I was in a tough spot due to some miscommunication with my normal nail tech. She ended up going out of town and I desperately needed to get a fill in, so I decided to check this place out. The reviews were so-so, but good enough for me to bite the bullet and go. Since I wasn't sure how busy they'd be, I called and made an appt. I got there a little bit early and was greeted by Gina who waved for me to come to her station. Upon sitting down, I told her I'd like a fill-in, showed her my design and away we went. As she's doing her nail things, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I was wondering whether she was going to do it to my liking, what the design was going to look like and etc. All my fears went away rather quickly once I saw how thorough she was in filing my nail. The shape I have isn't your standard but she nailed it and I couldn't have been more pleased. The salon is incredibly clean and I really liked the way the pedicure chairs are positioned (see picture). The pricing was comparable to what I'd normally pay for this design, so that's always a plus. All in all, Gina did a phenomenal job and came through when I needed it most. Very clean facility with very comfortable massage chairs for the pedicure. However, the positive comments end there. I paid extra for the Himalayan rock sea salt pedicure. The hot rocks were not clean, they were just sitting in a bowl. She rubbed the hot rocks on my shins and calves so aggressively I have bruises! There was no salt scrub. I was anticipating some sort of exfoliation but it was just these dirty hot rocks. The polish is all over my cuticles. I would not recommend this nail salon and I won't be returning. read more

I've never been to a worse nail salon in my life! I came here on November 1st for the first time on my birthday to get Acrylic dip nails. Amy did my nails. Upon leaving I told my sister how sloppy and uneven my nails were filed and how bubbly the dip and polish was. I decided to just deal with it because they still looked "fine" 2 days later I was getting dressed and my left thumb nail tore off! I was furious and planned to go back and get it fixed. The next day (yesterday) my middle finger nail on my right hand tore off while I was opening a car door and today out of nowhere I noticed my pointer finger on my left hand was chipped. I've had acrylics before and used to get them all the time I know what a good nail job looks like and this was not it! I'm so disappointed and dissatisfied at this service I spent $40+$8 tip on. I'm happy with how my nails look after my basic pedicure. (I'm writing this as a former manicurist/cosmetologist so I know the service expectations). Overall the service was okay. I sat in the pedi chair for 30 mins waiting (which was totally fine). It would make more sense to let your guests soak their feet while waiting, but that wasn't the case. The massage chair was definitely the best part, so that made waiting better. It would also be nice to let the guests know about how long they are waiting for their service. When the service started, my feet soaked for about a minute total. The lady was nice and professional and did a good job. My only disappointment was the massage. It was good, but should have been longer. On each foot she spent about a minute. I was disappointed in the massage and experience overall considering it's the most expensive basic pedicure I've had in St. Louis. I probably won't be back, considering there are other 3 star, less expensive locations around. read more

I am a long time visitor of this nail salon. In the past I would come and go. Most recently, I have been with them consistently for six months. The facility is clean. The ambiance is great. They do an excellent job with gel nails and acrylic nails. My concern is that they have new young girls in the shop and they are not good with pedicures. They are in a learning phase which I understand. However, their work product is not equivalent to the cost of a professional pedicure. So, I began by having pedicures at other nail salons. On my latest visit to the shop, the owner (Amy) has a very unprofessional tone. It's as if she is fussing or yelling. I have a great relationship with Tom and Lucy. Had such an amazing service that I decided that I needed to write this the minute I walked out. First of all they took us an hour before they closed and stayed late to service my two friends and I. Which was greatly appreciated! Second of all, I got a gel manicure and a step above a classic pedicure and it was to die for. I am from chicago in an environment where the turnover is high and the service is short and quick. So me coming to this place I expected to same but had an even better experience. They took their time on the pedicure and my feet feel amazing. Then my gel manicure was pretty fast and then the arm massage I got at the end almost made me fall asleep. The staff were super nice, friendly, and made conversation that made the afternoon enjoyable. After a long few weeks this was the PERFECT place to come and wind down. I used to love this nail shop because they were clean and very attentive. I was always impressed with how good my nails and feet looked. The last two visits within the last 2-3 months have been very disappointing. The gentleman did a poor job on my pedicure from scraping them with some type of tool leaving the surface rough. My feet were nice and smooth before I went in and now they feel extremely rough. The toe nail polish was messy and spread outside of my cuticles and I did not notice it until I got home. I did not have a good experience. The girl did not understand how to cut my toe nails down. She had to ask the guys everything. She barely knew how to put the lining in the tub. She struggled doing that for 5 minutes. Then she started the pedi and I asked her for their colors and you have to pick that from the wall which she didn't explain prior to me sitting down. I can honestly say that this nail salon is fabulous! From the moment I entered the salon, I was greeting warmly and asked if I wanted water. I was given the menu and not pressured to spend more money. She paid real precise attention to painting my nails and toes, she did not under or over paint. I've been to three different nail salons on olive boulevard in the past six months (from September to February) and this is the only salon where I know my gel manicure and pedicure will last long. The head lady in charge would do my acrylic dip manicure and never once gave me a hand and finger massage and charged ridiculous prices, she put on tips that were not needed and charged full price and not going by which nails needed them. I did however got a gel manicure by one of the other girls Mickey and she did a wonderful job, very attentive. I asked why she couldn't do my acrylic manicure because I had made the appointment with her, and I was told she didn't have the experience. I walked into Amor Nails & Spa requesting a gel manicure. I specifically pointed out that I had a nail that has a permanent split in it and would like to keep an extra protective coat of either gel powder or silk wrap on that particular nail. Tony was giving me the mani and assured me he would take care of my request. As I watched him when he started working on my thumb nail, I asked again if he would treat my nail with some extra strength and he said that I don't need it, my nail is fine. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Then to add to my dismay, the manicure he gave me is sloppy. The sides of my nails are bubbly and he didn't clean up the polish on my cuticles after applying the gel. If I had the time, I'd go back and have my nails redone. read more

I had an excellent experience at this nail salon. This was my second visit but first pedicure. I opted for the Jelly Pedicure and it was marvelous. Lucy was my technician and took her time. The service was definitely enjoyable and I will return. My only suggestion would be that they could have started the pedicure earlier as I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I could have enjoyed soaking my feet while waiting for them to finish with the customers who were there before me. Other than that, a great service. I'll be back. read more

They treated me very badly here. I was a regular customer that developed a relationship with one of the nail techs. She did excellent work that always stood the test of time. One evening I was running 15 minutes late and I texted the woman that did my nails. Apparently, one of the employees was looking at the wrong day and booked my nail tech at the same time. When I arrived, she thought the incident occurred because I was late for my appointment and because I contacted the nail tech directly rather than the business itself. She didn't realize she had been looking at the wrong day. She proceeded to yell at me and tell me it was all my fault in front of the entire salon. I apologized for not calling the business directly and she never acknowledged her error on scheduling on the wrong day. During another incident, my nail tech was going to come in on her day off to accommodate a special event that I had. When I called the salon to let them know due to the above incident, they talked to me in a horrible manner and that day I told my favorite nail tech (after searching for years) I couldn't visit her salon anymore. 3 months later, we finally reunited and she has since left that salon. read more

I was traveling on business and found a nearby salon. I requested a gel mani and pedi. I can honestly say it was the worst I've ever received at a professional salon. Too few layers on the gel mani for the price, although the tech did a good job on the cuticles. The tech that did my toes...oh my. The cuticles were poorly trimmed, the polish was lumpy not shiny and smooth, and the polish was applied as if a 5 year old was painting my nails. No care staying on the nail or even touching up the misses. If I'm back in town I won't venture into this salon again. The owner Amy did my nails and they were beautiful. Less than 5 days the paint started to chip so I contacted them and she told me she would fix it with no charge. Mind you I live 45 mins away but my school is 20 mins so I was like she's willing to fix it with no charge. Got there and she told me they tried a new product on me and that was the cause of the chipping. She went back to their old product. Fast forward to today, I take my hand out of my pocket and the pointer finger has no nail. It just fell off! No pain and I hadn't hit it against anything. Oh yeah and the paint started to chip again smh! I called and spoke with Amy and told her what happened. She told me she would fix it so I decide I would let her fix but wouldn't be returning for future service cause I live too far to be driving back and forth due to poor quality. I was stuck in traffic for almost an hour and finally arrived for her to tell me I'm going to have to pay because it's been 15 days. She knew who I was on the phone and I asked her why she didn't tell me that over the phone because I wouldn't have come. My mother and I got our nail done the same time but the husband did my moms nail and her nail have no issue. I am very disappointed and now I have to drive back home and I am currently stuck in traffic. I have never experienced chipped paint or a nail falling off in 2 weeks. I don't even have any new growth yet. So no I wouldn't recommend this nail shop. read more

WOW!! Super impressed. After moving to the area and visiting several salons, I finally stumbled into this one. What a breathe of fresh air! The salon was very clean with a relaxing atmosphere and top-notch service. They use sanitized/new tools, they take their time and are not rushed even if customers are waiting. I also witnessed them telling customers it might be better to come back since the wait would be a little longer (my experience has been they will lie about your wait just to get your business... seems this salon cares more about keeping your business.) Oh and best massage ever, my pedicure was perfect and everyone is very nice with minimal interruptions or distractions from them talking on the phone or to each other, etc. Best experience I have ever had getting a pedicure and I have been getting them for years!
