Wouldn't change a thing about my experience! The vibe was excellent, super friendly staff and the interior decor is exactly what I want in my home! It's beautiful! I had the Friends with Benedicts, tomato bisque, and an espresso martini, everything was absolutely perfect! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, definitely recommend a reservation for the weekend! Can't wait to stop by here again!

Busy place, reservations recommended. Staff extremely friendly and helpful we had John, super nice guy. Great drink selection, very nicest prepared and served. I had the Adult Grilled Cheese, really nice, various cheeses and grilled onions. Lots of other good selections on the menu, looking forward to trying something else on next visit.

Back again! This time for a burger at the bar and OMG! This is easily the best burger I have had in months! Served lightning fats at 3pm with the place kickin' on a rainy Spring Saturday. More proof that this is a great place to eat BUT the fries were soggy- inedible. Sub them out if possible. I keep coming back over and over though. I don't come for the fries... Cheers!!!

We were in town with my daughter and her family, so I left the dining plans to her. This was one of her selected restaurants for the few days we were in Saratoga Springs, and it was good. My problem is that the brunch menu was rather limited (my opinion only), and there were enough things that I didn't like or didn't want, so that the only item I wanted was an omelette on their "specials" page, made with veggies and brie cheese. Unfortunately, I learned that I don't like brie in an omelette, even with as much as I like brie. Just didn't work for me, but that's not a strike against the restaurant. It's just my preference. My strike against the restaurant was a somewhat limited menu. Otherwise, everything seemed well prepared and tasty, but for the brie part. I don't even remember what all was in my omelette. Usually, I take a picture of any specialty menu, because I know I won't remember specifics by the time I write the reviews, but this time, I forgot to take that photo. All I have is a photo of the omelette as it arrived. It might've had spinach, mushrooms, red peppers and/or onions, which are my typical go-to omelette veggies, but who knows. I only remember the brie because I didn't like it, lol. My husband ordered their grilled cheese and liked it just fine. I do like grilled cheese, but I always feel guilty after eating them, so I tend to not order them when we go out. If we ever return to Saratoga Springs, I probably wouldn't come here for brunch. Their dinner menu seems a bit more ambitious, so I would check that out. I guess I'm just too fussy about brunch type items. It was packed here and apparently is quite popular and well-liked.

So full. The chicken was the best part. Truffle fries with the aioli were slamming. And obviously nothing is better than some crispy tater tots. Staff was fun and attentive. That cappuccino saved my life after a night of drinking after a wedding. Highly recommend. Ambiance is old and rustic but in a good way. Loved the lighting.

Ambiance is so warm and welcoming. We were seated promptly. All our dishes were plentiful and very fresh ingredients! My avocado toast was delicious on sourdough bread. My friends' potatoes with grilled vegetables were perfectly seasoned to accompany their entrees of BLT sandwich with a pesto aioli & and a bacon omelette.

My husband and I loved The Merc when it opened about four years ago. Cool albeit limited menu and very good service. Not only did we frequently patronize this charming restaurant on our own, we often brought visiting family and friends here. I have been giving The Merc high ratings. We hadn't been there in awhile so it was my top pick yesterday for brunch, and I recommended this restaurant to our friends who were visiting from Lake Placid. The restaurant was telling people who didn't have a reservation like we did that there was a one hour wait. About four tables were empty when we arrived. Our server and drinks were fine but the food was not. I ordered a Special, Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. The accompanying fries, which I had requested "crisp to almost burnt" came as cold (yes, COLD), wilted and inedible. The Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese (a sandwich) was an indescribable mess that had to be eaten with a fork. My husband's meal (a breakfast Bennie) was barely warm. He did not eat his potatoes, either. We believe our food had been sitting out in the kitchen way too long. If my husband and I had been there alone, I would have sent back my meal. But our new friends were also business associates in the hospitality industry and I didn't want to make a scene. So, I am dropping my review from four to three stars. And with so many new places in town, we may not return for awhile.

Came here for a farewell brunch on the last morning of our girls trip to Saratoga Springs. 7 very tired and exhausted girls asked for all the coffee and/or Bloody Marys and got a pretty even split of breakfast and lunch food. Before I get to the food, I have to mention how cute this spot is. It's right on the main ave with some outdoor seating and lots of indoor space. Our big group was not cramped in or smushed right next to other tables. There are plants everywhere and it's got a great cozy feel, especially for how large the space is. I got the oat milk latte and loved that it came with a little sprinkling of cinnamon on top. It was exactly what I needed before the 3 hour drive that followed brunch. And because I love a good skillet, I got the no huevos rancheros but actually ended up adding the huevo on top. I'm not a vegetarian but loveeee a big breakfast filled with veggies and eggs. The soy chorizo was actually delicious and the portion was gigantic. All on a bed of quinoa, it was a very good start to the day (and also end since I took the leftovers home and had them for dinner). A great spot for breakfast or lunch with a big menu of options. Service was very kind and as fast as could be expected on a busy weekend morning. Definitley recommend making a res here.

Can't beat the flavors of brunch at The Merc! Started with mimosas, and then got the No Huevos, a vegan take on Huevos Rancheros. The mix of sweet potatoes, soy chorizo, avocado, and pico de gallo made the perfect blend of flavors. We sat at the cutest outdoor table on the small patio, and we could not have asked for a better experience!

We didn't have to wait long. I think maybe like 10 minutes. It's a small quaint restaurant on Phila Street not far off of Broadway. We walked here from our hotel (Hilton) as parking anywhere/everywhere in Saratoga can be a challenge. There is street parking right in front of Sweet Mimi's but it'll probably be taken so you should probably just walk. And you'll appreciate the walk to help burn off a few calories of Sweet Mimi's delicious offerings. (And there are plenty to partake in.) We enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Mediterranean Omelette. We did not leave disappointed. In fact, our tastebuds and tummies were so happy with our choices. The omelette actually came with the same challah bread that the french toast was made from. If I lived closer, I'd be buying that challah bread every week. It's so freakin' good! The french toast is HUGE! Really... you should share it. The several bites I took were incredibly satisfying. The cinnamon was just right. And because it was already sweet... we opted to forgo the syrup. The french toast also came with a bunch of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries!! The med omelette was filled with sausage, spinach and tomatoes. I loved every bite. I don't know when we'll be back tin Saratoga... but I will definitely be coming back to Sweet Mimi's when I do.

I am not sure who I spoke to but the woman on the line did not sound the friendliest. She asked if I had her on speaker and I replied yes. I was on the road driving so I was not about to hold my phone. I then pulled over so she could hear me better. When I arrived it was busy. Payment was promptly collected from me and I had to wait an additional half an hour. When I got my margarita pie home, I found the sourdough crust to be dry as well as burnt. Also it lacked a good amount of cheese and the sauce was very sour. Now mind you I have had numerous pies from here and have tried most varieties from their seasonal offerings as well as the always available ones and they were all delish. You can imagine my surprise as I am not one to complain about cost as I know quality when I see it. I called and a woman answered saying this is Mary and I asked if I had 9 Miles East and she said no, you have the wrong number. So I called again, this time asking for the manager. The woman on the other end says this is Mary and listened to what I had to say about my margarita pie. She promptly apologized and said it was a busy night and she did not check the pizza as it was boxed. She then offered a refund which I appreciated and took my card number and phone number telling me she would text when she processed the refund. Two days later and still no follow up. I had errands to run, so I stopped in and spoke to Gordon at the front counter. He again apologized and told me Mary who I spoke to was one of the owners. I was not very happy to hear that customer service here is completely lacking. He then asked what he could do to make it up and gave me a refund on the spot. It made me unhappy to have to go in person and explain what happened once more. I have been a long time customer of 9 Miles East and have even subscribed to their home delivery and I mostly enjoyed patronizing them regularly as I really do like their food. However this experience has left me sad that I will have to move on. Good food and service really does go hand in hand.

After a long day of moving my kid into college, we went to Hattie's for dinner. Convenient public garage less than a block away. $2/hr. It might have been over the top, but it felt great. We sat outdoors in the alley which was far more charming than 'alley denotes. Served by Brian, we were taken care of like regulars. The food was great, truly. We had gumbo and jambalaya which were out of this world. Definitely heavy on the heat, but we loved both dishes. Both came out in a hot cast iron skillet which kept the food hot for quite awhile, which is a very nice touch. Dessert was similarly satisfying. We had pecan pie and banana pudding. This is a tragedy. And that is not a word I use lightly either…read more What kind of person buys a gem like Mrs. London's and doesn't take the time to learn the recipes, master the craft, and maintain the standards of what was once arguably the best boulangerie and patisserie in America? Seriously, there is someone here to blame. What is their name? I want to know. Sure, it's not a civil or criminal offense. But it's a crime against food. It's a crime against the people of Saratoga Springs. And it's just plane offensive. I regret if anyone was driven to try Mrs. London's based on my previous glowing reviews. I am so sorry. I had no idea. But I was just there this morning. I gazed into the pastry case at the croissants, and my heart sank. I felt sick. The croissants looked like something you would see in an airport. I think the croissants at Costco might be better. These were flat, flabby, and pale things. Far from the perfect, golden, flaky, structured, glistening beauties of the past. And this isn't about fond recollections. I have receipts. Photos from the past and pictures of the present. It's night and day. If the new owners aren't going to preserve Mrs. London's food, they should have the decency to put someone else's name on the joint. I too asked about the breads, and was told "their baker retired". Fortunately, Michael London taught other people to bake amazing artisan bread, and his legacy lives on elsewhere. Unfortunately, nobody at the shop bearing his name bothered to pick up the torch. What a shame. It is so sad. I am literally heart broken. This was one of my favorite bakeries in the country. I went out of my way to make a special stop in my limited time passing through the region. But I suppose nothing lasts forever, and this is a valuable reminder of that unfortunate fact. My days visiting Mrs. London's are over. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience. Perhaps the hot chocolate is still good, and the decor is still lovely.
