Eating and drinking in the restaurant portion is always a lot of fun, however, the bar is where it's happening. We always have such a great time at the bar with our two favorite bartenders, Alex and Liz, where we always meet new people!

This is our first visit. What I liked most about this restaurant is every patron seemed lively, were laughing, and enjoying themselves. It was wonderful hearing the laughter and seeing people having fun. I liked the oil and water color paintings as well as the Italian vibe and ambiance. My Pinot Noir was delicious. I ordered shrimp over pasta with lemon wine sauce and spinach. I've ordered this at other Italian restaurants but for some reason it tasted very bland and tasteless; the shrimp was chunky and tasted fishy. It could have used more garlic or a rich cream sauce. Would I order it again? No. The menu wasn't that appealing (phone ran out of juice so I couldn't take a photo). However, the atmosphere was so enjoyable that I think I'll skip the food and drink wine at the bar if I return again.

This is a very good Italian restaurant. Portions are generous. Excellent & very friendly service! We all really enjoyed the delicious beef arancini appetizer. Hubby loved his meat lasagna & minestrone soup. Uncle really enjoyed his Caesar salad, cavatelli al forno (he requested no sauce) & cheesecake with brûlée topping. My Dad loved the sausage and peppers with spaghetti & meat sauce. Daughter really loved her cheese ravioli (she requested no sauce) & lava cake with vanilla gelato for dessert. I would have given 5 stars but the noise level was way too high. We could barely hear each other. Also, the tables were super small, so we were all very uncomfortable, especially my hubby who had to sit next to the specials board which cut into even more of his space because the board stuck out, so try to avoid that table if you go here...

We love it here!!!! Very sweet employees and great service! Love their food and ambiance! Very generous amounts of food and the bartenders are also very generous as well with full glass service! As an Italian, it fulfills my expectations. We love bringing family and friends here and they request it whenever they come to visit.

#16/2024 Frankfort Illinois. Old Town Frankfort kind of a nice area with independent shops and nice little restaurants all around off of the main road. This of course is one of the four La Dolce Vita in the Chicago land area. Three of them are in the far south suburbs one is closer to O'Hare. Having dined at the original in Lemont a few times decided to come to this one for a change. Had reservations for 5:30 arrived on time or seated immediately. Put in a drink order. I had a peroni. Folks had wine. They brought out nice hot fresh bread along with butter and also olive oil and cheese. Decide to have an appetizer went with the bruschetta. For dinner I had one of my favorite meals the chicken vesuvio half chicken along with the vesuvio potatoes they threw some peas in there excellent vesuvio sauce. I also had a side order of sauted spinach I split with Mom there was a lot. You also got to decide a pasta I opted for the mostaccioli noodles with the Alfredo sauce. This is a smaller dining area (reservations highly recommended) here they do have outdoor dining if you like to sit out in the heat but for the most part it's got a nice bar a very strong local clientele it seemed to for a Friday night. Quality the food was excellent. For dessert and had a fantastic creme brulee. Nice and crispy with some strawberries and whipped cream to add and cawfee. Folks had expresso. Would definitely come back to this one over Lemont I seem to like the ambiance a little better personally. Some of these reviews I don't quite get but when we went there it was fantastic five stars all the way.

My bride and I went here Sunday night. We were afraid they would be closed for the holiday, but they weren't my bride ordered a chicken marsala dish which she loved and took home half because the serving was so huge. I ordered a special dish that they made for me With penne, pasta sauce, broccoli and blackened chicken breast. It was terrific. I ate about a quarter or 1/ third of it and the rest will be had for dinner on Wednesday night. My wife and I will share. It was tasty. Stephanie the waitress was terrific is bright and cherry, love the painting on the walls. I can't think of anything bad oh and I forgot to mention that the spumoni is the best I've ever had anywhere and the coffee is great so this is an incredibly easy five star.

It was a Saturday afternoon for me, so I walked into the restaurant and placed an order to go. The young lady behind the bar, took my order. She was extremely friendly and very informative. I ordered a beef taco, a steak taco, an order of nachos and rice and beans. The nachos were the star of the show. They were delicious because the beef was seasoned well and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the tacos, but they were missing something. The seasoning weren't as bold and they didn't give me any sauce green or red salsa to put on my tacos. The rice and beans were pretty good, but they could've used a little more seasoning. I'm gonna check this place out again in September but next time I'll dine in so standby for part two. The jury is still out on this one.

Picked Taco Tavern due to rave reviews about Gringo Lime Lager and food. Modified fajitas to make them vegetarian and the chefs made sure the veggies and guac were in abundance. The interior is very inviting, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's a versatile space that works well for a romantic dinner, a casual date night, or even an evening out with family. We were promptly greeted by the hostess and seated at a table near the front window. Our server, Naomi, welcomed us right away and immediately made us feel comfortable with her friendly and engaging personality. She brought water to the table, took our drink orders, and returned quickly with our beverages before checking if we were ready to order. After answering a few questions, we decided on the fresh oysters, four-cheese flatbread, and pork belly tacos. The oysters were served first, and Naomi took the time to explain their region and variety, which added a nice touch to the experience. They were fresh, clean, and nicely briny. The four-cheese flatbread was rich and flavorful, made with fresh ingredients that really stood out. We also enjoyed the house-cured pork belly tacos--the meat was tender and well-prepared. I requested the toppings on the side, which was accommodated without issue. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The service, atmosphere, and food all came together nicely, and we'll definitely be returning again soon.

I was left wanting more,…read morebut the food is delicious and the manger came through for us when we were about to walk out disappointed. We wanted something other than just burgers again, so I proposed seafood. There didn't seem to be a lot of options in this area, but Dancing Marlin seemed to fit the bill and was pretty close. Before going, we looked at the menu, and there really wasn't anything my little one was going to want on the kids menu - there was no seafood for the kids, not even a basic fish and chips. He saw the lobster rolls appetizer though, and that sold him, so we got in the car and headed down. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.

I attended a bingo night here where I organized a party for my aunt and it was just awful. This bar should not offer to host events as they clearly do not have the staffing or the space to do so. I was treated quite disrespectfully from start to finish simply for trying to set up a few small birthday decorations. And they're impossible to reach by phone in order to plan ahead for your group. Don't expect them to cater to any of your parties' needs or assign a dedicated server to your group. For the amount of money spent on this event and brought to their business I expected far better treatment. As for the bingo night, again awful coordination and execution. The place was jam packed and no one could hear the bingo caller. They have shitty speakers/microphone so don't bother trying to actually play bingo, you won't hear anything. Oh and they're 0% handicap friendly, don't expect them to accommodate anyone with mobility limitations. In summary, I would never host another event at this bar and I hope this review encourages others to look elsewhere. Completely disorganized and a pain to work with. Take your business elsewhere.
