I went in to the store wanting to try out a particular bed. The store is limiting the number of people allowed in at one time, before entering the story you are asked COVID19 related questions, they provide large size disposable barriers for you to set down when trying out the mattresses, hand sanitizing station is available as well. I loved that they have qtips available to use on the key pad! Service was great, answered all my questions and showed me some beds that were similar to what I was looking for. They offer free delivery so I took them up on that offer. My mattress was delivered next day! My gf and I were browsing the store and we weren't looking for anything in particular. One of the associates approached us and asked if we needed any help. To which we responded: " We are just browsing". Then he says, "Really??? You're not looking for anything?...looking to kill time?". My gf explains that we are on the waitlist for a restaurant nearby and just wanted to look around. The associate then says, "oh well that sucks" and walks away. What he said was unnecessary. I had just come from horse riding lessons at my friend's stables and still had my dusty breeches on with a sweatshirt. My little dog came along as well but it seems they are particular about that with the mattresses which I understand due to allergies. I purchased a mattress approximately 3 years ago and it feels like its failing where one side is caved in. They sent a third party inspector and denied the claim due to or bed sitting on slats. When we purchased the mattress and told the salesperson what type of bed we have he said it will work just fine it doesn't need a box spring or bunkie board. We had been putting off buying a new mattress for months! As first-time mattress buyers, it was a big decision (and a big purchase) on something we knew little about, which was overwhelming and, to be blunt, intimidating. But walking into Sit 'n Sleep made me wonder why I had been putting this off for so long!! Upon walking in, Rafael greeted us and helped us navigate the rows and rows of mattresses. We had walked through a couple of other mattress stores in Pasadena, but didn't receive the warm welcome that Rafael gave us at Sit 'n Sleep. We spent over an hour at the store, with the perfect balance of assistance (I really dislike when the salesperson hovers and makes you feel like you're constantly being watched). One of the managers, Rafael, helped me out when I went into the store in September, located upstairs from Walgreens on Lake. I was looking for the lowest costing twin mattress to replace a bedbug-infested mattress. Rafael pointed me in the right direction showing me two floor samples and letting me know the cost and delivery charge. Very disappointed. It took FOUR deliveries over five days to finally receive what I purchased. Twice the wrong item was delivered, then a broken box spring was delivered. Plus the delivery guys showed up earlier than the scheduled window of time. AND the wrong item was listed on the purchase sheet and I had to return to the store 15 minutes after purchase to get it changed. For ALL the inconvenience and lost work time for me, there was no real accountability on the part of the sales staff or customer service staff. I do not recommend this store. read more

DON'T BELIEVE THE FRIENDLY ADS!! Go anywhere but here!! Horrible experience! I came in knowing that I wanted to replace my temperpedic firm with a new firm mattress, so I tried the same type in the store. Their firm floor model felt the same as mine did at home so I purchased it. The cost for just the mattress alone was over $3000. However, what was delivered to my home was a giant cement brick. I called the next morning after not sleeping a wink, and they said "YOU need to break it in! Try walking on it." What?!?! That was unacceptable for the price and the fact that the one they delivered was nothing like the floor model I tried. They said my only option was to get a medium firm, but I had to come to the store, on a Monday - a work day - to put the order in. I could not. So my husband, who had not slept since the giant brick arrived, had to go to the store, and try the floor model firm mattress for the manager. He concurred, it was not like the solid rock hard mattress we received. They agreed to let us have a medium one delivered, but required a "restocking fee" of $250. For what?? We had to pay it or spend a sleepless month hoping it would "break in" at some point. We were left with no other choice but to pay the fee. They seem nice enough, until something goes wrong and then are rude and force you to pay unnecessary fees. A good business absorbs the cost of replacement when a customer is making such a big, consequential purchase and an unforeseen problem arises. Also, they should bend over backwards to make it right. A BIG FAT NO TO THIS PLACE. Avoid at all cost. I wish someone had written a review like this. It would have saved me thousands. Trust me. read more

The Pasadena Sit 'N Sleep provides exemplary service and product selection. We recently had an issue with a premium mattress made by Spink and Edward purchased at the store two years ago. Over time the mattress compressed becoming hard and lumpy to the point that the sides were sagging over the bed frame. I called Sit 'N Sleep and spoke to the manager, Jennifer, explaining the issue. Jennifer was empathetic to my problem and, although they no longer carried the brand, stepped up and assisted in rectifying the issue. She instructed me to request an inspection from the manufacturer and assured me that whatever the outcome she would make sure I had a satisfactory replacement. The mattress was inspected and deemed defective entitling me to exchange with Spink and Edward for an updated mattress style, as long as I paid $300 for pick up and delivery. This was not a satisfactory reply and, once again, Jennifer assured me she would assist in resolving the issue. Within two days, Jennifer had approval to exchange the mattress with any mattress of similar value in the shop. As always, Sit 'N Sleep does not charge for delivery or pick up! We ended up selecting a very plush, top of the line Sterns and Foster which was considerably less expensive than our original mattress purchase. I was prepared to just accept the difference as I was happy to have a comfortable mattress, but Jennifer insisted on making up the difference with new pillows and sheets. I highly recommend Sit 'N Sleep. All the staff was courteous when I called and Jennifer went out of her way to ensure an easy return. The delivery staff was equally pleasant and helpful. The store has all the necessary protections in place against Covid making the whole experience comfortable. read more
