurance and the service was paid in full by the insurance company, SimonMed did not tell me I had a credit. My husband had the same encounter, but instead of providing a refund or telling us he had a credit balance, they claim to have applied it to another visit even though we paid for that visit as well. I wouldn't go there unless you have money to burn and can wait for refunds to process.

When I arrived at SimonMed, the front desk and reception staff were absolutely wonderful. Kind, professional, and doing their best despite the facility running about 20 minutes behind schedule. Unfortunately, my experience took a sharp turn once I was taken back for imaging. The technician, Monica, informed me she was only going to perform a mammogram and stated there was "no need" for the ultrasound that my doctor had specifically ordered. While I do not have a medical background, I strongly believe a technician should not override or deny imaging ordered by a physician. When I explained that the ultrasound was likely ordered due to my medical history, she stated she would not complete it without prior pathology reports (something I was never informed ahead of time that I needed to bring). I asked if she could contact my primary care provider directly, and her response was that it was "too messy" and that I could call instead. I found the response to be shocking and incredibly unprofessional, and chose to contact my doctor to request the report. I also explained that I would be leaving the country for an extended period and needed to complete everything my doctor ordered during this visit. Only after I continued to advocate for myself did she finally complete both the mammogram and the ultrasound as originally prescribed. I want to be very clear: the ultrasound experience and the reception staff were phenomenal, compassionate, and professional. However, the mammogram portion, specifically the interaction with this technician, was stressful, dismissive, and completely avoidable. Because of this interaction, I do not feel comfortable returning to this facility, despite how outstanding the rest of the staff was. Patients should never have to fight for care that has already been deemed necessary by their physician... especially when dealing with something as serious and personal as breast health.
