We have worked with Sirois electric numerous times for nearly 20 years and our experience with them has always been excellent. They have worked on both large and small projects and no matter the size of the project their work meets with the professional standards one expects under state and local building codes. Importantly, when your project needs to be permitted it is key to have a company that knows the rules and can interact effectively with the town inspectional divisions as there is no substitute when it comes to home wiring. In our home we have at times uncovered less than stellar prior renovation wiring and Chris and his team helped trace the problems and rewire questionable circuits (or occasionally ones that had faulted). Depending upon your project, fixing poor wiring can take time and there are instances where agreeing to time and materials pricing is key to provide flexibility. On the other hand, we have hired Sirois for fixed price projects associated with renovations and have these projects have come out very nicely and on budget. Sirois' pricing is consistent with the quality of the work. If you are unfamiliar with what constitutes appropriate wiring then be sure to request that the project be permitted and inspected. It is likely that where you might think you are getting a great price, once you say somebody needs to check the work the price goes up considerably. While a bit of judgement is involved with any home repair/renovation etc., you can count on Sirois to do a quality job. Finally, scheduling home contractor work often requires patience and this is especially the case with electrical work. Sirois has helped us quickly in an emergency, but typically we plan at least a couple weeks ahead of time and even more for more involved projects. It is good to be clear up front if you could be charged for an estimate as at times this can be appropriate depending upon the project and circumstances; in our experience this never happens. They lost my phone number and tried to reschedule a half hour before the time they were scheduled to arrive via email. Then at the scheduled time they showed up. But not the joker I'd spoken to and explained the job and arranged the appt. with. Some other joker showed up. Now 2 weeks later they have yet to call or send me an estimate. As a result of this most recent snowstorm, ice dams caused water damage in my kitchen ceiling. Specifically water collected in the large ceiling light fixture. Don't be mislead. I requested an estimate and because I chose not to do business with them they sent me an invoice for their time approximately 30 minutes. I was never told that they would charge me to come to my house to give me an estimate or I never would have called them. They certainly didn't expect me to bring my house to them.They are suing me in small claims court,yet to be determined..Sirois is very arrogant when he does not get his way. read more

I have been using Sirois Electric for 3 years now. Chris and his crew have rewired my entire house, a job that other electricians have passed on due to the complexity of my older home. As a Master Electrician, Chris's attention to safety and detail is obvious. He and his crew have taken great care to make the wiring in my home safe, neat, and done right the first time. The crew is always friendly and take the time to clean up after each day's work. Having had such extensive work done, I have had the opportunity to get to know most of the employees at Sirois Electric and know that, not only can I trust them to do the job safely, I can trust them in my home when I am not present. Chris installed a generator system and upgraded our wiring after we bought our current house. He and his crew were pleasant, on-time, and efficient. The proof is in the pudding as they say, and during the recent bad winter I fired up the generator and everything worked perfectly. We had heat & hot water, a functioning sump pump, hot food (from the microwave), light, email & other Internet, and watched videos. He knows nothing about customer service and tried to charge me $1500 to install three ceiling fans. When I obviously declined, he tried to charge me for the quote. Our entry light never worked. No matter how many time we re-set the timer it still never worked. We asked them to replace it and re-set it, and it still didn't worked. When asked them to complete the work the owner just yelled at me on the phone and told me I should just re-set the timer myself. They claimed that I was never home when they showed up but they re-scheduled so many times that I gave up. read more

I have used Sirois Electric in the past for base heaters in a bathroom and assorted other small jobs. They always exceeded my expectations--excellent work, clean, and easy to work with. When I called Chris to install base heaters in our office space, he came by and took a look at what would be involved. The work would be more extensive than in the past, and so after considering that, we decided to get a portable heating unit instead. When I wrote Chris to let him know that we would NOT be having that work done, he agreed that our decision made more sense. These guys cant be trusted to work on a T+M basis; make sure you get a quote signed by them and toss their estimate in the garbage where it belongs. Was billed $7635 (includes $1200 of material) to install a 400amp residential transfer switch to two existing 200 amp panels. The job was supposed to last 2-3 days but took 5. It took some unpleasantness to get their attention but they eventually credited me $1500 for one day of labor. So congrats to me...most expensive residential ATS install ever. Initially they offered to supply a 20kw Generac generator and ATS for $7k when it retails at homedepot type stores for around $5k so I suspect all their materials are overpriced. The fact that I declined that rip-off and provided my own generator and ATS was cited as an example of me taking over the job and given as an excuse for the large bill. read more
