Remarkable experience from start to finish at Siro's. The food was so incredible it is really hard to put into words. Every dish was a perfect balance on your palate, every bite was pure bliss. This was hands down the best food I have ever eaten in my life. I have eaten a lot of amazing food and I don't think I knew how much better it could get. Chef Noah Frese continues to amaze me with his creativity and the wild depth of flavor he manages to create with his dishes. The service from Joe was also so welcoming and helpful, he truly brought the whole experience together, providing excellent recommendations and catering to our every need. We ordered way too much! For fine dining, these portions truly make it worth the money. We had tons of leftovers. We sampled five appetizers and three entrees. The first round was the Siro's Sushi Roll and the Rock Shrimp. The sushi roll was gorgeous, adorned with gold leaf, and tasted even better than it looked. A luxurious bite of king crab, filet, and all the right sushi roll accompaniments. The Rock shrimp dish was unassuming and packed with flavor, it was creamy, spicy and the rice crisp added the perfect texture. Chef sent out the Foie Gras Special of the evening in between rounds and we got to try this creative dish of Foie terrine with a great flavor profile. The second round was the Foie Gras and beef tartare. This was the largest portion of Foie Gras I had ever been served and it was remarkable. The maple bacon praline - to die for. The whole dish was excellently crafted and the Foie was so delicious. The Beef tartare was gorgeous and very standard, still an impressive dish. Then the entrees, Lobster Francese (insane), Scallops with oxtail risotto, and the Cowgirl Oscar. The lobster Francese was a must, the main reason we had to come. It was every bite as delicious as it sounds, huge lobster tail, perfect polenta, amazing lemon wine sauce. The scallop dish also blew me away, who knew scallop and oxtail was a match made in heaven? The risotto was the only one I've had at a restaurant that is better than mine, and it was perfect, so rich and decedent with hunks of oxtail, and the sear on those scallops was insane. The Cowgirl Oscar, I only tried a bite of the steak but it was the softest piece of beef I have ever ate in my life, my jaw dropped. This was the best experience I have had in a restaurant. It was a blast to be there, service was impeccable, the restaurant was alive with chatting between tables, the chefs walking around asking how the dishes are, this is five star dining, all thanks to Chef Noah and all the staff at Siro's. Siro's is a Saratoga staple that has been revitalized by the new chef Noah Frese. We visited on a Wednesday night and were greeted by the maître d Michael who is amazing and has been there for decades. The appetizers were all amazing but our highlights were the crab cake, the chopped salad, the crudo, the tartare, and the foie gras. For mains we had the sea bass, the halibut special, the veal chop and the seafood scampi (I suggest adding the pasta). The portions are generous, our waters were full and the drinks were flowing. Chef Noah has taken it up a level. Each dish is a creative, original take on a classic. The food has layers of flavor that shows his serious expertise. We hope to be back again and again. read more

We went right after a race at Saratoga on a Saturday. It was beyond crowded similar to a frat party atmosphere. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for a drink at the bar serving Veuve, Grey Goose, and Chandon because they only had one bartender working??? The drink prices were high so the service should have been much better. Everyone in our party had race-style dresses on and all 3 of us had people spill drinks on us because they were pushing through the crowds. They were so drunk they didn't even realize that they spilled on us. Would never recommend this place after a race unless you are 21 years old and don't mind ruining your clothes. read more

This is a good place. They have and the same staff for years and they are amazing. It took. A few minutes after we were seated to have anyone come with water or menu etc. Then I took awhile to get the bread. But once we said something it flipped and they could not have been more attentive. We attributed it to a table of ten that was near us and that was taking up their time. But then it turned into great awesome service. The steak with the peppercorn butter sauce was amazing. My ten year old kept complimenting it so much that they took her on the kitchen to meet the chef. She had an amazing shrimp cocktail. Their career salad is a twist of something different and Amazing. I crave it. They also have their own olive oil And balsamic and it's amazing. You can get it at Saratoga olive oil (where I promptly went the next day)! The chef is new this year. Siro's can be fun sometimes, but as the track season wears on it morphs into a bad wedding. Lots of guys in shirts they bought at Macy's milling around looking at the 4 girls that are there. Cover bands playing the same shit over and over, day after day. The first thing you notice when you enter Siro's is the powerful smell of porta potties. Why the hell do they keep these things right next to the entrance? It smell like a camp ground there. Next it's the same band belting out the same old stupid shit that everybody has heard a million times. It is not interesting or fun, but alas one must endure it. On this Thursday evening the crowd was guys in pointy shoes and embroidered jeans, fit with gray hair, once divorced, 50 going on thirty five acting twenty six. There was talk and gawk, cigars and bars. I hung around for about five minutes looking for my friend. I had already been to Siro's once this year and that methinks that was enough. read more

Most people come to Siro's for post-track drinks and for the raw bar out back, and for the people watching. All of these things are great. They also have a piano bar inside that's a ton of fun provided you've been steadily imbibing their strong (and pricy!) cocktails all night long. So we decided to see whether the restaurant lived up to the hype, expecting it to be shaky at best. WE WERE WRONG. I started with a seared fois gras "BLT" - the fois was perfectly seared and served with pancetta, tomato, lightly dressed lettuce, and a small ring of brioche. There was a sizeable hunk of fois on the plate - probably 3-4 ounces - and it was delicious. Didn't even need the rest of the appetizer, just give me that fois and I'm happy. Delicious. Ordered the rack of lamb, which the server said is their "trademark" dish. Whoooo, I can see why. The lamb (ordered medium-rare) was cooked to perfection. It was well-seasoned, enough to let the lamb's natural flavor shine through. It was served with a rosemary sauce, scalloped potatoes, and baby asparagus, but the meat was the star. The drinks we ordered before dinner were well-made, and the wine we ordered with our meal was great. Service was good, not great; we weren't regulars, but we could see how the regulars - owners, trainers - were treated, so that was a bit uncomfortable. I wouldn't say our service suffered, just that others clearly received preferential treatment. But honestly, we were tourists. We love racing and come to Saratoga every year, but we aren't part of the inner circle. That's fine. That said, I'd come back to Siro's for dinner again. The food was spectacular and the menu had many other items I want to try. It will definitely become an annual stop on our vacation to the Spa. read more

You have to give Siro's 4 stars based on the scene alone. It's THE post-track place to be for people watching and further imbibing. It's just a big old jumble of poor people who lost all their cash at the track, and rich people who just bought another pony in a claiming stakes. You can smoke and drink under the patio awnings, there is a band in back and the drinks are crappy. But you don't come for the drinks...you come for the scene. After a day of thrills at the wonderful Saratoga Race Track, this is a fun place to go and have a few drinks and listen to the live music. Went there right after the 10th race and it was just starting to hop. We ate in the main restaurant but walked thru the bar and checked out the patio. Siro's is quite the scene, and I mean that in a good way. Very fun. The service in the restaurant was excellent, the menu was excellent and very wide ranging, and the wine list was excellent. I had the swordfish and a crab cake starter. The Swordfish was very thick and perfectly cooked. The crab cake was huge. I tried my son's steak and it was cooked perfectly. I'm not sure how someone can write a review that's less than 4 stars for Siro's unless they have an ax to grind. I would say the only negative is that it's only open during the season. We came to Siro's for a late dinner during a race weekend. Service was outstanding, our server was very personable and quick with the drinks and courses. They were out of the 2 dishes that I was interested in - but as I said, we came in late. I got the sirloin instead which was amazing, and I heard a lot of compliments from the crowd who opted for the lamb. The bar was small but nice, and there was a very talented piano player. Two things that make this a 4 star rating are the service, the incredible professionalism of Michael managing things at the door and the beautiful and sweet Brianna at the bar. Absolutely horrible dinner/evening out. Wasn't even just our table that had bad service after speaking with other tables next to us. It completely Ruined our night out in Saratoga. Reservation was moved from 8 to 8:30 to 8:45. Took an HOUR to get a salad that was forgotten and the staff never checked on us. When we finally said something to the staff they said our order was lost. After 2 plus hours we finally finished our meal and it was too late to enjoy the night in Saratoga. The staff did discount our meal, but I would not recommend this place or go back again. The customer service that we received for such a "reputable place" was absolutely horrible. My first trip to Saratoga Race Track was a memorable event. Now I see why my brothers' have been coming to this race track every summer since the 1970's. And just as memorable was our dinner at Ciro's...simply incredible! We sat in the dining room and after a few appetizers, which included crab cakes and artichoke spears along with a caesar salad, we then enjoyed feasting on a Rib Eye, Seared Scallops and Lemon Chicken....so good and flavorable from beginning to end. We ate here last night, HUGE disappointment. We have been dinning at Siros for 10 years + Clearly there are new owners & the kitchen staff is new, but the management is hands down the culprit. Besides waiting over 30 minutes for a 7:45pm reservation, we were finally seated only to be approached by "a manager" that we needed to move tables, overly apologetic with the promise of a wonderful bottle of champagne for our troubles. We complied, new table new manager although the promise of some "bubbles" remained. We ate our mediocre meal along with a hefty serving of bad service. But the promise was never fulfilled. The truth is we can buy our own champagne, but the fact that no one knew what they were doing and the food was unpalatable adds insult to injury. Too many chiefs not enough Indians" in this place. As someone who works in the restaurant business, I will say that this place has the formula down. The food & service were absolutely impeccable. Our waiter was top notch, he was t super friendly and accommodating. Even the bus boys were friendly and entertaining to talk to. Simply amazing service, no stone was left unturned. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten. We started with the scallops, nothing else I can say except the best scallop I have ever eaten, period. I had the lamb for my entree and my girlfriend had the sword fish. I was a big fan of the swordfish, but the lamb was out of this world good. Its literally hard to put into words how good this food was, and I've eaten at a ton of great restaurants in my time. The only downside was that the portion of lamb was a little small for the price, but the swordfish was definitely a big helping, as were some of the other dishes I saw around the dining room. Its also a bit pricey, but what do you expect. If you are up in the capital region, go eat here as soon as possible, but expect to pay for what you get. read more
