Last Sunday after visiting Pittsburgh, my partner's family and I stopped at this establishment in Wexford for lunch. It's a small place with a different kind of pizza. Since I live most of my life in the NY metro area, Sir is not anything like NY pizza. We ordered 2 pies one tomato white and the other with mushrooms. The pizza pies are cut from a different slice. Literally and figuratively, they are cut in squares even though they're round which makes them kind of unique. The pizza itself has a very interesting taste as the tomato sauce is more like tomato soup. The thin crust was nice and crispy just like finger food servings size. All in all it's friendly, speedy, and efficient.

Scream For Pizza! I scream for this pizza because it's a local favorite in the North Shore... I have never had this place and this was my very first time. Wildly different style of pizza all the way down to how the pie is sliced. Sweet sauce, diced toppings and bites you can grab with your fingers and not really needing a plate... I'm already thinking about going back! I was very gay and for Pizza here so you can be to!! ‍‍

I grew up with Sir Pizza at the Sewickley Oakmont location, so it will always have a place in my heart. I love the square pieces with the triangle edges and the chopped pepperoni instead of whole slices. Yes, the mushrooms definitely come from a can, the sauce is probably some generic jar but oh the nostalgia. My mom did a pickup order which they messed up. It should have been a large pepperoni and half mushroom and a small half pepperoni/mushroom and half just pepperoni. We received: a large all mushroom and pepperoni and a small half pepperoni/mushroom with the other half just mushroom. At least the mushrooms are large enough to be picked off easily. I enjoyed the crispiness of the crust and appreciated the bottom was also crispy and not soggy. Bottom line: not my favorite pizza nor the best pizza but when I eat it, I know I'm Home. I don't get back to Pittsburgh much so any bit of nostalgia I enjoy.

sir pizza's pizza has always appealed to me...its a little different- slices are cut into small shapes (mostly squares and rectangles, triangles on the outer edge) the toppings in this case were sausage, mushrooms and onions and i like how the sausage is finely diced theres something about the lilliputianness of it i guess that i like...one can eat 6 "slices" and be tricked into being full but make no mistake, it's good pizza...fresh ingredients...with a unique taste...in the sauce for sure

I'm not a pizza expert or snob, but am very happy with Sir Pizza's food and service. We order takeout regularly and it is always ready on time and as ordered. The employees are courteous and friendly. Prices are low. What else could you ask from a pizza place?

It is like an adult version of a "totino's pizza" and its heavenly. The crust is crispy and airy

Decent local pizza chain in Pittsburgh. Family friendly. Good spot for a pizza and a beer! Try the Royal Feast.

It's the kind of pizza that is fairly good every so often but it can't take the place of a very good pizza.

The worst pizza I've ever had. The crust tastes like the cardboard it comes in. Hardly any cheese & nothing tastes fresh.

I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review to a (probably) local owner. After reading a bit…read moreabout the ownership, I learned that this Monte Cellos location was sold and is managed by a "Sonny." It was a Sonny I messaged. Our fb messenger interaction is screenshotted in pics. In short, we ordered online on Monday. The restaurant decided to close due to a storm the evening prior. I thought roads were perfectly clear so it never occurred to me that they'd be closed. We waited almost 2 hours before realizing they have to be closed. No VM message, online orders took, and $ withdrawn from the bank (reversed the next day). I was still craving Monte Cellos so we ordered on Tuesday. It took 75 min to get our food, and the order wasn't complete. We had been charged for 2 full dinners but received no soup or salad. I figured I'd call during day shift when manager is likely to be on site. I couldn't call until Thursday bc I was so busy in meetings on Wednesday. The manager with whom I spoke was rude and not at all helpful. He blamed me for waiting the extra day, said I could "cone get the soup," and refused a partial refund. As a Monte Cellos patron since we moved to PGH in 2013, I was so taken back by the attitude and lack of willingness to treat loyal customers like a business who cares about their loyal customers. This guy's attitude, when summed up in a statement, seemed to be,"screw you. I don't care. We got plenty of customers. It's all your fault." I was angry and very disappointed. We've had plenty of issues over the past 13 years, but nothing that warranted a phone call or even a mention until now. I asked for the manager on a local foodie site and Sonny messaged me. I believe it's reasonable to want a partial refund, especially when the manager is so confrontational about the issues. For my own business, I turn off scheduling online for my business when I'm not going to be there.. it's easy.. Their failure to turn off ordering seems less like an "oops, sry," and more like a middle finger to the customer and pure arrogance. Add to that the agreement to give so e refund but not following through warrants a 1 star review. This is literally my first one star for a non-corp restaurant. If I didn't do research, I wouldn't know this place is not related anymore to the actual Monte Cellos. If this was my first interaction w Monte Cellos, I sure wouldn't be back. I'll visit the other locations, but never again to Wexford unless something tremendous changes, like management or owner. When you read the msg chain, I'll readily admit to being mad. I felt gaslighted by the manager. I don't remember if it was Sonny on the phone or another name, I just know no refund was given and the lack of accountability was over the top.

It wasn't too crowded as there were still several seats available inside plus a bench outside, but I chose to eat outside because it was such a beautiful day. I really like the business model where you can grab a single slice and actually see the pizzas before choosing. Sometimes you just want a slice or two instead of committing to a whole pizza, and it's nice being able to mix it up. At $4 per slice, it also feels like a pretty good deal considering how large and filling the slices are. I do wish there had been a few more pizza options available at the counter, but I also understand I came later on a Monday evening. They toast the pizza again really quickly after you choose your slices, and I loved that extra toasted texture, especially on the tomato spinach pizza. I'm a fan of New York-style pizza in general because I like that foldable, crispy texture and the balance between the cheese and crust. Interestingly, the pepperoni slice felt pretty different from the tomato spinach one crust-wise. I personally preferred the thinner, crispier crust on the tomato spinach, but I also appreciated the variety and liked the more comforting feel of the pepperoni pizza. I also loved that they had Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes available to add on top. Since they already have a topping counter, I think it could be cool if they also offered things like banana peppers, hot sauce, chili oil, truffle oil, garlic oil, or balsamic on top to compliment the different pizza flavors.
