Mark, Jose and the SirReel team are great to work with. They're very helpful and accommodating with any project or budget. They're also great with correcting any issue with equipment and vehicles WHEN you communicate it to them; before and during the production.. I'm not 100% sure who any of these other reviewers are that gave SirReel those crappy reviews. But, its our job (the renters and Truck PA's) to double-check, even triple-check everything before heading to your production set. You'll never make it in the 399 if all you're good at is bitching and complaining. Thanks, SirReel!!

I also own and operate a turnkey entertainment agency with an excellent reputation. Context: I was hired to perform at a restaurant in Glendale with a 9 piece band. We came prepared and ready to go. However, the sound guy (Paul) arrived late and had a horrible attitude. You need to understand as an engineer / audio tech, the artist is YOUR priority. Take care of them, and you'll have a great show. What does that look like? Set up on time, ring out the system (monitors and mains) , gainstage your mics and instruments, etc. What did Paul do? : scoffed at our tech request, made condescending remarks any time we asked if we can make adjustments, and just made our experience very uncomfortable and disappointing . If Paul was my employee/contractor under my company, I would be embarrassed and ashamed at the lack of professionalism and interpersonal skills. I would like to think this company is better than this and maybe Paul is simply misrepresenting Cosmos AVL in the worst way. I will never hire Paul nor will I ever recommend my industry and corporate clients to this company.

Although my project was not too big, and more or less simple, the service I received was exceptional. Svet agreed to meet me at the venue to see the space and figure out what exactly I would need. I was then able to go to their showroom to see samples of what it would look like. They worked with my budget, showed up on time for the day of the event, and set everything up very smoothly. Having the lights was an absolute must and created the whole ambiance of my party! I am extremely satisfied with their customer service and products. I highly recommend this business and will definitely be using them again! A++++

Bad Communication…read more sent friend across town after negotiating a price through Facebook Marketplace, only to discover that the agreed price somehow magically transformed back into the original listing price the moment it was time to pay. The listing was $339. I offered $280. The seller countered at $298 and explicitly stated, "298 is the lowest I can go for the FLX4." Fair enough. That's called negotiating. I accepted the understanding that the item would be sold for $298. I then asked for the address and business hours, which were provided. At no point during any of these conversations did anyone say, "By the way, the negotiated price does not include tax," or "there will be additional card processing fees." When my friend arrived to pick up the item, suddenly tax and card fees appeared out of nowhere. The final total landed right back around $339, which just so happened to be the exact original Marketplace listing price. Maybe that's a coincidence. Maybe the stars aligned perfectly. Maybe after negotiating from $339 to $298, adding tax and fees just happened to bring the price right back to where it started. From a customer's perspective, it felt like a classic bait-and-switch. The negotiated discount existed only until it was time to actually pay. What made the experience worse was the attitude when I called to clarify the situation. Instead of acknowledging how misleading the pricing appeared, I was met with a lecture about how famous the store is and how they've been around since the 1990s. Respectfully, how long a business has existed has nothing to do with whether pricing was communicated clearly. A business that's been operating for decades should be even better at disclosing final costs upfront. The product itself may be fine. The issue is transparency. If the real total is going to be significantly higher than the negotiated number, disclose that before someone makes plans, sends a friend, or drives to the store. Clear communication prevents bad reviews. Unfortunately, clear communication was exactly what was missing here.

Incredible experience …read more.. Not only did this team go above and beyond to ensure that I could rent what I needed to for a short-term, out-of-town engagement, but they literally spent an hour walking me through how to correctly hook up the equipment, suggesting better options, even helping to fix an error message that was coming up with the software that for sure would've stopped me in my tracks on my own on location. They handle much much bigger jobs than what I needed - literally just a remote recording set up - they carry everything necessary for full on production (TV, and movie sets), large-scale remote events, to individual in-home studio needs. They have an outstanding reputation - which is why I had been referred over to them - but not in my wildest dreams did I imagine that they would be as kind, accommodating, and patient as they were... For the record I'd actually called another "top rental house" prior (LOCATION SOUND - see review) that was located even closer to my office... but the person there in rentals was so abrupt that instinctively it just felt like it would be a wrong decision; part of what you need when you rent expensive equipment of course is great customer service... so that if something goes wrong and you need assistance, you know that you've got it. Cannot recommend highly enough. Definitely wanna call ahead to make sure that if you need tech assistance their tech expert is in the house and not on location helping someone remote, and to make sure of course that what you need has not been rented out to some large scale production during the days that you will need it. Must call! Thank you Kathryn Cory B.

The exterior walls are instagram worthy as well. There is also a secure gated parking lot with direct access to the studio for easy load out and they have equipment and even some set pieces that you can rent. In addition to being beautiful this studio is CLEAN. The bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is clean, the Cyc wall is flawless, etc. There are makeup stations with lighted mirrors though they are a bit short, better suited for talent doing their own makeup than for a makeup artist to use as a station. TLDR; this studio is beautiful, classy and functional. If you have clients that you want to really impress then this is the space to rent for your photoshoot or event.

Rented a 26 ft diesel truck from Penske and had a terrible experience…read more I specifically told them I had never driven a diesel truck and asked for full instructions. They failed to mention something critical: the truck requires DEF (diesel exhaust fluid). When the DEF ran low, the truck lost power on the highway and eventually became undrivable. I contacted Penske multiple times during the issue -- no response. A roadside mechanic later told me I just needed DEF -- something that could have been avoided entirely if Penske had done their job. On top of that, the truck had multiple mechanical failures (lift gate and engine issues), causing major delays and extra costs. Then Penske sent me a bill blaming me for the DEF issue -- even charging $66 for fluid that costs about $25 in stores. Poor maintenance, poor communication, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.

    - Unprofessional Customer Service and Poor Equipment…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Penske Truck Rental location in Sun Valley. Based on how I was treated, I will not be returning once this rental is complete. I rented a truck for two days and later needed to extend my rental. When Penske attempted to process the payment for the extension, the card on file was declined due to an issue with that particular card. As soon as I became aware of the problem, I immediately contacted the location and provided a different card so the payment could be processed. I was actively communicating with the office and working to resolve the issue. Instead of handling what is a very common payment issue professionally, Mayra informed me that they could not extend the rental without payment and that if I didn't pay, the truck would be reported as stolen and the police would be called. I understand Penske has policies regarding payment and rental extensions, and I am not disputing their right to enforce those policies. What I do dispute is how quickly the conversation escalated to threatening law enforcement when I was cooperating, communicating, and actively providing an alternative payment method. At no point did I refuse to pay, ignore their calls, or indicate that I intended to keep the truck without authorization. As a Black business owner, I found that especially disturbing. I don't appreciate being made to feel criminalized over a temporary payment issue that I was in the process of resolving. Companies should recognize that telling a Black customer that they're going to call the police is something that carries significant weight. Given the history between law enforcement and Black Americans, those words should never be used casually. Whether or not that was the intent, that is how the interaction made me feel. Adding to the frustration, Mayra called me three separate times and mispronounced my company's name on every single call. While that may seem minor, it reflected a lack of professionalism. If you're working with commercial customers, the least you can do is correctly address the business you're calling. My company is a new transportation business that's working hard to establish itself. We've already spent over $1,500 with Penske and signed the rental agreement. We weren't looking for special treatment--we were looking for professionalism, respect, and cooperation while resolving a routine payment issue. Ironically, I wasn't even planning to complain about the truck itself. I was simply going to finish my route and move on. However, after the way I was treated, it's worth mentioning that the equipment hasn't been impressive either. The truck I was given has over 150,000 miles on it. The front-end alignment is poor, requiring constant steering correction just to stay in the lane. The truck is governed at around 70 mph, making it extremely difficult to safely pass slower traffic or stay on schedule in a commercial environment. On top of that, the onboard ELD system is overly intrusive, constantly chiming and issuing alerts that are more distracting than helpful while driving. Instead of providing reliable equipment and treating customers like valued business partners, this experience left me feeling like I was driving worn-out equipment while being treated like a criminal over a payment issue that I was actively resolving. What makes this even more disappointing is that I am still in possession of the truck and actively completing my route, yet I already know I won't be renting from this location again. No customer should feel intimidated while simply trying to honor their rental agreement. Customer service is just as important as the trucks themselves. Unfortunately, this location failed on both. There is a significant difference between enforcing company policy and treating a paying customer with dignity and respect. I will return the truck as agreed, but I will also be taking my business elsewhere. There are too many other rental companies competing for commercial customers to tolerate this level of service. Penske Sun Valley has lost my business.
