I never asked for a blow out, but she charged me $40. Everything lasted barely 30 minutes, and on top she didn't even layer my hair like I asked. You really have to be vocal and adamant about how you want your hair which I usually just am not. Mind you it's not even like she asked me if I wanted the blow out straight or curled b/c she just decided to do the easy 9 min straight blow out and charge $40 after the fact. So I ended up getting a shampoo, straight hair cut (no layers), another shampoo (I had dandruff so she re-shampooed after the haircut) & a blow out for $65 (not incl Groupon since it's listed as $25+ for a haircut). I went back in about the layer just to show my dissatisfaction, but at that point didn't even bother since she already blow dried. I'm not that type of customer, but needless to say I am unhappy. The overall price is average, but it would have been better if she was more upfront about it esp given the whole experience was barely 30min, so her blow out lasted barely 10min for $40. I've had my hair curled for the same price and that takes more time. I didn't even ask for her name nor did she tell me at the beginning from what I recall. The stylist was apparently Lourdes H. according to the text I later received from Fresha. Washing my hair was uncomfortable on my neck (weird position), and she touched my ear with the blow dryer once. She stopped like what happened b/c she didn't know. I just said, "Oh, it was hot." I did not say that the hot tool touched my ear... I can see the miscommunication but usually you would think she'd at least ask to clarify. She also didn't even ask where I part my hair which probably was my first sign that I ignored. Luckily, that was probably the only thing I was adamant about. Like don't give me a haircut with a part straight down the middle of my head. The place looked busy for a Sat at 10am, but I just didn't have a good experience. If it had been $65 for a hair cut WITH layers and a blow out maybe it would have been worth the $65 since that's what I expected. Maybe I should have had her redo it since she offered and "didn't hear me/or I wasn't clear enough", BUT at that point this is where we digress in opinions. Do u really want someone "fixing" your hair after you're clearly not satisfied or just write a review about what happened and move on. In summary I don't like feeling like I am being sold a car when getting a haircut. Be transparent with me and don't do extra services without mentioning anything when I went in there telling you what I wanted from the beginning.

The salon, once under different management, is now known as Kaketas Salons following the passing of its former owner a year and a half ago. Regrettably, the service standards have witnessed a significant decline since the change in ownership. It is disheartening that the new proprietor, despite being aware of the damage caused, has taken no corrective action and has continued to employ Erika. Furthermore, there have been allegations of Erika utilizing subpar and low-quality hair products.
