My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day prix fixe dinner. We felt rushed from the beginning. Waitress took our food order while we were ordering drinks. Apps arrived soon after drinks. Soup was not hot (our table and several others). Busboy tried to clear app dishes before we were finished. Entries arrived while still finishing apps. We asked that entrees be returned to kitchen. When we received entrees, my medium-rare steak was medium to well, perhaps because they say under hot lamps while waiting for us to be ready. Risotto was pasty and didn't have much flavor. Was really excited about this new restaurant in town so I recently ate lunch at Siren in Old Greenwich with my husband. Didn't realize it was Mediterranean which I loved bc we don't have that option in this town. It had strange feel though. Not sure why, wish it had a better vibe. Maybe some music or happier upbeat staff. Something was off with the atmosphere. Lots of tapas choices. Food was pretty good. Need more main options. Maybe their is a different menu for dinner but I enjoyed my meal. Cauliflower is a must for tapas if you visit ! Good place to go, sit at bar ,have tapas and drinks. read more

I had a Wonderful Evening with Girl friends last night at Siren . Started with a Aperol Spritz at the bar and met up with lots of locals before the Girls Arrived ! Atmosphere was Cosy , relaxed and Fun Dinner was served promptly, My Steak was tender, flavored and juicy, french fries , crispy and side salad refreshing. The portion was Spot On! One of our favorite new haunts in the area. The decor is fresh and the music is fun and the staff works hard to make sure everything is perfect. The fantastic and interesting menu rotates a bit, so don't cling onto your favorites, but be open to new ideas each time you come. Our favorites have been the Mediterranean salad, the Taziki, chickpea soup, the eggplant, appetizer, and any of the pastas You will be lucky if you get Rosemary as a waitress, but the staff in general is very attentive and make sure you're comfortable every minute you're there. This was such a disappointment. We went to dinner here last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. I ordered the fettuccine carbonara special, and a glass of dry white wine. They brought me a fettuccine pesto dish. I alerted the waitress of the error and she blamed the kitchen, the staff, and made every excuse besides apologizing and just getting the right thing. My friends finished eating by the time my food came out. She forgot the wine, so I reminded her. She brought me a glass of red wine, instead of what I had ordered and reminded her about 3 times. The fettuccine did not taste good. It was flavorless. The guanciale in the dish was burnt to a crisp, so much so that I couldn't even pierce it with a fork. It was terrible. I will not be returning, because on top of atrocious service and terrible food, it's so overpriced for the portion sizes. 0/10, do not recommend. read more

I have been to Siren several times recently and have been very pleased every time! The happy hour is great especially if you get one (two) of the signature cocktails and the food is Amazing. The service is always great. The staff is friendly and really pamper you. Here's a pic of the Fanny Bay oysters we had there a few days ago, only $2 each during happy hour. The hostess was what made our experience so awful. I made a reservation over the phone. We showed up, I gave the hostess my name and she couldn't find it. After a bit of searching her iPad, she calls the manager (unclear of his title) over. He brought it up using my number, however, the names didn't match. He apologized for any confusion. No idea why but the hostess claims I didn't give my real name when making the reservation and makes a snide comment. The restaurant policy is to give a credit card to secure the reservation so clearly I had. The hostess seats us but a member of our party had difficulty walking to the table and then when we are all seated, she makes ANOTHER snarky comment about how long it took us to be seated. As to not embarrass our friend further, we ignored it. The positive parts of the restaurant were the manager handle himself well when there was a weird issue at check in. Our waiter was polite, the servers were professional and courteous. The food was fine (not outstanding). Pleasant experience at our table overall. We paid the bill and left. As we are leaving the hostess calls to me to give them my "real name." I said I didn't like how she accused me of not giving my correct name. There must have been an mix-up when I called. I walked out the door and she comes after me outside insisting that I give my real name and that i shouldn't have lied about it. I just told her to have a good evening and while she was holding the restaurant door open (not allowing new patrons to enter) she made ANOTHER unprofessional comment to me about making up my name. I'm not sure why she was so insistent that it was my fault about the name mix-up nor why she was so unprofessional, rude and inappropriate. Maybe she is a relative of the owner because I don't think it is the right way to conduct yourself if you want diners to enjoy themselves at your restaurant and return in the future. read more

I was only here for a short period but for that short period I give it 4 stars. I deducted a star because the bartender wasn't so chippy. Seemed like I was doing him a favor by being there. Or, better yet, "we" were doing him a favor. There was quite a few of us girls for ladies night. He just wasn't so friendly. However- his drinks were strong!!! So I only deducted half a point or barely that. I cannot give an establishment a 5 since I didn't taste more food. As for the food, I only really tasted the variety of hummus which I thought was very tasty. Very fresh and good. Drinks were strong. Ambience was cozy. So it's a 4. Maybe if I try more food I'll give it a 5. I should've bought the bartender a shot and maybe he would've been more chippy! read more

Pricey but cool place to have fresh fish and good beer. Service is excellent at the bar area. This place is used to be "The beach House". I have been here 4 or 5 years ago. It's a nice place to relax. I must also say potatoes were not well cooked and a small amount for a pricey place. read more

Food was average Service was great. Ambience was ruined by parents ok with bringing up wild children ok with the noise and mess they created! I would not go early unless you want to do time with others that are unaware of parents like the above ! All in all this owner knows what he's doing! I can't tell you how much searching I've done looking for a high end Mexican Restaurant. This establishment seems to fit the bill! This review is about the service only. I have been there for the food and it was very good. I made a reservation for 2:30 PM on a Saturday. I was running late by 10 minutes and receive a call asking where I was. I was already parking and advised i would be there with my elderly parents in a few minutes. I was advised by "izzy" the host that the kitchen was actually closing at 3 and that the kitchen was already packing up. I was advised it was probably not a good idea to come now. i had already parked and walk to the door and it was already locked. This was still before 3:00. No one was even around. This is service and competence at its worst. Who cares if your food is good if this is how you treat your clients! Absolutely rude and unprofessional! read more

I really liked this place. They have excellent cocktails and a superior wine list as well as a selection of excellent tapas style dishes and hors d'oeuvres so you can make a real evening of it. Nice concept and imaginative menu, but awkward execution. We ordered several tapas, which unfortunately were all served at once. My chicken tapa was burnt and inedible. Hard to screw up but the kitchen succeeded. A snapper tapa was cold and the fish was glassy and unappetizing. Service was attentive and friendly and because of that we might revisit after the summer as this meal could have been a fluke. The decor is fresh and bright, outside seating looked inviting but we preferred a table inside because of the heat. Inexplicably, the staff decided to open the French doors to the street side, which let in a wave of heat and humidity. Siren could be a valuable addition to the budding Old Greenwich restaurant scene, but so far Applausi Osteria Toscana remains the best place to dine. read more

The food is from the same people behind The Fat Poodle and it's very good. The layout is similar to The Beach Bar except with a paint job and Mediterranean (particularly Greek) decor. Patatas Bravas, lamb pops and the Greek Salad are excellent and my companions loved the paella. Have been twice, will go back (probably often). read more

I have visited Siren twice, 1st visit was within a month of the opening place was packed and the food was good. Ordered a variety of tapas and shared an entree. Have to say nothing was a standout but I chalked it up to growing pains. Returned again for dinner during the week with 4 friends - place was less than half full - we ordered drinks and tapas to start and entrees to follow - an hour later still nothing but drinks and water on the table. We called over the server she explained that things would be arriving shortly but she would be starting with our salads not tapas - crazy since at least two of our appetizers were shared Mediterranean dips - seriously? They are sitting in containers in the fridge! It was another 20 minutes before any food was presented. The food, when it did arrive, was just eeeh nothing great . Not one of the many dishes was a stand out - you need to do better there are other very good Mediterranean in the area! read more
