Linda at sip wine bar provided horrendous customer service. We were informed via text that our order was cancelled, Linda called us asking when we were going to be picking up our order(rudely). When we arrived they were closed, I knocked on the door only for her to make eye contact with me, then completely ignore me like I wasn't even there(she called me 3 minutes earlier rushing me to pick up my order) I then knocked faster and harder until she had no choice but to come to the door. When I told her I was the customer she just called to pick up their order, she sighed and ran to the back without saying a word, handed me my bag, closed the door and locked it behind me. This is such a cute place. And a self serve wine bar is such a good idea! You put your card on file. They give you a key fob, you wave it in front and press for your selection. You can get 1, 3, or 5 oz. The price is adjusted accordingly, so it's very affordable, and you can taste a wide variety. We also had some light bites. I would definitely come back, for a date, sister outing, gf drinks, it's great for all. read more

Yikes. Figured with the prices it would be pretty good. We ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeños and dates along with chicken parm sliders and burger sliders. The bacon was completely raw. Inedible. Chicken parm had no flavor and the burgers were bricks. It really was horrible. read more

Love Sip! Such a fun addition to the suburbs. The service has always been very prompt and friendly. There are self serve wine machines which always have a decent variety, then a cooler with beers, seltzers, etc. food is smaller shareable sizes so it's fun to get a few apps to share with friends. Such a lovey experience! The owner was extremely nice and chatted with us a bit. He told us about their building journey, which was fun to learn. The wine selection was great, and the self pour option was a fan favorite!! :) We had the broken corks for a little snack with our wine, which was amazing. Give this charming place a try, because it is a wonderful space with a great ambiance in the back patio, has delicious food and plenty of wine! My family and I got dropped off at Sip wine bar by the Tinley Park ale trolley (that circles every 30 mins) and when we walked in with our baby, they turned us away at the door and told us we were not allowed inside with anyone under 21. The owner acted like he was doing us a favor by letting us wait on the outskirts of the front patio for the trolley (which took about 45 mins to pick us up). We had to stand on the side of Oak Park Ave. on a busy night because this establishment turned us away and wouldn't let us sit inside with a baby. This was the only place out of the other 6-7 places on the Tinley Park ale trolley that did not allow kids and didn't give any notice about this until you walked inside. Do yourself a favor and do not attempt to come here with a family. read more

SO. GOOD. The staff was beyond friendly. We went on a busy Friday night. It was extremely busy and they hit capacity. But the staff was still very friendly and appreciated everything. We did the sip card which I highly suggest. I am not a wine drinker. But the staff helped me as I navigated through the endless options of wine. Great place to go with a couple of friends. My husband had my birthday celebration last Saturday at Sip. We had 16 people and were able to set up three high top tables in the center room. They allow you to bring in decorations and cake, pastries. They put in their fridge for us. We had two servers and they were GREAT! Very friendly and always came around to take the food orders and clean up. We had a variety of food and everything was excellent! Great time! Great place! read more

Very interesting place. Great place to sit, talk, and sample a few different wines and relax. Not a dinner place, not a bar. Everyone was friendly, staff was fabulous and explained how it works. Love Sip! I have gone several times and sat in the back patio area which is the best patio set up on Oak Park Avenue. Kim is a great sever and always suggests awesome wines. We absolutely love their food and have tried everything on the menu, favorites are the bread corks, bacon wrapped dates, brie dip, and the cheese boards. Its such a great date night spot or a social hang out with your girlfriends to try small bites and a variety of wines (they also have beer, water, soda you can buy if you don't drink wine). The chef makes the crackers and everything else from scratch. Food comes out as its ready so you get a variety of plates throughout your time, all hot and fresh! Sip is a much needed change of pace in Tinley Park! read more

What a gem! My friend leaves nearby and suggested we go visit the new wine bar. The self serve option is super fun. Nothing against the bars nearby where bucket of beer are a staple but this is a nice change of pace. The atmosphere is nice. I wish we could have sat outside but it was so hot. It looked like it had a nice patio. The food was decent but I would definitely go for the wine. The woman helping us was excellent and gave a tour of all the different wines. I saw another couple come in and didn't get a tour from the person helping them. Be careful though it can expensive quickly! read more

First time trying this much anticipated place and of course during covid! Did go inside to pick up my order and it's really cute. Staff were very nice and I was pleased to see it was busy. Ordered a bottle of red sangria which was really good. The pretzel is enormous and also really good. Got the charcuterie date night for 2. It was good but you will need to supply your own jams/spreads whatever. There were quite a lot of crackers that needed a little something. I'm sure it's because it was carry out but the crackers were pretty crumbled. 3 containers of fruit came with it which was nice but they were frozen. We will go back again when things are open and give it another shot. read more

The service was slow and unorganized. The food order took too long. I thought the drinks were mediocre and overpriced. I will only get a to-go order from here for their food. The atmosphere was okay, but not as nice as I was expecting it to be. I want to think that this place is going to work out its kinks and eventually become fabulous. Not the place to go to if you like a "good" pour. It's all about tasting wine from all over the world. The "sip" pour is like a shot glass of wine and the largest pour can cost you some cash. ( saw one that was $15.** for a pour that was less then 1/2 glass. Had a ramekin of olives that was $8 plus change and if you wanted cheese it was a extra 1.50.. Some of the apps where large enough to table share and some were not. When you enter you are given a bracelet, after you give them your credit card which they hold until you leave, not sure if I like that. Friendly staff and service was good, but not sure I would go back unless I was looking for a good wine to serve for dinner. read more

It was my first time coming here and we really liked the location and outside patio that they had but the service was pretty bad. We first walk in and they look at me and my friends and dont even ask us if were dining in. We then are rudely asked if were even 21, which we clearly are. We are finally sat down and our server took forever to ask us what we wanted to eat. Ordering alcohol was very confusing too and didnt really make sense. Server was pretty nice and the bus girl was very sweet, but overall did not like the service and the food that much. read more

We hosted my son and soon to be daughter in law's wedding shower on May 22nd at SIP. The owners, Don and Neal, were so accommodating. Any request I had, they made it happen! The room was set up beautifully, the food was delicious, and our server Sam was beyond awesome. So many guests said what a nice place it was and that they would be back. I love the concept of this place but not the pricing. Just to taste a wine was $1.50 to $1.80 for not even a mouthful. The next amount you can try is $5.00. Not even a quarter of the glass. I was not going to pay $10.00 for a full glass that I knew was not going to be full. We order the fried chicken skins. They were so salty we were not able to eat them. I give this place a year max. Go to Coopers Hawk and pay $8.00 for a full glass of good wine. read more
