I enjoy the experience every time I go. It's quite relaxing to just hang out with friends, sip some enjoy, and enjoy painting.

I thought it was going to be very hippie, and it was in a way, but it brought out a lot of people...and not all of them were hippies. I do love the idea though: arts and crafts through upcycled material...how much cooler is that? Getting there is somewhat of a pain because Highway 50 narrows down to one lane each way when you get close to the park. Add to that Oktoberfests galore, and you have a very nice recipe for "traffic jam". Everyone parks everywhere, but surprisingly enough, parking wasn't that big of a deal. It is really a family thing too. They have arts and crafts for the kids, indie bands playing, lots of picnic tables set up with the usual assortment of fair foods, an alpaca petting zoo, and of course, Girl Scouts selling cookies. But the booths themselves are the showcase, and the media is quite varied, even though I heard a booth owner complain, "It is so hard nowadays to be original." She was selling wire jewelry, so I guess I can see her point. And really, my favorite booths are really the unique ones like Beqi Clothing and Newberry Furniture. The Newberrys repurpose old wood for new stuff...their current thing consists of Adirondack chairs made from an old barn. And Beqi takes vintage clothing and changes it all around..she has quite the gift. The whole thing is pretty big, and it really does impress me that there are so many craftsters in the area.

From what I understand, artisans come from all over the US to sell at this event. There is a huge variety and it's so much fun. Cool crowd too. I only wish it was a regular fixture rather than once a year in one place. 17/100 Yelp Challenge 2015

While it is not plainly posted on their website, it is prominently displayed at their entrance. So... bring ample cash to cover your party's admission. The physical setup is dialed in, parking is organized by "white" spaces for regular sized cars and "orange" marked ones for bigger vehicles, like vans. You're told which to use at admission, and this ensures everyone's view of the screen is unobstructed. The movie itself started on time, the quality of the projection and audio were also great. We brought our foods this time so I can't comment on the food stand. Our family of 7, really appreciated Skyview's "kids night," as all kids under 12 had free admission. For $20 ($10 per adult), we were able to take our family to this newly released kid's movie. What a bargain... practically unheard of in these times! Combine that with their renovated playground and it's really unmatched anywhere else. Most attendees were respectful of others, though I did see a strong usher presence at the ready, so that may have helped! Skyview is a gem, definitely worth the visit and particularly so on family night if you've got a load of kids!

The toasted ravioli were the worst of my life which is so confusing like how is it possible to make fried food taste bad? I've had better from the freezer isle. My sister ordered the Mediterranean flatbread and it was weird. Didn't seem to truly be Mediterranean inspired and everyone who tried it disliked it. This place used to be packed and it was mostly empty. The strawberry sangria was SO watered down. I had 3 and didn't feel like I consumed any alcohol & certainly couldn't taste any. It was like watered down strawberry juice. The employees were nice, but they don't check on you at the table. You have to bring your cups and dishes back to the bar when you're done. I just don't know if this place will survive if they don't make some huge changes. My family and I used to love coming here, but the ambiance, food and drink offerings, and service is poor. Breaks my heart to see this place go downhill.

The weekend prior, I went to Laumiere's and that one far exceeded art on the square, seemed bigger, more planned out and actually fun. The food places were also not open so we went into a little popcorn place to get a snack. Expectations fell short and not sure how they received that title. Got my steps in though!

The artist seemed to not be affected by the weather. I was impressed with the artwork on display. We had photography, water colors, mixed media, metals, jewelry but the one booth that caught my attention was made with all magazine pages. The artist told me that he cuts words or phrases out of magazine and creates his art. He had a picture of a building that he had hand cut every window out and placed a phrase in it. It was amazing. He spent 50 hours creating it. He was asking $1900. Belleville had it spread out nicely and there was enough room for people to walk around and browse. Food, wine, beer and water was available for you to purchase. They had musicians playing and even an kid art creation station. This is held every May, and sadly you does usually rain. It is a must see for you and the family.
