Hoagie was super fresh, pizza was light with slightly sweet sauce (reminds me of fioris). The cheese bread sticks are a show stopper with the crispy edges from the pan they're baked in. I love pizza (shocking, I know) and was in the mood to try a new place. As with any pizza place, my rule is if they cant make a good plain pizza then they probably aren't a good pizza shop. Well... this place didn't disappoint! It's not the best pizza I've had in Cranberry/Wexford (that'd be Aviva) but it is far better than any chain like Pizza Hut, Fox's, etc. I'd say it even better than some local pizza like Monticello's and Della Terra. I really like Champs Pizza. IMO it's the best pizza in the area. Good tasting crust, excellent cheese and toppings are always plentiful. It's my go to pizza for sure. So much better than many of the other local pizza places. I've never had a bad pizza from here. The staff has always been extremely friendly and the wait time is never bad. Tonight, a Friday, my pizza was quoted as being ready in 10-15 minutes. Granted it was after 8pm but still. Breadsticks are a decent too. Champs is too notch for me. read more

Recently tried Champs pizza for the first time. I love a good Buffalo chicken pizza and this one was pretty good. I will say, for someone who enjoys a cheesy pizza, this one had a little too much cheese for me. The spice level was perfect and the extra garlic butter sauce for the crust was just like Papa Johns. Also, really appreciated that because I came in with my baby, the employee offered to help me carry my pizza to the car. Though I didn't need the help it was very nice of him to offer. I was told it would be ready in 20 min and it was! The pizza was aesthetically pleasing and tasted delicious. Fresh, hot, and made with love! The wings? fresh, hot, and the seasoning-delish! My husband and I decided to try a new place to order pizza for take out. We had an Enjoy Book coupon for 50% off a large 1 topping pizza. This place had good reviews and I thought their square pizza looked super good, based on reviewers pictures. So we decided to order a large square bacon pizza. My husband came home with it and when we opened it up, it probably only filled half the box. But the real kicker was that the center of the pizza was bare of cheese and barely had any sauce on it! It looked rather sad and I was already disappointed. When putting a slice on my plate, the crust was really hard and looked burnt. There was almost no sauce on the pizza and the dough itself almost tasted rubbery. Needless to say this was so disappointing especially when seeing all of the positive reviews. The only way we will be back is to use a coupon in the future and even then, there are so many other options in the area for take out pizza. read more

I found Champ's in the enjoy coupon book and tried some takeout from here. What I really was looking forward to was some of the pan pizza pictured here on Yelp. Some amazing pictures of sauce, cheese, and a little bit of grease for some extra flavor. None of this was the case with the bacon pan pizza. Cheese was missing on about a piece and a half (as seen in the picture) and there was hardly any sauce on it and eh on the bacon toppings. The pizza was also a little extra crispy and crunchy, kind of like eating crunchy dry bread. I think the crispiness would have worked if sauce and cheese was actually included, but that wasn't the case. Not really interested in coming back here. Some of the other pictures on Yelp look really enticing, and maybe one day I'll forget my bad experience and give it another try based upon the photos, but for the time being I am interested in exploring other pizza options. read more

It is Wednesday and we decided to try a different Pizza location. Champ's Pizza House is where it is at. No seating inside, but we sat outside and at our fresh pies. The team got a Deep Dish Linebacker and 1 mixed - 1/2 Californian Veggie, 1/2 Pepperoni. The deep dish crust was crunchy on the outside but fluffy good, topped with a very neutral sauce (not sweet, not acidic), with the right amount of toppings. I traditionally get a NY style or thin crust pie but every once in a while, it is good to mix it up. This deep dish / pan pizza hit all the right notes with me. I had heard good things so while staying in Cranberry I called for a pizza to be delivered. Unfortunately, they either didn't have a delivery person that night or they were too busy to take another delivery order - so we went for the pickup option and ordered a large pepperoni and green pepper pie with original crust. The pizza was tasty and ready quickly. Well I was looking for some new places to try that are close to my workplace, and I found this place. The food looked pretty good, but I never got to try it. Everything says they open at 11, my lunch is at 11, cool, works perfect then. I got there around 11:15, no lights, door is locked and I saw a figure move away from the counter into the back when I got out of my car. That's some pretty crappy service if you ask me. Don't advertise 11 if you actually aren't going to be open. If that's my first impression of you, I'm going to go ahead and assume that your food isn't that great either because you have employees/management who don't care. read more

In the busy city of Cranberry twp there are plenty of pizza places to choose from but this is one of my favorites. I can't speak much on the variety of their menu bc i really only get one thing - their sicilian pizza. It's not your traditional sicilian pizza bc they do not pre- bake the shells to get the light/airy texture in the dough, instead they stretch the dough fresh for each pizza which, in a thicker pizza like a sicilian, gives it a nice, doughy texture that i really love. Then another part of the pizza i love is, and this isn't by accident, is that there is always a nice bit of very crispy ( but not burnt) cheese along the crust. I've been told that's a little thing they do on their pizzas and it's awesome! The cheese appears to be a nice heavy mix of mozzarella and provolone, very good and they do not skimp on the cheese. The pepperoni also always has that nice crunchiness that i always enjoy having but not many places do it right. Champs certainly does! But now we get to my favorite part of any pizza - the SAUCE. As you can see by my pics i love alot (i mean downright messy) of sauce. I always ask for some extra sauce right on top after it comes out and they always oblige, without charging me extra... There should never be a charge for some extra sauce. The staff are always friendly and it appears to be cleaner than most pizza shops Ive been in. So don't hesitate to give this place a try... We ordered a pepperoni party pan pizza, large grilled chicken salad, and the cheese rolls for our friends on our move in day. We were all pleasantly surprised on how tasty everything was and the 8 of us felt super full afterwards. The garlic sauce with the cheese rolls was sooooo delicious . I ordered my pizza and went to the store next door. When I returned, one of the guys was throwing food at another who was cutting a pizza. The young man stopped when he saw me watching. The shop is unkempt and uses one of those chain-driven pizza ovens (I should've been warned by those two things but I love to try different places so...) Let's just say it was below average. Cheap pepperoni and lots of flavorless cheese covering a strange tasting sauce. It was large but we threw out what was left, deeming it not worthy of lunch the next day. I have yet to eat any food that goes through a chain-driven oven and tastes good. One plus is that small containers of crushed, red peppers fill a basket by the register. If you buy a pizza here, I'd suggest you take some of those to cover for this substandard pie. read more

Wow-yummy!! Tuesday about Noon, walked in and got four slices of Sicilian (the thick crust kind), three with pepperoni, one plain. Perfect amount of cheese, the crust was perfectly baked, The sauce is very well-balanced, really nice genuine flavors -- not oversalted. I was going to ask about the gluten-free, but these were already done, so I just went with them. I'll be back for some gluten-free. Had the pleasure of meeting Pat, the owner, he's hands on, extremely friendly, helpful, happy to accommodate and explain his food... very nice modest man, not braggy. A place is always better when the owner is on the premises. That might explain why this place is so good. He gave me extra sauce on the side, and it's very good. Great flavors. Parking is very easy, and the kitchen is very clean, and service was very fast. I wasn't in there for more than a few minutes. Four big slices came to less than $8. Champ's has become a favorite at my nearby office! My coworkers and I have ordered several times for office birthday parties, but I began craving the pizza so much earlier this week that I had to have some for lunch. Champ's sells their amazing pan pizza (or Sicilian to some) by the slice, and for just a few dollars, I purchased two slices and had a happy and full tummy after lunch. Not only is Champ's pizza delicious, but I appreciate that they offer options for those of us with food allergies. All of the crusts are soy free, unlike the majority of chain pizzas, and they also offer a gluten free option. Though Champ's doesn't have a seating area, make sure to take your pizza outside by Sincerely Yogurt on a beautiful day. There are plenty of outdoor tables available. read more

I stopped by here a couple of Mondays ago by myself for lunch. I had called in my order for a large pepperoni pizza around 11:15 and was quoted a time of around 20 minutes. I showed up somewhere around that time and my pizza was ready. As a matter of a fact I think that my total time spent in the shop ended up being less than 2 minutes and I was quickly on my way back to the office. There isn't too much to speak about of the shop here. There were a couple of tables outside the restaurant and the inside is just a counter to order with the kitchen behind it. Once I was back at the office I opened the pizza box to see a pretty nice looking pizza. There was a good amount of cheese on it , although not too much, and the crust had a nice golden color color to it. Like all pizzas this one can be broken down into its three major components: sauce, crust and cheese. The crust of this pizza was good and seemed to be a medium thickness. It wasn't floppy whenever you picked it up but also wasn't stiff as a board. One thing that I did notice was the bottom of the pizza near the center was pretty greasy but I think that may be attributed to the pepperoni that was on top of it. The cheese of this pizza was solid and they had the perfect amount on it. Finally my favorite part of the pizza ended up being the sauce. Whenever I was eating I didn't notice anything special about it but the aftertaste of it ended up being a bit sweet with a hit of rosemary which I loved. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. They make a solid pizza and I loved the hint of rosemary in the sauce. read more
