Thuy did an amazing job on a wedding glow for me! I look natural but bronzed in all of my photos for the rehearsal and wedding itself, and felt like a million bucks. I didn't lose my tan on anything and only had one area of unevenness on my ankles. This place was recommended to me by my acupuncturist who used to be located next door. I had been looking for a place to get a spray tan because that skin cancer tho....I made an appointment request online and their owner got back to me quickly to confirm my appointment. I was in! I gave myself a little extra time before my first visit because parking can be a little tricky in this part of town. I was greeted at the door by the owner, one of her employees and an "apprentice". The place is eclectic and cool, offering all kinds of trinkets from air plants and mermaid blankets to poo-pourri and tarot cards. I sat on the big round couch with Cosmo (the cutest little pup) and chatted with the owner about her quickly approaching due date (she was pregnant). The team took great care of me, made me feel super comfortable and I loved the results of my tan. I bought a 3-pack and have now been twice. Thuy did an incredible job with whitening my teeth. I thought I would do 3x but my teeth were sensitive after 2x so she made the call to stop there and I was thankful for that. I got two sessions of teeth whitening two days ago. I was worried that i would experience pain like i did with my last Brite Smile whitening 15 yrs ago. But there was no sensitivity or shooting pain in my teeth during or after my session! And my teeth are noticeabley whiter! I feel more confident smiling on my zoom calls now! The tan itself was good but it was very rushed through. if you feel uncomfortable in the slightest or if it's your first time I do not recommend this tanning salon. The woman made me feel super uncomfortable The whole experience was very awkward and I am an extrovert it is VERY difficult to make me uncomfortable lol. she gave me a free "energy clearing" sound thing before I walked out to promote her side business. Best spray tan in Denver. No comparison. I have tried several other places, which were much more expensive, and this airbrush tan surpassed them all. It looks completely natural, even toned, and beautifully bronze. Not orange at all. My friends thought I had just returned from the beach. Bronzed just looks better. A few years ago, I traded in my tanning bed affinity for the far healthier (and way more instantaneous) glow of spray tanning. The trade did not come without my fair share of unfortunate events--the least of which was a ridiculous orange glow from head to toe on a few occasions! You don't have to worry about that with So You! The owner, Thuy, is a master at picking the perfect shade of bronze and applying it with expert precision. She is also extremely talented at contouring (you can have "abs" in 30 seconds) and the end result is always stellar! Thuy is not only talented but also extremely professional. It can be a bit of a daunting task to disrobe in front of a stranger. She puts you right at ease and makes the whole process fun. The best part is she does house calls! Well, I thought I would write this review for two reasons. 1) To give my thanks to Thuy, and 2) to soothe other anxiety riddled people like myself. To start, this experience was great! I was anxious all week trying to figure out if I wanted to tan in the buff; what and when and how to exfoliate; should I moisturize the night before?; when should I wash my hair? You get the picture In the end, I ended up tanning in the buff and thanks to Thuy actually felt pretty comfortable about it. I am a super pale person so I think I achieved a pretty reasonable glow today and got what I wanted out of the visit. Although, I am about to head to Vegas so I feel like I could be slightly bronzer-- probably not even possible with my paleness. Ok, here comes the crushing anxiety part. Before my visit I researched everything, literally everything, about spray tan. Naturally I woke up in the morning convinced I would turn out green or something. SO, after a long day of trying to sit super still, drinking out of straws, and trying not to sweat, I of course fell asleep.. with my hand on my chest. PANIC. Amusingly, Thuy had warned me not to do this very thing (and upon hearing it I was like, yup, sounds like something I would do). So I now had this huge patch of missing tan (about 4 hours into the process) and a bronze palm. REST ASSURED fellow worriers-- after a shower the patch isn't visible and my palms are delightfully not bronze anymore. Crisis averted. Overall, really even tan, great consult, felt comfortable, and will definitely return for special events in the future :) read more
