I was so extremely pleased to find this gem of a boutique that was recommended by a friend. Lupe and her husband and staff were very helpful! So many beautiful communion dresses and accessories. It was one stop shopping. There was no need to drive out to Long Island! I needed a dress for my granddaughter in Nevada and Lupe advised me on how to get the perfect measurements for the dress. Lupe did a great job explaining what will be done to the dress to ensure a perfect fit. Dress was ready within a week and the alterations were done to perfection. This store called one week before the christening to say the dresses wouldn't be here in time. I had stumbled across this store while panicking that I needed two dresses in a week. I walked into the store and immediately was taken care. I was able to sit with the owner and pick out every detail for the two dresses. I was on a hunt for a unique christening dress for my niece and after going to all the overly pricey spots in astoria I stumbled across this place and I couldn't be happier that I did! The owners are so so nice and so understand about shoppers wanting to stay in their price range. They did not badger me into buying something I didn't want, they helped me find something I loved and that was in my price range. They take appointments too! If you need your child fitted for any occasion this is your spot! No matter what age your child is this place will amuse them. This place is great!! We had a wardrobe emergency as my parents (who live out of town) got my 5 month old son an outfit that was HUGE on him. We came in on the Thursday before the event and were pleasantly greatest by Lupe, one of the owners of the store. The store itself was beautiful and had a great selection but I think the customer service made it great. We were able to get our son a great outfit that fit for a reasonable price. We happened upon this place by accident, but we are so happy we did. This place is a gem! Were a month away from my daughter's 1st communion and I could not find a store that had a dress that was the right size (waist/length). Although you need an appointment, the owner told us to be patient and we did. After about 45 mins we got a one on one fitting and such great customer service. I recently visited Sir Lance's Lot to shop for a communion dress with my 7 year old daughter. I have never experienced such outright rude and unwelcoming customer service. We walked in excited to see what their communion dress selection would be. When I asked to see their dresses in my daughter's size, the saleswoman rudely responded "we have hundreds". I stated I was specifically interested in cotton, because my daughter has sensitive skin. She indicated they only carried two. There were absolutely no other customers in the store. I asked if my daughter could try one of the cotton ones on. She very rudely responded that we needed to make an appointment. I said "ok, it isn't for a few months anyway". She abruptly responded that we are actually behind in the process, because they have already started to sell them months ago, for the upcoming spring. I told her, "good thing there are thousands of dresses available online and at other stores". I always treat everyone with respect, in the manner that I would like to be treated. If you are in the business of retail, this rude and negative attitude is certainly unacceptable. I came with money in my pocket, ready to treat my daughter to her special dress, shoes and accessories. I will NEVER set foot in this establishment again. read more

I already had a dress and they suggested I bring it in so that we can try it on and see if the tiara and veil were going to match. I came across this store while looking online for my friend who was looking for a Communion dress for her granddaughter and didn't have any luck in the stores she went to. I can't believe this store has been there for 14 years and I never knew about !!!!! Yes, you do need appointment if you are going to try on dresses but you can go and look ahead of time to see what they have, which is what my friend and I did. We could not believe the selection of Communion dresses in all sizes and prices. They also have christening outfits and adorable children's clothing. They also make custom made clothes and costumes. The owners Bill and Lupe are very nice. My friend has a appointment for tomorrow with her granddaughter and I can't wait to see which dress she get . Let me start by saying that I ended up not purchasing a communion dress from this establishment, but I can't express enough how impressed I am with the customer service, friendly, professional and knowledgeable people that are running this place. This was the first shop we went to and it was 5-6 months prior to my daughters' communion, although there were many beautiful dresses and the staff was the best of the best I was just all over the place at the time and couldn't make a decision. I really wish there wasn't a "no picture policy" because I honestly couldn't remember what either of the 2 dresses I had it narrowed down to looked like from about 15 minutes after I left. I appreciate the time they spent with us (never felt rushed), the ease of making an appointment, being seen on time and the attention we received. I have given their info and recommended this shop to many people in my church - hopefully the time they spent with us will pay off in referrals! read more
