The halibut is a bit pricey but it is the best in the county by far!

We arrived early so we went up to the bar beautiful view. The bartender was just a Doll. A beer and 2 tiny margaritas $31 and change. Left to luncheon the drinks were really good so we ordered 2 more. A waitress went to go get them for us. We told her what we had just had. She seemed confused, but she was just the cutest sweetest thing. Comes back the drinks did not look the same again $31 and change. She left the two of us took a drink, and it was like watery cherry juice maybe? One in our group sipped hers to get the small pork chop fillet down. I don't drink mine. There was absolutely no way. It was a mixed drink, and there was absolutely positively no alcohol whatsoever taste in it. The salad was basic but good, the rolls were soft, the vegetable tray was over cooked and undercooked? It was odd. The potatoes were dry, the tortellini was good, salmon was good. Nothing actually stood out. Our meals were free so that helped ALLOT!!!!! As we were leaving, we seen the waitress who got our drinks and I had tipped her 10 bucks and I said that was the worst two drinks and biggest tip for what we got that was absolutely awful. And she was stunned and said sorry. I said no problem. I'll take it back up to the Bar. Unreal, same bartender from 1st drink. I set it on the bar and said this isn't the same drink you made like 1st time. She said oh the waitress must of used pre-made. Well it's awful and there was no alcohol. She said next time make sure you have us make it into front of you. Then you can see what you're getting. Alrighty. Done At the least put a shot in my watered down one and pacify me. Nope, So $62 and $25 in tips. I will try it once more.

Delicious Food, Outstanding Service, and a Few New Favorites!…read more This spot has quickly become a favorite. The burger is flavorful and perfectly cooked, and every visit has been matched with warm, attentive service--David, the bartender, is an absolute standout. The space itself is beautifully designed, with a relaxed, low-key atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The pistachio pesto pasta completely wowed me the first time I tried it--rich, fresh, and unique. On my second visit, the garlic flavor was a bit stronger than I expected, but I'm confident it was just a one-off and look forward to enjoying it again. Management provided prompt, thoughtful customer service, and I also tried the crab cakes, which were delicious!

The menu is interesting as you can visually see everything as you click through the pages. I had two cocktails: one that was floral and sweet and the other was smoked with mezcal. I enjoyed them both. The Vault is a craft cocktail lovers dream with their unique creations. I ordered dessert to go which was flavorful. I'd like to return for dinner. They are on Resy if you want to reserve a table. Bar is first come first serve. Nice spot to go also if you have an AMEX card with monthly credit back for Resy dining.

Friday dinner. Super…read morenice people except for an errant young hostess who got very aggressive about taking a menu we were saving in order to get a to go order. Not nice about it at all. When you piss my laid back husband off you have definitely gone wayyy wrong. Our server was amazing though. Efficient and Uber friendly. We got our food quickly and piping hot, drink refills before needed. She was charming everyone in the room I think. Everyone seemed in a good mood. The food was nice. We especially likes our Cuban egg roll app. Stuffed full of meat, they had terrific flavor and were filling to boot. Made my husband thank about getting the sandwich next time. He had barbecued shrimp this time. Excellent bbq sauce. His sides of choice were really tasty vodka sauced pasta and just okay cheesy potatoes. I went with the piccata style perch which had great flavor, a perfectly done huge baked potato and a wreck of the loaded up brussels. The Brussels may do it for some but they were a no bueno flavor mess to me. Yikes. When I was nearly finished I got a big old bite of bone in my perch. The manager stopped by and was appropriately concerned, super apologetic. Offered us all kinds of freebies. I assured her it was not necessary. I truly enjoyed my meal there. I was stuffed and satisfied. We took prime rib melts to my parents and they were happy. Overall a nice food night. We will return.

Today was a visit to Detroit to see my daughter. We were craving some Home Cooking and found it here. Lots of small mom and pops around but we chose this one because they had a review already and were open. Menu looks very good. I got the smothered Pork chops , mac n cheese and collards. My son got fried catfish mac n cheese and loaded mash potatoes with cornbread. We decided to splurge and got peach cobbler and banana pudding, our total bill was $50. Seems like a lot but hey we are in Michigan ‍ and wth, Im cravin soul so its's worth it. I'm posting pictures below. I've got to tell you I mean this is some of the best stuff I have ever had. It just brought back memories for me. I devoured one of the pork chops, about a third of my macaroni and cheese and half of my collards and I was stuffed , I took a bite of the both desserts. They were very good. The peach cobbler was not served warm which is fine cause we can always take it back and heat it up and put a dollop of ice cream on it but just to let you know in case you wanna ask them to heat it up. But oh my God it's so good. I will go back there in a heartbeat! Thank you ladies for reminding me of my roots.
