    Short Stack French Toast

Sip & Bite is a classic Baltimore gem that lives up to the hype! Conveniently located right off Boston Street, it's easy to find with plenty of street parking nearby. We walked in on a slightly rainy Saturday and were seated right away--no reservation needed, which is always a plus. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart--so warm and attentive, but unfortunately I can't remember her name. I went with the French toast breakfast with cheddar eggs and bacon, and everything was cooked to perfection--comfort food at its finest. My BF ordered the strawberry pancakes, bacon, and grits. The pancakes were fluffy and topped with whipped cream that tasted wonderfully homemade. The grits were a bit too loose for my taste (I'm a thick-grits girl), but they were creamy and would definitely appeal to anyone who prefers a smoother texture. What I love most is how centrally located Sip & Bite is. After breakfast, you can stroll to Canton Square for a drink or do what we did and head to Canton Waterfront Park to relax by the water. It's an easy stop to build a whole chill day around. The menu is super expansive, and we noticed they've even been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives--and honestly, it tracks. The food is satisfying, the atmosphere is no-frills but welcoming, and the quality speaks for itself. A definite go-to for a hearty breakfast in the city. Breakfast was definitely 5/5 but because of the divey-diner ambiance I'm gonna say 4/5 overall.

The cutest neighbor dinner w/ great service and good eats. I've only ever been here breakfast , and the experience did not disappoint . The French toast was by far my favorite . It was made with love ! The eggs were okay along with the turkey sausage and bacon . I definitely would recommend . The place is small but lively with plenty of street parking available . I plan to comeback and try the Guy Fieri's crab cake on the next visit.

Arrived in Baltimore city for a family wedding weekend looking for a nice place to grab lunch near our Airbnb. Sip & Bite worked just perfect for us. Fareedah provided us with attentive service and a smile! The chef/cook behind the counter wanted to make sure my sister liked her burger or he was willing to cook her a new one. I had a fish sandwich which hit the spot... it included grilled onions, which were yummy. The onion rings were very light and delicious bite to bite! The place is really small, but if you get a table, you'll get good hot food at a reasonable price.

I'm in love!!! I'm back in Baltimore and had to make a pit stop to try Guy's Favorite Crab-cake at Sip & Bite. I enjoyed every bite so much I could've licked the plate. The Chesapeake Benedict was a thing of beauty. I had a hard time cutting into it because it was plated so beautifully. 2 poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce that sat on two crab cakes on an English muffin! Best crab cake I've ever had. Guy Fieri was on the money with this review and I thank him for the recommendation! The waitress was friendly and the food came out fast! I love the old school feel of the diner. The place was clean and all the plates that came out looked delicious. I'll be back!

Sip & Bite is a key historical establishment of the food scene in Baltimore. When you enter, you are receiving top notch customer service and that good, cozy Baltimorean hon love. Today I got the Hippe omelet and it was soooo delicious! I also got a side order of veggie sausage, it hit the spot well! I highly recommend anyone visiting Baltimore to visit this fine historical establishment

Food was amazing. I've been 3 times in the last month. I have not had any complaints with any of my meals. I've tried the pancakes, waffles and French toast, can't tell you what's the best. Lemonade is good, service is good. Never a long wait. The building just looks like a simple diner, when you come in if there is an empty seat you just take it. Will be going back at least once a month if I can

Wow wow WOW is all I can say about Sip and Bite. Literally every time I come here, it's always so good, so full of flavor, and literally made with love. This will always be my favorite diner to go to. I've never had a single issue with this establishment. My service is always good, and it's so warming to get the same waitress every time. I forget her name at this moment, but I remember she has locs. She's so lovely and personable, I just know I'll be taken care of whenever I come. The establishment is admittedly a little on the smaller side, but it just adds to the charm in my opinion. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food, especially the Stuffed French Toast. Oh good Lord it was not even overly sweet, everything like popped in my mouth, it was indescribably good in my opinion. Down to even the whipped cream. I can also understand why Guy Fiery loves and stands by the Crab Cakes here. The Cheseapeake Benedict was oh so amazing, flavorful, cooked to perfection. Some of the best crab cakes I've ever had. The cheese grits were also 10/10 most delicious and creamy. I've had Lavender lemonade before, and this one here was also very tasty. I can't wait to come back to try more!

I've had this place on my list of places to try for some time now and today gave me the chance to finally make it happen. I placed my order through Yelp and headed over. When I walked in, I really liked the old school vibe of the place. Feels like you went back in time. I was greeted by a nice guy who immediately asked if I was picking up an order. He grabbed the bag for me and I was on my way. I ordered the Cinna-Bomb Pancakes and The Mediterranean Omelette. Everything was delicious! Both had amazing flavor. I'll definitely be back to try some more things on the menu.

Chesapeake eggs Benedict with legendary crab cakes

In the altered words of Guy Fieri, these crabcakes are GANGSTER. I'm giving a 4/5 because the service was very quick and kind. The crabcakes were huge and flavorful. They tasted fresh and they had a nice crisp to them. The Chesapeake Benedict with crab cakes is the way to go here. Big bang for your buck. The home fries were okay, but better than many other diners I've been to. Overall, great spot.

Never had a bad experience at a diner and that remains true for Sip & Bite as well. This was my first there and I really liked how they had a large menu. Apparently, Guy Fieri's favorite crab cake is here. I tried the crab balls, and even though they were good, I've had better crab cakes/balls. I also wish the crab balls were a little less crispy. I really enjoyed to the cream of crab soup and the blueberry lemonade. Our waitress was also really nice and gave us recommendations and insights.

I have done carryout before and it was great good. We went in on a Wednesday. The service was stellar. I'm sorry I don't remember her name but the server we had was a delightful person. She was so happy and attentive! Real Baltimore charm there! The food didn't disappoint either. We got Chesapeake eggs Benny and the eggs with spanakopita. All perfect! The hot sauce was on point too. The place was clean, quick, and a true diner feel. Give it a try you will not be disappointed!

We had an earlier dinner reservation so it wasn't as crowded at the beginning but was quite busy at the end. We tried a couple different cocktails and I loved both of mine - Ashta Affair and Asfar So Good. The Ashta Affair was sweet and creamy and the Asfar So Good was deliciously refreshing. My friend really enjoyed his Old Fashioned Date and had a fun experience trying the El Massaya Arak. For appetizers, we ordered Muhamara and Mousakhan Chicken Rolls. The Muhamara came with pita and was such a great dip. The chicken rolls were equally as good with their own sumac labneh dip we enjoyed. For entrees, we shared the Braised Lamb Shank and Makloubeh. The portions were large and the meat was tender. Neither were over seasoned and were absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all and saved the rest for leftovers - yum! We wanted to try their dessert and ending up getting the Ashta Bil Asal and Ruz Bil Karaz. The Ashta Bil Asal had cotton candy which made it a fun dessert to try and the Ruz Bil Karaz had a great caramelization coating. Neither were overly sweet which we preferred. It was such a great ending to our meal. I absolutely loved my experience here. Our server, Miriam, was friendly and attentive. We even chatted with the GM, Iman, who also made sure we were provided a great first experience. I cannot recommend this place enough for anyone who's looking for a boujee but amazing time!

The lentil soup was super comforting too. For dessert, we got the raspberry sorbet and baklava--perfect way to end the meal. The sorbet was light and refreshing, and the baklava was sweet and flaky. Service was great. Our server made sure we enjoyed our meal and was available to explain the menu options and checking on time to time if we need anything. Overall, a great experience. One is more of an expected dining room, and the other is a table space near the bar. We were seated in the latter section. I will say this was my only minor complaint. It seems like they want to be an upscale dining experience, but the presence of TVs playing sports is killing the vibe. However, the service and food by far compensated for that. Carolyn (I believe was her name) was our server, and she was just fantastic. She was pleasant and attentive. My daughter and I split four of the mezzedes, and I ordered the mushroom soup and she ordered a side of lemon potatoes. My favorite dish was the wood-fired olives. Simple, but so very good. She loved the halloumi so much, we got a second order (it is a super small serving). The spanikopita, on the other hand, was quite large and meant for sharing. My experience was very underwhelming. The positives: I liked that there is a parking lot across the street specifically for the restaurant because street parking is very limited. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was nice and tried her best to be attentive even though the kitchen was so backed up and moving at a snails pace. The pita bread was delicious. The desserts were great. My favorites were the baklava and loukoumades. Really the only dessert I didn't care for was the chocolate rum and roses cake because I'm not a big rose fan because it has the tendency of overpowering the other flavors in certain treats. The negatives: The kitchen was very slow at getting things out, even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Aside from the desserts, I didn't care for the food. The biggest issue was everything was lukewarm by the time we received it at our table. The hummus was just ok. The bread was great alone. The Greek village salad had way more feta than anything else and needed more oil and vinegar. The spanakopita was ok but some batches came out burnt but they were never hot. The Cyprus meatballs were so burnt that we couldn't even eat them. The lamb and beef dip was too salty. The stuffed grapes leaves were just ok. The macaronia tou fournou had the potential to be really good but it was not warm enough. I want to believe it was just a bad night and maybe their food is better outside of restaurant week but I'm afraid to try again and be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.

I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

We learned that he was the owner when our waitress gave us rice pudding from Rudy. We didn't complain and that pudding almost earned the star back. UNTIL my husband stopped at a room heater that was positioned away from our table. Ugh

As someone who just came back from Greece, this is about as delicious as you could get. Sure, some…read moreof the dishes are Americanized, but the food and ambiance feels straight out of a restaurant that you could get over there. Just like with Greece, the portions are incredibly generous. You get food, on top of food, on top of food, and then you are full, and then you get some more! It also helps the food tastes super fresh and is worth every penny. Get yourself plenty because it makes the experience even better. They also have a bakery in the front that also offers tasty options in addition to some local favorites. Their baklava is like the size of a small cake! It is definitely worth taking a piece or two home with you. I am happy I stopped here and look forward to eating here again.

It also included a salad. With two entrees one being the Spitroast Lamb, the other was the Lavraki (Branzino) filet fish. This was my favorite!! Seasoned perfectly with the lemon oil and capers. It also included two desserts. There was a wine sample that went with every meal. So a total of seven different wines. All pretty much on the dry side. With the exception of the wine that went with the desserts. It was called Paleokairiso,2023. That had a slight sweetness to it. I'm actually a semi sweet wine person. So everything paired well with the meals. I would have to pass on all dry wines but I'm always open to the possibilities. This was an enjoyable experience. We don't live in Baltimore but if you live or work nearby. I highly recommend checking them out. Parking was about a block away. For twenty five cents an hour. Also metered street parking available if you can find it. We would not hesitate to attend another event here. It was definitely worth it.
