The patio in the summer is awesome! It's covered, and there's a great view of the neighboring lake. Bring your sunglasses (just in case)! There's two TVs on the patio as well. Didn't get a chance to go inside, but it's nicely lit with string lights across the ceiling. There was live music inside the evening we were there and people were dancing. Now, for the food, the onion rings are great! They are beer battered, so I am particularly a fan. I got the chicken parmesan sandwich, which I would say came out exactly how I expected it to. It didn't knock my socks off or disappoint. Very middle of the road. If you get a fountain drink it comes in a GIANT cup. The service is where they lose a star. The food came out EXTREMELY slow. It felt like our server was trying to avoid our table, probably because our food was just taking forever. She was very apologetic about how long the food was taking, but the food we ordered are definitely not orders that should take as long as they did. Despite this, I'll be back! Outside on the deck looking at the lake was nice! We ordered a pizza and chicken/ranch baked sub- both were delicious!! Our server was extremely busy with many tables but was very efficient in making sure we had everything we needed. I have visited Lakeview Inn, since I was a small child, with family and friends and I am now 65. Always a wonderful experience, excellent food, service and atmosphere. This past Saturday night was an exception. The food was great, but, horrible service by our waitress. We arrived for dinner and seated ourselves near the back exit. No one greeted or waited on us for nearly fifteen minutes. A young woman arrived and promptly removed two tables and multiple chairs from the table where we were seated. There were several empty tables and many chairs when she did this and then she left. Another ten to fifteen minutes passed and the young lady returns. No greeting, apologies for us waiting, no menus, no silverware, no waters and we literally, shouted for two Bloody Mary's, as she is walking away. I also, asked for her to please bring us two menus. She heard and ignored me. We wait another ten to fifteen minutes and my friend retrieved menus for us. Waitress returns with our Bloody Mary's and literally, places them on table and turns quickly again to leave. We yelled that we would like a basket of fried mushrooms. She barely acknowledged our request. Still no communication, silverware, offer of menus, water or apologies for time that had passed. She returns with mushrooms and we quickly place orders for entrees before she leaves again. She never extended specials or substitutes for items in our orders. We yelled again for another Bloody Mary while her back is to us for the third time while requesting drinks, appetizers and food. She never once checked on us. When the food and third drink arrive I asked for water and before we could request two glasses of water she was gone again. The Bloody Mary's were good but missing any olives, pickles or other dressings, that usually accompany even the most basic Bloody Mary. The fried mushrooms were absolutely delicious, as were my friends burger and my perch basket. We retrieved catsup ourselves from another table for our french fries, as we did also, with the menus. Several tables that arrived nearly a half an hour after us were greeted, given menus, drinks and food before we had the opportunity to shout out that we needed menus , drinks, appetizers, water and food. We were literally unable to ask about specials, substitutions, desserts and other items before the waitress disappeared. Her rudeness and lack of most basic customer service skills placed a damper on our entire dining experience and evening. We both left the restaurant angry, although, our food was wonderful. We both are usually generous tippers and are very understanding about servers having an off night or extremely heavy amount of customers to serve. Our waitress appeared toward the end of our meal, when we were almost finished, as if she thought this bare, minimum, single, gesture, would still find a generous tip for our nearly hundred dollar meal. I felt no tip was justified. My friend left very little tip to extend our extreme displeasure at our service. The waitress suddenly appeared at our table as we were leaving. It was the only time during our dinner that she took an interest in servicing our table and it was when we were finished, paid and leaving. Terrible customer service and waitress. If I return I will absolutely refuse further service from this waitress before placing any order. This has never occurred here before and our past servers have always been wonderful. The food was very good, as it has always been. The waitressing skills were nothing short of deeply disappointing. read more

This place exists because there is so little competition, and that is the only reason. Food is not good, just meh. Service is rude. They do not allow you to bring your own water in...they force you to drink their disgusting tap water that tastes like human farts. Let people bring their own non-fart water in please. Terrible service! Mid food! The service here was absolutely terrible, I would never come here again. My friend has a peanut and sesame allergy, she had asked my waitress to check with the kitchen to see if there are any sesame and or peanut in the ingredients. The waitress said she has no absolute answer for her since she refused to check with the kitchen. So we went to another waitress and she gave us the answer we needed. Although it may seem like no big deal that waitress was potentially putting my friends life in danger since my friends lungs will immediately start to close. The food here is not worth the money. It took over 45 minutes for a couple of appetizers to come out, and they were not worth the wait. They even made us pay for the ice. My wife and I tried their buffalo wings, garlic bread with cheese and tomatoes and a 12" homemade pizza. The wings were the best around, crispy and sauced. The garlic cheese bread with tomatoes had such a rich garlic flavor and the tomatoes were fresh and juicy too! We waited till we got home to try the pizza which was also very good. The crust was my favorite part! Very good food all around and the service was great. We will definitely be going back to try their plenty of other food options as well. Oh boy, I found a new place for pizza. We stopped by the Lakeview Inn last Saturday as we heard they have live music. They didn't have music when we were there but D did talk to the manager about playing there. On the advise of our waitress, we ordered their onion rings. They came out piping hot and were very good. We chose the meat lovers pizza which came overflowing with pepperoni, ham, sausage, and salami. I have to admit it was one of the best pizzas I have had. The crust was perfect, sauce had a sweet bite to it, and the toppings were all fresh. I'm so glad we stopped into this small but friendly tavern. read more

Husband and I went to Lakeview Inn Saturday late afternoon and had the deep fried mushrooms and onion rings. Both items were very good and the Bloody Mary was excellent!!! Ordered a small meat lovers pizza to take home and we're very impressed how good it was as well. It was awesome and will definitely return. That Bloody Mary though!! Must return for one of those!!! I genuinely dislike leaving negative reviews, but I'm compelled to share our experience. Party of two, simple orders, 90+ minutes to get our food. Once received, the order was incorrect, but I wasn't about to send it back after our wait time. However, none of the above is the reason for the single star review. Long time resident and frequent Lakeview often.Particularly enjoy specials such as burgers and fish. Was really turned off Friday 8/14 when I ordered fish to go for my grandson who works late. Didn't mind paying $10 for his burger the week before during $3 Burger Nite, but $20 for what was supposed to be a Perch Basket was over the top. First, it was not perch: was tasteless; and no slaw or side salad included. My grandson told me the piece of fish I brought home from my All You Can Eat Fish Dinner was far better. I understand why you charge more on specials nite for to go items, but the fact that you have NO reasonable fish baskets on your To Go Menu is an oversight. I will be back for specials, but will not order a $20 fish basket. read more

My family enjoyed our breakfast at the Lakeview Inn this morning. Food is made to order, with love and care, so yes, you might have to wait a bit. A bottomless bloody Mary (just $8, delicious and a great deal) kept me company as we waited. As far as breakfast goes, I think the food is more affordable and better than the other local option, the Wright Place. We are a sharing type family so I tried a bit of everyone's food. Everything ranged from good to great. I loved my omelette -- a somewhat strange but delicious beast with hash browns, sausage and cheese inside and sausage gravy on top. My wife's corned beef hash was one of the best versions I've had and may have converted me from a corned beef hash skeptic to full-on corned beef hash lover. This is a low key place, nothing fancy, but it has the right vibe for the location. Everyone working there is friendly and clearly cares about the establishment and its customers.
