Kenny fixed all of the bugs and my wife and I are finally getting to enjoy it. And trusting it. Which is huge. Kenny charged me a fair price but he didn't cost me any money, he saved it by making my car something I'd never sell. He's an honest man who does great work.

Best to Avoid this one!…read more Uneven craftsmanship: The engine bay was done very well, but he really screwed up the hood. He did originally identify that my car had a serious safety issue with the cheap fiberglass hood not having a proper hood latch, it was held down by only the two hood pins. He said he would install a proper hood latch, but it turned out the cheap fiberglass hood had nowhere to bolt a hood latch to. Not his fault, that was how the car was the first time he saw it. Somehow, that morphed into replacing the factory hood hinges with fancy billet gas shock hinges that made the problem even worse. After billing me 80 hours to line up the hood and fenders, the fitment was just awful. And without a proper hood latch, the hood was still at serious risk of popping open and flying up while driving. The back of the hood was at least an inch too high on one side and even worse on the other side, and the gas shocks bent the fiberglass hood out of shape. Unsafe and unsightly. He blamed the car having some weird problem with the cowl being too high. The actual cause was the expensive billet/gas shock hinges he installed just don't fit the car, and he stubbornly kept tinkering rather than fix the actual problem. I have it in another shop now, and with stock hinges everything fits and lines up. The car now has a much better hood and the safe hood latch that he should have insisted upon. Tinkering with cool billet gas shock hinges and leaving the hood at serious risk of flying up in your face at highway speeds seems like poor priorities to me. After all that, there was no problem with the cowl. I have a much longer list of complaints, but keeping the review short. After 8 years and $120k spent against the $35k estimate, I finally got my car back. Unfinished. According to a former partner of his, he lowballs estimates on purpose. He also doesn't pick up the phone very often or return calls or return texts or emails. It's unfortunate. He has a deep knowledge of these cars, but that is just not enough.
