Yelped for "beer" and found this hidden gem! We were so pleasantly surprised to find excellent beer selections so close to home. We sampled all of the drink options and found several to our liking. We liked the Double Primis so much, we took a 1/4 barrel home with us! We tried the Dutch Country Soft Prezel with all of the dip options; Belgian mustard, beer cheese and pimento cheese. Wow! The the beer cheese was fantastic, but the pimento cheese is to die for!! Cannot wait to go back to ask if I can buy that in bulk too! The service was excellent. We sat at the bar because who doesn't love a free show?!? They answered all of our questions and we loved their food suggestion! It was clean and had great ambiance. There's a shuffleboard table, small food menu, indoor and outdoor seating. We cannot wait to continue supporting this local brewery and tell everyone about it! read more

Excellent beer, great food and stellar service! Hubby had the Ice Delay, blue carumba, which was quite interesting. It's a beautiful shade of blue, and it's GF. I had Better Days, the raspberry wheat. Always great! For dinner, hubby had the grilled Italian sandwich which he said was great. I had the chicken tacos which come as a pair with salsa. Generous servings I thought. One was plenty! If you haven't been here, make it a point to do so! read more

We couldn't wait for Westwind to open and have been following their opening status on FB for sometime. We went on opening day and we were happy to see the place was packed! Not being familiar yet with their beers we each ordered something different, their Primis IPA and the Truckee Porter. If you're an IPA fan you won't be disappointed, good flavor, similar ABV to Iechyd Da's Revolution. The Porter was smooth, good flavor. Not a lot of depth of flavor but easy to drink more than one. Also the Sacrifice was an American Ale, and my favorite. Slight hops, slightly sweet, and smooth. We didn't order any of the food from the kitchen but we saw several sandwiches come out and looked and smelled great. It's always good to see a new local brewpub open in the area. Westwind checks off all the boxes-great service, friendly staff & knowledgeable about their beer, fun atmosphere, good location, and tasty beer from the start. Gave 4 stars because they have just a few kinks to workout (which I know they will) ordering and paying was backed up and could run smoother. read more

Great beer! I talked to the owners, and I feel like they really take a lot of pride in getting good quality beer. I believe the goal is to get to 8 taps, they had 7 when I was there and all of them were above average to great. They run a nice variety but their Stout and the IPA were my favorites There is not a lot a food,but they do a great Cuban sandwich and a lot of thinking and research went into it...... and some specialty potato chips all the way from Detroit. They do offer other snack items and sandwiches, but those are the two that stood out to me. All the owners are Family Guys, so the hours will be limited to Friday Saturday and Sunday, but they seem to have a good business model and put a lot of thought and care I to everything before they actually do it. They also have plenty of room to expand or for outside activities or festivals, so it'll be fun to see how things progress. Definitely a nice atmosphere, and a fun Brewery to hang out. read more

First visit for me to this brewery in an industrial neighborhood. The setting is perfect! Outdoor seating is ample. As for the beer, the selection is good. Tried the Trajectory Porter and Kingsmen Kolsch. Went with the Kolsch (although both were decent). Kolsch was easy drinking and light. Service was top notch and gets five stars. Not child friendly, which is fine with me. Shuffleboard available. I gave four stars overall because I believe that as this brewery matures, the beers will get better. I'll continue to support them while they get there. Give 'em a shot! read more

We were there on the second day they were officially open. I had the Primis IPA and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife ordered the Genesis Stout and She said it was excellent. I'm not a Stout fan but I had a taste of hers and I liked it. We also split a Cuban Sandwich which is a nice size and comes with chips and also ordered a Dutch Country soft pretzel with queso. Everything tasted great and we would order it again on a future visit. The interior has a cozy hangout feel with large rolling doors they will be able to open in the summer. Even though they just opened the service was excellent and everything arrived promptly. This is a small batch brewery and they are new so check their hours of operation before you head over. read more

Great local spot in Elkhart! We've been here a few times and also missed them a few times when they are randomly closed, but the beer is great! Our beer-tender gave great beer recommendations today as well as the pretzel and pub cheese. Get the pretzel and pub cheese, and you won't regret it. 10/10 will come again read more

Was able to experience this new brewery on opening day, and was very impressed. The double Primis NEIPA was something special. Reminded me of the great flavors from out East, and definitely the best NEIPA I have had locally! Food was incredible, and at great value. Service was excellent considering it was opening day. Didn't expect it to be quick but was happily surprised. Service was on point, and with a smile! Will look forward to going back soon, and experiencing new brews, and snacks. read more
