The worst experience EVER... Lourdes fried my hair!! This horrible experience happened back in 2023 when they had a special promotion on Facebook.. It took me this long to come back and give them my review.. I had boxed color on my hair when I went to Lourdes so the color didn't come out with bleaching... she applied bleach and left me there for about 35 mins... after washing and realizing the color didn't come out she applied bleach again!!! Dissappeared for a while....I have no idea if she left the shop or was having lunch or what.. but having the bleach on for so long (twice) she FRIED MY HAIR COMPLETELY!... after washing a second time my hair was falling out by the handfuls!!! And what was left was horrible completely destroyed and fired and then had the NERVE to charge me over $500 dollars This place for me is to be avoided like the plague! Seems like every time i come here i get a different experience which makes me question why I bother to go here at all. You have one staff member chasing for you to sign a document to not sue and if you dont you cannot get your nails done. You have some front desk employees who decide their loud music is optimal to the older clientele who wear hear aids or maybe suffer from an undisclose illness. But as long as their music is loud they choose to be inconsiderate. And when one complains about it oh boy here come the hair dressers and you go from club music to funeral home music. People come to get their service and want to relax away from wherever and have some peace. Probably not the nail salon to come to. And the mere fact of the dismissal. This salon is a hidden gem that should be at the top of the list! Carlie was my hair transformer! I came in just wanting a deeper, richer hair color with a nice trim so the ends of my hair were more healthy. She picked out some colors and asked which shade I was thinking and with her expertise we picked a blend of two colors. She asked if I wanted to angle the hair around my face and explained how it would help the volume in the front. She was very knowledgeable and helpful which is good because I am usually indecisive The final product turned out perfect! I love my new hair so much! Sadly, I'm going to have to drop a star from my previous review from some recent interactions/business handlings from this establishment. I came back here in July for the first time and had a great experience with Jenny for my first balayage. However, I did mention it was pretty expensive...over $250 without any consultation of the price before beginning. After leaving a positive review, the owner Mali left me a voicemail offering 10% off my next visit. I thought that was very nice, so I came back at the end of November 2020 and got a keratin treatment with Lourdes, who was also fantastic. However, my slight interaction with Mali, the owner, left me with some red flags. When I went to pay the $170 for the treatment I whipped out my handy-dandy voicemail receipt to prove that SHE had given me a 10% discount on my next visit. This lady looked at me with complete audacity like I was lying and trying to rip her off. She had no recollection of this and analyzed the voicemail several times, in my opinion, trying to find some way of getting out of it. (Or so how I felt. You could tell by her mannerisms she was annoyed.) I mean I did get the 10% off but it left a weird taste in my mouth with her handling of that. Now, fast forward to December of 2020. I was ready to get a new color for my balayage hair. In early December, I booked two weeks in advance so I could get my hair done on Dec 31st, 2020. A few days before, she calls and tells me that Jenny can't do it on the 31st and she is going to move me to the 2nd of January 2021. Unfortunately, I was unable to do anything that Saturday. We re-booked for the following Saturday, Jan 9th, 2021. I did this rebooking on Friday, Jan 1st, by the time Sunday, Jan 3rd rolled around, Mali had already canceled my balayage appointment for the upcoming Saturday with no explanation. For this reason alone, I don't think I can continue to support this establishment. I don't care for the manager here. I really do think that the ladies that work here like Jenny and Lourdes though are fantastic women. I just find it incredibly rude with all the cancellations and move around. Sorry, but I have to spread the truth here. I guess it's time to find a new salon. read more

My Mom recently had her brows micro bladed and today we both had our lips blushed with color. I ain't gonna lie, there's a reason for the saying PAIN IS BEAUTY. The topical numbing cream works for maybe the first half hour to 45 minutes but if you've got thick big lips like me, you'll start feeling the discomfort fairly quickly. Emel communicates through an app on her phone. I suggested that she make a pre & post care so she has all the information already written out and alleviates a lot of time when people are trying to understand the process. Also, she's been late the 2 times I've scheduled her 9:00 am slot & I mention this because I live in Plantation and drive all the way down to North Miami rushing to get my mother on time to the appointment. We are mindful and respectful of her time as a professional & we expect the same for our time. I detest being double booked and make sure I alert any stylist that I prefer they block out the time for me. We all have our idiosyncrasies and It's important to be clear. Emel is very sweet and attentive, she has an IG if you'd like to check her work out. That's something I'd suggest also, to put her social media profile in the flyer with her information so people can see her work. It was lovely to see Tina & Kat today. Sam was my colorist and her along with Diana Lee were straight up ambassadors creating color on my semi virgin black hair. They both made me feel comfortable in the otherwise never wrecking experience. They also had me laughing to my belly! Also got a haircut I definitely recommend Xanadu academy salon.
