On 3/09/2013 My girlfriend suggested that for my up coming birthday present, she buy me a new mattress, so that same day we drove to Sit 'n sleep in Redlands. My first thought upon entering was "WOW" , they have a huge selection in the showroom. We were greeted by Assistant Manager "John Grasson". Although there is so much good to say about John's personal service and this store, I will try to keep my review short and hopefully helpful. ( Didn't work! Sorry) Well . After being steered away from any thought of a regular type mattress and to the memory foam mattresses , by my girlfriend, ( she owns a memory foam icomfort), John asked questions of me regarding my sleep positions, current bed size and type, types of pains upon waking I was experiencing..... etc. He then suggested a few memory foam models that he felt would work for me. At this point I have to tell you, John didn't usher us straight to the most expensive beds in the showroom, but directly to some models that he felt were better suited for me based on my answers to his questions he asked. ( I later found out that John studies up on the store products and sleeping informational websites) Believe me, my girlfriend and I took our time and really tested out the mattresses by laying in many positions ( hmmm, that didn't sound right, did it?) . Although My girlfriend told me to try out a more expensive model right in front of John, he still didn't usher me away from what he felt was the better mattress fit for me despite its lower price. Now that's a man with Integrity ! Truly a rarity in salesmen nowadays . With most of these companies it's only about bottom dollar, and to heck with what the customer truly needs. John was very respectful, attentive, patient and truly helpful and knowledgable . He was also very funny, and just an all around good guy. Even thought we told John we wanted to "sleep on it", so to speak, before making a decision , we were never made to feel as if we had to rush, the old " pit bull on your leg" feeling. In fact John encouraged us to take it all in and let him know when we were ready. We returned the next day, Based on how the mattress felt to me as we'll as Johns input, I chose this years new model memory foam mattress, a Sealy "Radiance" in a Cal-King. I just have to say, I returned to the showroom two days later. I needed to thank John in person for the best service I've had in a long time, as well as for the best sleep I've had in literally over 20 yrs.or more! :-))). In fact the morning after I received my bed, I overslept by two hours !!! And the second morning after, I had set my alarm but I still rolled over after turning it off and fell right back asleep for another hour and a half !! No kidding people.! And my morning back pains and body aches were gone, hard to believe after just two nights such a difference! Overall the whole shoppimg experience was good. The Sit 'n sleep store was incredibly clean, and very comfortable, not warehouse like. The service we received was great, no one likes a pushy salesman much less one who doesn't know his products. We found neither with John. Delivery and setup was good , in fact the delivery crew was a little early! They were fast, careful, and courteous . Although we didn't deal with any other salesmen in this store, I can only hope they are of the same caliber as Assistant Manager John Gasson. And to the owner of this Sit 'n sleep store , ( A good owner reads customer input), in a nut shell........ Great Location, Great store, great service,great prices and deals and a Great Assistant Manager. Keep up the good work. I will recommend this store at every opportunity . Well, it's a long review, but its got the info that I would want while checking a business review. Anyone can throw out a couple good words but we need to know if these businesses deserve our money and patronage or not. So you got my honest personal opinion. Folks, if your your looking for a mattress, don't make this store your first stop. Not even your second. But I can say without a doubt once you compare all the points in my review to your first and second mattress store inquiries , this Sit 'n sleep store will be your FINAL stop. Btw- while your buying your bed there, pick up a set of the DREAMFIT microfiber sheets. WOW, being a man I never thought I'd care about sheets, but these things are sooooo soft! My wife & I visited the San Bernardino store and was met by Eric Silberman, he was polite and asked questions to help narrow down the selections in our search. We had visited the Select Comfort store and some other conventional mattress stores too. I have severe lower back problems and I am recovering from neck fusion surgery 4 months ago, so I need a good mattress to minimize my discomfort. Eric directed us to a very nice mattress that would truely help my back issues but was outside of our budget range. Instead of getting an "Attitide" , Eric understood and showed us mattresses that were more "In-Tune" with our budget. He also realized that I was leaning toward a higher-end mattress and suggested options that really helped us. I ended up spending more than we intended but, I truely feel that Eric provided us with a great option and we left the store with a better mattress(Temper-Pedic, Weightless) than we thought we were going to purchase. I've lived in SoCal for pretty much my entire life and have heard the "You're killing me Larry" commercials for as long as I can remember. The radio is what ultimately brought me into the store just a few miles away from my house, but the prices and the service are what will bring me back. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into here, but I was really surprised by what a friendly place Sit N Sleep is. I know, the commercials are a little cheesy, but in the store they're totally professional and helpful. They knew ALL there was to know about mattresses and even showed me a ( I think it was called-) sleep diagnostic test, which tested how my body weight was distributed on the bed. Turns out, I'm safest sleeping on a less firm mattress than I thought... A month into my new mattress purchase I couldn't be happier with how well I'm sleeping. Is it wrong that I never want to get out of bed anymore? I think not. read more

Both John and Ralph were absolutely wonderful!!! They both explained all my options and gave me an honest answer. My daughter went with me both times and she even purchased a mattress set as well! She ordered a full size thinking that was the size she already had at home. When they delivered it, it was not the right size! She should have ordered a queen. She called the company and told them about her mistake and asked to have it swapped out - she'd pay the difference. They told her no worries and swapped out the mattress set the next day - no charge!!! They said the price difference was minimal! Now, thats great customer service!!!! read more

Although I did my homework on the various mattress brands and bed sets, I was uncertain between a Sealy and a Beauty Rest World Class brand. Just wanted to pass on my thanks to Matt Brown at the Redlands store. We walked in looking for two mattresses and with Matt's expertise and guidance we were able to settle on a couple of Hybrids that we can't wait for delivery. The showroom is clean, has a huge variety of mattresses there of all kinds. I highly recommend using their Bedmatch system to get an idea of the type of mattress that may be suit you. Larry Giangrande was extremely helpful in guiding us through the many Sit 'n' Sleep options, which resulted in our selection of a queen mattress on a Sto-a-Way box spring. This solved our storage problem in our small guest room. Throughout our three separate visits to this store Larry was always friendly and completely professional. He definitely knows his beds! I want to commend John Grasson, Sleep Consultant, for his help and knowledge in selecting a mattress/box springs for me today. He did the mattress test on me to find my rating and I had never experienced anything like it before. He then had me lay on numerous mattress sets until I found the right one, I hope. We purchased an adjustable bed for my elderly mother and after a month it quit working and was stuck in the up position. I called the customer service for the warranty company but they were no help. David Burnham, the Assistant Manager at the Redlands store really stepped up and helped us resolve our issue with the help of Peter Janis and Eric Foucrier, Designer of the bed .
