I have been getting a spray tan from Alix on and off over the last 2 years. My first tan was a little darker/oranger than I expected - the next time I went in, we adjusted the color to medium light and I left it on for only 8 hours, huge improvement! Now when I get a spray tan I feel 100% confident that I have a nice, even colored tan, I don't look orange and people think I have just returned from vacation. The best part for me is that Alix makes me feel completely comfortable - I'm pretty shy and not comfortable being naked in front of a stranger, but she's completely professional! Honestly, one of the worst sprays I've ever had - and trust me I've had a ton! Splotchy and - the worst kind of streaky - all over. Came here based on fabulous reviews and I am appalled. I was happy to pay their prices based on the assumed "quality" of service and I've never been so disappointed in a spray. I have a wedding tomorrow and I honestly look like a leper. Not only that but my spayer made me feel so awkward and uncomfortable. For a $60 spray (including tip) with a 20 min (despite having an apt), this was a horrendous experience. Not okay. It's a really great place! Easy to find, parking is provided, appointment was easy to schedule, service was great and color was just perfect for my fair skin and the beginning of my honeymoon in Hawaii. A girl who did my spray tan also repaired it, yes- repaired it... without a word of complaint or any comment... After 10 min from leaving a salon I spilt a coffee on my chin& chest - we had a rapid braking situation while driving back home. So thank you once again! I would not recommend this place for a spray tan. It was the most expensive spray tan I have ever gotten and one of, if not the worst. I showed up right on time, with another person waiting. Five/ten minutes after my scheduled appointment we find out we were double booked and the lady was having trouble with her spray gun, so she was running behind. I had somewhere to be and asked if I could come back in the morning. She said the girl ahead of me would not take long, so I decided to stay. The lady seemed frazzled and I wanted her to do a good job and take her time so I tried to ensure her I was not in a rush. While I was waiting in the lobby, there were three more people that walked in with appointments. Once I was able to get into a room, she sprayed me but still seemed frazzled with the appointments in the lobby and her spray gun and it felt rushed the entire appointment. I did put lotion on before, which I spaced you are not supposed to do, but she said the solution was running also because of her gun. She did her best to rub in the tan with her brush, but she was so backed up it felt like she didn't have time to actually make sure it was evenly applied. I could see spray lines while walking to my car. I followed all instructions she gave me and in less than 24 hours the tan is basically gone in some parts, but I look really dirty in others. I attached a picture of my foot for an example. I would have much rather her let me come back the next day so she didn't have to rush. I understand stuff happens, but I would much rather be super white than pay money to look like I do. read more

I'm in favor of spray tan for sure but I was not impressed with this location. The gal that performed the spray tan was great but the two gals running the reception area were not very friendly or helpful. We got to our appointment 15 minutes early but they failed to mention they were running behind by 45 minutes. The gals at the front desk were more focused on organizing, sorting paperwork, talking and filing than their many guests waiting a long time for their service. They also didn't provide any information about the service, what to expect, etc which would have been helpful for my first visit (since I ended up with some spotting and streaking in areas). The tan came out great and I would rate it 8 out of 10. If they were more friendly I would have given them 3 or 4 stars. read more

I scheduled an appointment here nearly 3 weeks before my wedding weekend. I was given my appointment time and verified the address. Well, showing up for my slotted appointment right on time - no one was there. I called and left a message but pretty quickly moved on as I did not have time for waiting around hence making the appointment in advance. I saw some terrible reviews on Google about this place as I was standing there in front of the store and noted GLOW recommended down the way and was so glad to get in last second with them!! This might be the greatest spray tan around, however, I wouldn't know considering the fact that I waited over an hour for them to help me and after they took someone who had an appointment that was later than mine, I just left. If you are going to take appointments, I feel like your customers should not have to wait an hour to be served. The place was well decorated but it was basically chaos when I arrived. They did not ask for my name, or when I had my appointment. There was no one to talk to as all of the people working there were tanning. I needed a last minute spray tan for a wedding a few weeks back and decided to stop into Sinless sun due to their yelp special and decent reviews. The place is eco friendly and the place is well decorated I was very put off by the attitude the receptionist/tanner gave me when I walked in. She was less than helpful when explaining prices, wait and 'how this all works' and snubbed me when I asked if they provided any 'toss away panties'. She told me the toss away panties were not 'green' friendly... however I'm sure the hydrocarbans used to spray the bronzer all over your body certainly are... Anyways... I would have been satisfied with this place if my tan had stayed on or didn't streak... however within 48 hours I looked like an overriped, stripped orange. After trying a few places, LOVE Sinless Sun!! I've been going there ever since for events, parties, and my wedding which was in May. I love that they don't use anything toxic - that is much more important to me than the tan lasting for 2 weeks. My tans usually last about a week. Sometimes I go darker than others depending on the time of year, and what the event is. The day I tan it looks pretty funny, but that's what happens anywhere. The two days following its at its prime, and then it slowly fades the remainder of the week. I've tanned somewhere that costed a little bit less, but I find it isn't worth the savings. I get a much better tan here. I noticed some less than great reviews about the staff - honestly I haven't noticed any snootiness. Prior to visiting Sinless Sun, I had only tried a spray tan machine, which was a horrible experience. I needed a tan for an event taking place within a few hours. I called around a few places that offered organic/natural service, but nobody answered when I called so I booked an appointment elsewhere. However, right after that, Emily called me back from Sinless Sun. She was so helpful with all my questions that I wound up canceling the other appointment and scheduling with her. I am glad I did. I've been going to Sinless Sun for a couple of years and I won't go anywhere else. I am finally writing a review because I saw some not-so-friendly reviews up recently. I think the spray-tanner always gets blamed for a bad tan when it necessarily isn't their fault. The tan reacts to everyone differently. If you have soap residue or left over shaving-cream on , it can cause streaking. If you leave it on too long it can get too dark or orange. Give these girls a break! They work hard and they want you to look good. Maybe you should listen more carefully and follow directions! I recommend calling or checking out their website on how to prep yourself for the best spray-tan ever. read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review on a business. I am an eternally nice and polite person and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt (maybe they had a bad day, etc). However, after what happened today I was so appalled that I needed to write a review. So...I had never had a spray tan before, and decided to give it a try. I chose Sinless Sun because I am a believer in the idea that you get what you pay for, and they are fairly pricey. My first tan was great. Went again a few days ago and they completely botched it - I was orange, streaky and blotchy. I called and explained the situation to the owner, and made it a point to be extra nice and understanding (which after paying $47 for a tan, including tip, most people would probably not have done that). She seemed very nice over the phone. She said to come back in and she would fix it today. I showed up today, met with the owner and chatted a little about my concerns. I explained to her that it was a mystery considering my first tan (with a different technician) was great that this one was so terrible and I didn't do anything differently on my end. For starters, she made me sit there and wait while she made a phone call. I was a little taken aback by this. I know if I owned a business and a customer was not happy, I probably would be a little more attentive. Then, as we began to explore what could have caused this she proceeded to tell me everything that I probably did wrong. Again, mind you I did everything the same the first time and tan was great! As a scientist (and a person with common sense) I know there is another variable at play. I took her advice anyway and purchased $23 worth of exfoliant, gloves, etc. I kept trying to crack jokes to make the situation a little more light-hearted (she had a very tense energy about her) and every single time she looked at me like a bad kid in a kindergarden classroom or something. It was VERY uncomfortable. As I was checking out at the register she again begins to inform me that "I'm going to go ahead and give you a complementary tan, but I know this was caused by something you did". She says this AS I'm not only an unsatisfied customer, but also wasting more and more time to stop by without a fix and then have to come back AGAIN to redo the tan AND spending another $23 at her business!! I was appalled. That is not how an owner speaks to a customer, especially when one of your employees screws up that bad. I mean, not to digress, but she even sprayed my HEELS with the tanning solution. Everyone knows not to spray your heels and ankles bc it turns out looking terrible. Anyway, when she said this I simply and calmly replied, "Well, that's neither here nor there. We really just need to fix this because I have an important event this weekend and I don't want to be striped. Besides, I did nothing different between these two appointments and I'm sure my skin hasn't changed that much in less than 2 weeks." She snarled at me and ROLLED HER EYES. I am supposed to go back tomorrow, but after leaving there the energy was so negative that I don't even want to go back. Yes, even though that means me spending ANOTHER $40 at another business. Mistakes I can forgive as nobody and no business is perfect. But as a business owner it's what you do when you (or one of your employees) makes a mistake that shows the integrity and quality of your business. read more

Went here twice because I didn't really know of anywhere else in Denver at the time. It's never been a great experience, staff didn't really make you feel comfortable, they were sort of awkward and a bit stuck up. The tan was definitely over priced and not perfect. The salon appearance is nice and definitely upscale. But overall that would not make me go back to a place where they aren't very welcoming. Sort of felt like they were just there to take the money and run, get you in get you out and on to the next appointment. I know there are a lot of good reviews about Sinless Sun out there and that is great. I can only say I wish my experience was just as great as theirs. I went to Sinless Sun two days prior to a wedding I was in for my best friend. The day of my appointment I was scheduled with Stephanie which apparently turned out to be a big mistake. I told her directly that I wanted to be tan but not "jersey shore tan". The appointment itself went fine and when I went home I followed ALL directions given to me. The day before my tan (the day of the rehearsal, dinner etc) I noticed that I was WAY TOO dark even after I had showered! I also noticed dark splotches on my upper arms, legs, and chest and my hands and palms were dark orange and very uneven. When I called I was told that they had received several complaints about Stephanie so it was no surprise to them. Wow that's nice. I wish I would have been told that before I let her tan me before a very important wedding!!!! Needless to say they had me come in, however, they did not fix my problems but told me oh well and to try some things at home. Now it is a few weeks later and my body is now spotted brown, orange and white ALL OVER! I was told it would last about a week and would come off evenly! This is not the case! My arms and legs look like i have a skin disease and I am too embarrassed to even wear a short sleeved shirt or shorts. All in all, this was an awful experience for me! I understand that spray tan affects everyone differently, but if there were multiple complaints made about Stephanie why is she still employed there!?! If I made several mistakes in my line of work I would be fired, so why is it not the same for the tanning industry? read more

I have received two spray tans at Sinless. Both came out really great. But the product is only one part of the customer experience. The other part which is equally important is how well one is treated as a customer. This is the reason for the 2 star only rating. I sat in the reception area, unacknowledged by the staff, sitting 4 feet away, for quite some time. No one looked up or even greeted me. I was ignored. When they finally noticed me, I received a rather gruff, disinterested hello. They have their priorities mixed up. Apparently paperwork, and the computer are more compelling than a live "paying" customer waiting to be served. This happened both times I came in for a tan, each almost one year a part. If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy staff with sophistication and manners, this is NOT the place for you. read more

I went to this place Thursday night for a Halloween party Saturday night. First of all I recommend it because it's very affordable ~$43 for a full body tan. Went with an 8, and I would recommend that or darker if you're fairly tan from summer. They're very professional, their stuff works well, no streaks. No orange tint, looked really natural, and HOT!
