Don't get me wrong the food is AMAZING. No complaints there. I have been here twice. Both times my waitress was sweet, you know the small town girl type. The first time we got our food in a reasonable time, and it was great. The second time... it took AN HOUR after we ordered. May have just been that night but a fair warning if you are starved or in a hurry maybe not the place to go. However. The food was amazing, so if you have the time. maybe check it out! read more

We stayed at the Southern Hotel which was walking distance to several restaurants. We tried this because my husband wanted pasta. The food was great and the atmosphere was cool. We had a sweet waitress. I tried the Cajun pasta and my husband had the baked spaghetti. They give Generous portions and I had the all you can eat but only had 1 serving. Nope. Our food took over an hour and was unremarkable. The famous onion rings were undercooked and bland. The waitress claimed they could only cook burgers well done. When asked why, she said something about the "staff being young" by which maybe she meant "they come frozen that way", who knows. Sometimes restaurants make up for the lack of flavor or quality with abundance but, alas, this was not the case here - a small handful of breaded fries accompanied small, salty sandwiches. My kid enjoyed his pizza but it tasted like a generic pie from the frozen case. Not even a good frozen pizza. I got the baby a kid's menu salad bar. He wouldn't eat much so I sampled some of the food - eggs, olives and veggies tasted rotten. The best thing here was the bottle of Hoptimistic which was, wait for it..... $4.50! Haha. read more

This place lived up to the other reviews on here. It had great sandwiches and the salad bar was one of the cleanest I've ever seen. Very pleased with the food. Service was a little slow, but it was right at lunch time, so they were a little crowded. I will definitely visit this place again when I'm in St. Gen!!! read more

We love this cute little restaurant in downtown Ste. Genevieve! My family goes to Ste. Gen at least once a year to visit my grandmother, and Sirros is always on the food agenda! Their pan pizza and onion rings are wonderful. Be forewarned, the large order of onion rings is enough for 6-8 people! They have an extensive menu. We've always wanted to venture out from our usual order, but it's tough with pizza that's so good... With somewhat limited dining options in this quaint and charming town, Sirros won't disappoint! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Arrived shortly after noon and the place was fairly busy and COMPLETELY understaffed! They had beer advertisements up for beer they didn't stock and items on the menu they no longer served. There was 6 of us and it took almost 2 hours to get our food which was just barely above McDonalds quality. Then it took another 30-45 minutes to pay. Unless you have ALL DAY to waste for shitty food STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHITHOLE. read more

We found this to be a very solid option for casual dining in Ste Gen. they had some local beers available which was a plus, but it would've been nice to see them on tap (hint hint!). The menu had a number of options, including pizz, salads, a sandwiches (I forgive them for calling these samiches) and Italian dishes. Food was good and service was attentive... Their menu ranges from pasta, pizza, burgers and other sandwiches. Their pizzas are really good, but it's not really a pizza place. Everything else is okay. Nothing crazy spectacular, or wow I gotta go back for that. However, I do find myself going there on occasion. It's a cool looking place with rugged decor, but the menu just seems to be missing something. Overall, not bad. Just okay. 3 stars. read more

My husband and I make our annual trip to St. Gen every December and we always visit here as well. If you like onion rings, you MUST try them here. They will melt in your mouth and are even better with the house ranch. Sadly I've given up fried foods and I missed them during this year's trip. They make a good pasta con broc as well. The atmosphere is casual but visually stimulating. On a cold day of shopping, make your way inside and sit upstairs where it's easily 5 degrees warmer. You'll find the staff friendly and accommodating. read more

Came in today with a group of 5 adults and 5 young adult boys (18s). The boys sat at a booth and the adults at an adjacent table. Different sections, it seems which was too much for them to handle the bill so different wait staff. The guys got their drinks and placed orders before the adults were even waited on even though we all sat at the same time. Kids got food first and we're done eating, so we asked where our food was. Other tables (including larger ones) had ordered, gotten food, and were leaving! Finally, well over an hour later we got most of the food. My sandwich (basically a grilled cheese) came and was totally wrong. Sent it back and relatively quickly got the correct replacement. Started eating and found a chewy part - big piece of paper! Don't even want to start about the bill. "Wings" - ok, just breaded chicken tenders, but actually not bad. Sandwich - too greasy and mistakes disgusting. Should have guessed there might be a problem - lunch on a Sunday in a small town and place never was really crowded. Will not be returning. read more

A few days late! This place is absolutely fantastic. Pizzas are made fresh, the salad bar was amazing, the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful... Our waitress was sweet and helpful, seemed like a college girl (I can't remember her name, but I think it was Jenna or Jamie?) and gave us lots of wonderful recommendations. My husband tried the pasta con broccoli and I had a French dip with crosscut fries. The only thing I would have changed would have been getting extra cheese on my "samich"!! The pricing was reasonable too! If you're coming into Sainte Genevieve, be sure to stop by! It was a little hard to find but it sits on Merchant street next to the marquis sign for the Orris! read more

Here now and getting ready to leave. 3 tables have come and gone and we are still waiting for food. While food did arrive as I was getting ready to post, we didn't get the salad that came with the meal. Waitress did comp a dessert but we waited for an hour for what I would call barely acceptable pasta. I'd suggest you eat somewhere else. read more

Ate there tonight and had the worst spaghetti I have ever paid for. The word Italian and Sirros do not go together. The sauce tasted like a can of generic crushed tomatoes, a little basil and a dash of garlic. Had three half cooked meatballs all for about 9 dollars. Have ate there before and was always ok with the food. Next time I want Italian I will go to st. Louis or open a jar of ragu. read more

Went there today 9/3/18. It took the waitress 15 minutes to bring us to glasses of water and take our order. No it was not that busy. Then the food was not that great. They charged extra to get honey mustard on a sandwich. Do not waste your time or money. read more

DON'T BE TRICKED BY THE ONLINE PICS! First visit to St Gen so decided to try Sirros. Menu was so limited due to it being Heritage Day. The burgers, fries and baked potatoes were extremely over cooked, the soup was served in such a shallow bowl it wouldn't qualify as a cup of soup in any other restaurant - same for chicken and dumplings. Pizza was the only item edible. Lesson learned - we won't be back. Don't waste your time or $$ here!! read more

Great pizza and a top notch salad bar! Samiches are good too, but I almost always get a sausage and mushroom pizza. A definite must eat place in Ste Gen. Very generous portions and great prices! read more
