This place is the biggest hidden gem I have ever come across. It has almost everything you could possibly want from burgers, taco, and Philly cheese steaks. First time at this place was curious to see what their tacos were like. Now I knew this was not an authentic " Taco place".. I tried their Pollo Loco taco and their steak taco and the elote loco side. The Pollo Loco taco is dry. The tortillas were hard and felt like they were microwaved instead of warmed up on a stove top. Pollo taco Had good amount of meat, but it lacked flavor and tasted dry. The steak taco was better, It needed more onion and cilantro. I wish they had added some hot sauces because that's probably what they needed. The limes I was given were very dry, no juice came out of the 5 I was given. The Elote side was very oily to my surprise. I don't know what the oil was but traditionally it is with mayo, and or butter, lime, cilantro, and coteja cheese with Tajin or cayenne. Don't get me wrong I ate it all to try and give it a chance but I just wanted to give an honest review it was all very bland for my taste. Sissy's Taco truck is a newer taco truck/stand off north Bardstown road in the heart of the downtown portion of mount Washington Kentucky. This joins a neighboring food truck in Zoe's Ice cream truck. The two buildings sit side by side and share a drive Thru and a bunch of newly added picnic tables. They do accept credit cards at both stands so that's nice. They have a restroom in the rear that's is unisex and a one seater. When I went the sink was broke but I'm sure it will be fixed soon. I went to both booths and at both the workers were very nice and the prices were pretty cheap. So satisfied with that. I personally ordered a small chicken quesadilla and it was pretty tasty. Very satisfying and solid flavor. Not the best I've had but it was very good. My second oldest got the cheese quesadilla and ate half of it so I polished off the second half for her. My wife and oldest both for the chicken burritos with queso inside. They both said it was a solid burrito. They didn't give me much info. When I asked "who chicken burrito is better qdoba or this place" I got two answers. One said here and the other said qdoba. So we that's a good thing because they both love qdoba chicken burrito. My second youngest for a beef and cheese taco and some Mexican street corn. The taco was great. I'll absolutely try my own taco next time and the street corn was pretty solid. All in all we was satisfied with our food and will be back. The actual food prep took a bit longer than we expected but no complaints because everything tasted fresh and warm. Overall this is an amazing addition to the mount Washington area and centrally located. This and the ice cream truck Zoe's I think are gonna do great business at these locations. I can honestly see them growing into actual store fronts eventually. Props to the owners for setting these up. read more

After driving pass this place a million times, as I work in the Mt. Washington area, I decided to stop in. Amazing!! The nachos portion was huge, and could easily feed a family of four. Delicious with lots of toppings.(7 out of 5) I also purchased a Tyson Taco (3.5 out of 5) and a Sissy's Steak Taco (5 out of 5). Will definitely be there again soon. read more

I stopped by this place yesterday afternoon for a quick lunch I got a ground beef taco and I also got a steak taco both were fantastic I must say. I enjoyed it tremendously I thought the flavor of the meat was really really extraordinary to be honest. The lady at the drive-through window was very nice to me she welcomed me very quickly and I was able to put an online order very easily I have no problems with this place. I will definitely be back and I'm glad they are in the Mount Washington community. read more

Based on the good reviews we tried this place out on a Friday. I ordered the Loco Pollo salad and she ordered the steak nachos. Chicken was bland and the nachos had nacho cheese that you would expect in a football stadium. I would expect queso. The nacho chips came from a bag and not homemade. All ingredients were top quality and fresh. I got the large. Steak quesadilla and she got 2 beef tacos and 1 shrimp taco. We shared an order of street corn. I ordered the corn without cilantro. It was very tasty and different. My only complaint was it wasn't quite enough for $3.99. In my quesadilla the cheese was average but the steak was tender and well seasoned. It came with a tube of sour cream and a little tub of salsa. She said the beef in the taco needed the grease drained better from the meat and needed more seasoning. She also thought it was a little dry needing sauce so I gave her my salsa. The shrimp was an adequate amount and she thought the avocado aioli was tasty but it was a little sloppy. She said the shrimp could have used a bit of seasoning and the cilantro was just too much. read more

Absolutely my favorite taco truck, we drive from Louisville for it. The steak quesadilla was amazing. I also loved the Coltons Carnitas pork taco. And if your super hungry don't for get the burritos are huge and amazing. The big kids love the beef nachos. And when I have my grandson he gets a small cheese quesadilla it's perfect for him. So many good options. Only down side is the drive. We need one closer but until then they will be our go to taco truck. read more

Ordered 3 beef tacos and from my experience in the past figured they would be off the charts. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. A very bland taco that was just warm. I actually heated it up and added some sauce to give it some kick. When visiting previously the food was hot and flavors were great. Waiting over 30 minutes didn't help. If I would have had a large order I could understand but I didn't. Telling patrons it may be 20-30 minutes + would be nice when I ordered...knowing I was going to be there that long I may have ordered more food. Not to worry I will visit again can't let one bad experience speak for all. read more

Easily the best taco's I've had in Kentucky. I'm originally from New York, and I can tell you, this is better than anywhere there either. The carnitas tacos are fantastic and the street corn has some awesome flavor. And the taco truck and eating area are cool and comfortable for eating.
