After "supposed installation" of dishwasher they left without it working after we paid over $1,000 to include installation. In return they charged another $150. They are not trustworthy nor customer oriented -owner was involved in installation. Find someone else to do business with. read more

We went to Browns because my father buys from them. We bought a speed Queen washer which wasn't cheap and was told delivery in the morning. We were happy when we left the store. Fast forward to the delivery day and I receive a vm saying it will be in the afternoon, I call the store and she says he shouldn't of told you the morning, our deliveries go by area... ok, so I reluctantly agree to stay with the afternoon being told around 12. No 12, so I call and the lady is not service oriented and now I'm not either! I finally get her to call driver... be there before 3:00... nope!! I call back and she's worse than before so now I am too!! I finally canceled my order and went to Scalamos where I got a better price, delivered today earlier than they said and the delivery guys were professional! They now get my business! read more

Getting really annoyed that I have now purchased two high end dishwashers at Brown's. The first one (LG) we had for less than 2 years and it never cleaned well. We gave it away for free and purchased a $900 Bosch. While it does clean okay some of the features don't work. After waiting 10 days for a tech to come out he still didn't fix the problem. Today I called and have to wait another 7 days. I am trying to be patient and do want to support a small local business but this is getting old. read more

I just saw an advertisement on TV to go local which is what I did my parents used browns for 50 years but when I bought my dryer I got no personalize service at the store or when it was delivered the only time I got help was when I needed a repair and the repairman and fix some thing while he was waiting and the girl in the office said she was going to send me a bill for $100 because that's what the charge would've been to flip a door on my dryer well they didn't ask the delivery guys never asked so it was nice to see my repair man offered to fix it so the girl in the office needs to find another job because after 50 years of my parents doing business there I'll never walk in the door again read more

And when the day arrived, everything was delivered and installed quickly, professionally and with a smile. Contacted Browns tor the first time to fix our refrigerator. Able to get an appointment the same day. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The tech was very nice, explained everything and answered all our questions. The $89.00 to come is also credited to whatever the end cost is, which is very unusual. Dryer stopped working after two months. Tech said he didn't have the part and would come back the next day. No calls from them so I called and they said four days it will come in. Brown's appliance was recommended by a family member. Being from Worcester, I didn't know if they would cost more delivering and servicing in Worcester. But we needed a dishwasher Asap so I thought I'd give it a try. Admitted I didn't do my due diligence. Usually I do some research and check consumer reports prior to purchasing a big ticket item. I said this to them and they pulled a consumer reports buying guide right out of their display case. Sales staff was honest and upfront. They informed me if my options. Unfortunately my dishwasher was on back order, but they kept me posted every step of the way. Purchased on a Saturday, installed by the following Monday. Installer, Chris, was great. Paid excellent attention to detail, called before arrival, cleaned up area well and gave necessary instruction and helpful advice. Reasonable price, delivery and service to Worcester didn't cost any extra. All staff was courteous and informative. Would definitely shop there again for appliances. read more

I started a project to remodel my kitchen back in January and replaced all of my kitchen appliances. Everyone told me to go to Hudson Appliance for the best deals, but I preferred to stay local and go for excellent service. I don't know a lot about the service from Hudson Appliance but I am familiar with the quality service that I get from Brown's TV & Appliance. Not only did Brown's TV & Appliance beat the quote I received from Hudson Appliance, but they also provided the exceptional service I had come to expect. Eddy was so helpful in ordering the appliances I wanted and identifying all the rebates I qualified for. Brown's stored my appliances for almost 2 months until my kitchen was ready to have them delivered and installed. Eddy and Chris were very helpful with a couple of installation challenges. We had been searching for 2 days to replace a dishwasher that went. We specifically were looking for black with stainless tub. No one carries them in stock anymore and we needed one that day Sunday. We had resigned ourselves to purchase one from Sears Outlet that was Black and was on the way there when we just happened to pass Browns. Decided why not try once more. There was one there in the showroom but again as we found elsewhere not in stock. We explained our situation. Chris offered to sell the display. We were pleased. Great friendly staff we can highly recommend Brown's TV & Appliance for Great Consistent and Timely Service and anyone looking to purchase TV or Appliances or have a TV mounted or service in Northborough, Westborough, Marlborough, Shrewsbury . The Installers showed us exactly how to make adjustments to the bracket ourselves and was extremely friendly and conversational. Didn't notice unless 6 days after buying that the outer surface of our dishwasher door had loads of tiny pitted rust spots. They replaced the whole machine the same day I complained! Just purchased our second appliance in two years from Browns. First, an electric range and today a refrigerator. Found lower price at big box stores. However, they charge delivery fees, installation fees and removal fees. Not so with Browns. Their price includes all of the above. Same appliance which in the end costs less. Out of desperation I had Brown's come to fix my 4 year old Samsung refrigerator, as they were the only company around that said they could repair Samsung appliances. They said I needed a fan kit and promised to come back when the parts were received within 1-2 weeks. Week after week went by, and I heard nothing from them unless I checked in with them to find out the status of my parts. Finally after 6 weeks of Browns refusing to call their supplier to find out the story about a "backordered" part, we ended up just buying a new refrigerator. They have still not called me back, and I would probably wait forever. Totally unprofessional! read more

I purchased an LG front load washer in August that was defective from Day 1. Under defective rules, purchaser is allowed a choice of a return, a refund or replacement. Brown's will not accept a return unless a 20% restocking fee applies. LG would not replace, claimed that service Brown's sent was not authorized to perform LG repairs, sent out their own who would not touch the machine unless I signed an agreement certifying I would pay for service call as this seemed like consumer education which it was not. I received a bill for $138 which Brown's has not resolved. Then,B rown's again assured original service was authorized who came, then claimed an unbelievable number of defects in washer's operation. Software ordered which did not come for some time. Brown's will not accept anything other than repair, nor will LG. I am left with a defective washer. As of today, 12/27/2014 Brown's will not allow a return unless a 20% restocking fee is paid them. I was not made aware of that and never signed anything to that effect. read more
