The class was affordable, short, concise, no fluff and straight to the point. Great experience!

For an A H A CPR recertification - if you are already experienced and have practiced all techniques…read morein a full 3-4 hour CPR class, then this will suffice. It was a super quick 2-hour course and the video and demonstrations were solid; however, the actual hands-on practice was very limited. We did not get our own CPR body to work with, just shared one, and we couldn't blow into the masks. Did not practice at all on infants, but did observe the instructor do the CPR and choking techniques on an infant doll. If you want to learn CPR for the first time, this is not going to meet your needs. But I just took the 3-4 hour Red Cross CPR training a few months ago so I feel like this is all I needed to get the AHA card, required for my new agency that prefers AHA. I bought the book when I registered because I thought it was required to buy a copy. I don't think you need to buy it. Definitely don't buy any of the odd "Take the Test Multiple Times" upgrade, so fishy. The teacher was good, friendly, efficient. He worked around a participant bringing a very active preschooler to class. Patient man, for sure. Bring a hoodie to class as the air conditioner is cold. Nice building, clean and secure. I got free street parking so that was a bonus.

I came to Illinois Safety CPR to obtain a Basic Life Support CPR AED certification because my job…read morerequired it, and not my current American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification. Its location was within an acceptable driving distance from the west-side of Chicago which is why I chose it. And also its location is an area I am familiar with. ISCPR offers Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support, as well as American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED classes. Registering for the class was a simple process. After clicking on the class I needed, a drop down menu appeared with a thirty day span of dates to choose from. And finally, after clicking on my preferred date it took me to the registration page for that particular class. Located within a traffic circle, the easiest way to identify ISCPR is to look out for restaurants Eggsperience Breakfast & Lunch, and Circle Tavern which ISCPR sits in-between. Now as for the class. Due to coronavirus, there were things that we did not do during this course, as well as things we did such as wearing gloves while touching the dummies, and utilizing a Ambu bag instead of doing mouth to mouth. The presentation itself which majority of it was on video was easy to follow and the instructor, Michael was very insightful and welcoming throughout it. I am glad I chose to attend Illinois Safety CPR to obtain my BLS certification. I highly recommend if you are pursuing any of the CPR certifications mentioned. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Be sure to complete the whole on-line portion in advance, and take a screen shot or bring a print out of your completion certificate to the in-person training. And come on time! I see a Yelp of 1-star from someone who arrived 12 minutes late. You will get so many texts and emails in advance telling you to 100% be on-time or you will not be permitted to participate in the in-person training and you will not get a refund. This was relayed to me very clearly, several times. No problem with that policy at all, and I am sorry that the couple who were late were not permitted to take the class, but I totally understand. We started right on time and there was a ton of material presented in the first 12 minutes, so if someone came late, I would not have appreciated having to start over. So I am glad Falcon has that policy and would encourage them to stick with it. Our instructor, Nadia, was one of the best CPR instructors I've ever had. I have been in healthcare 30 years, so have taken a BLS course about 15 times, and she made it so easy for everyone, time just flew. We really did use nearly the whole 3 hours and she packed in a ton of great information, then offered an additional free 15-minute bonus class about Naloxone. Nadia is a great presenter. She invited and fielded all the questions, gave options for positioning, and had us practice each skill until we were able to demonstrate it fully and correctly. I really liked the addition of the adult-size choking practice vests that come with an inflated bladder in front so the person performing the maneuver can really feel how much force is needed to dislodge the item causing the choking. That was new for me, and I thought it was a nice addition to the class. Only suggestion is to move this class to a location that doesn't require stairs. I can navigate stairs well now, but not always. And someone like my mother, or anyone in a wheelchair, wouldn't be able to get up and down the stairs required for the class (in basement) or up to the bathroom and back down (second floor). I didn't see an elevator, but maybe there is one that I didn't see, but I looked for one.

We had a great experience Falcon CPR!! I would highly recommend them for all your CPR training!read more
