The owner doesn't seem to understand how important it is to keep clients satisfied or to accommodate reasonable requests. They charge for consultations, while many other salons offer them for free or apply the fee toward your service. My appointment was denied with no explanation--possibly because I expressed that it's unfair to charge for a consultation without giving customers the option to apply the fee to their service. Regardless, neither the owner nor a manager (if there even is one) attempted to follow up with me. I emailed multiple times with no response. The only time I heard from them was after I booked online, when they denied my appointment and sent a short, dismissive email. After doing more research, I realized this place is highly overpriced for what appears to be low quality customer service . There are plenty of spas in the city that truly care about their clients--try NulQ Wellness, Docere, or The Well Westlake instead. Take your business there and get treated like a customer.

Mind you I was there exactly at the time of the grace period ending on the dot. I even saw a worker walk away from the door as I was at the door. Even though mid drive, communication was there to let them know of this 10 min delay due to traffic. Mind you I was driving from an hour and a half away. This was a complimentary follow up appointment. Because of this, the owner was not as respectful as prior appointments. Why offer a complimentary follow up if you are going to treat a customer like this? Also this complimentary appointment was unable to be rescheduled as complimentary and that was not communicated when making the appointment. She is not mindful of her customer's time and does not respect them enough to even communicate with them face to face. This makes for a poor relationship between customer and client. No matter how "good" your work is. The one thing that sets you apart in this industry is your customer service. She also blocked me as her customer instead of allowing me to freely review on this platform. This is bad business save your money and time and go to any other med spa in the area. There is a reason there is only 5 star reviews on here she blocks her customers before they even can review!

It was kind of annoying since both of us were looking forward to a weekend of relaxation and instead needed to entertain our therapist with conversation. The facial therapist however was nice and allowed us time to relax wit only minimal conversation when necessary. We did like the sauna ‍ however it said it was 133° but we found that hard to believe since after 50 minutes in it we did not even break a sweat. We were happy that we were able to watch Netflix while in it though.

As my boyfriend has never had a full body massage before, I decided to ask for 2 female masseuses to have him be comfortable. On the day of the massage, we arrived 20 minutes early and filled out the paperwork with info about our massage and the sauna. I had booked a 1-hour massage followed by a 45-minute session in the sauna. I also booked us in the couples suite so we could have the sauna and massage in one room. The ladies we had walked us to the room and talked to each of us individually about our surveys. It would have been helpful however if they could explain to my boyfriend what to do after they left the room. I explained it to him as this was his first time so he knew what to do. Once we both were laying on the table, our ladies came back into the room and began the massage. It was a good experience overall. After the massage we both wore soft robes and sat in the sauna for 45 minutes that was timed with a specific setting. We were able to watch Netflix during that time on their in-sauna TV. It was a good experience overall and once the timer went up, we got dressed and went to the reception desk to check out. I would recommend for any ladies who want to set up a couples massage or just one for her to be pampered. It was great! I visited over a year ago in April 2023 and this review is being written in May 2024. CUSTOMER SERVICE -- In my experience, they have good customer service. I called last minute and I was able to get an appointment. NAILS -- There are a variety of styles and colours to choose from - you can keep your natural nails or add acrylic (fake) nails. I got acrylic nails for the first time with a pink gel polish. My actual nail service was a little rushed towards the end because I noticed that after the staff member was done, my cuticles or the skin around my nails were not smooth. There was still little bits of dry skin that could be cut or peeled off. The nail technician, a woman, didn't remove some of my dry skin around my nails. Granted, I could have said something to her afterwards but after already spending over 1 hour there, it was getting late at night and I needed to go back to my apartment. It was obvious to me though that the nail technician would know how to finalise a nail service. For such an expensive nail service, it would have been nice if they paid more attention to the little details. My cuticles and some dead skin were not done correctly. In addition, when I went back 2+ months later to have the nails removed, which I believe is free or $10, I noticed that my actual nails were brittle/soft/weak. It took over 4 months for my nails to feel strong again. A friend told me that the method that they used to remove the acrylic nails may have put too much pressure of on my actual nails and damaged them. I'm never getting acrylic nails and gel polish again whether here at Liz Nails or elsewhere. It works for some people but not for me. The place is absolutely beautiful, clean, warm and inviting. The desk ladies are calm in the face of a storm (me!), organized and laser focused. Upstairs is for full on plastic surgery, downstairs is for non-invasive (laser hair, ultherapy, micro needling, cool sculpting, etc.) Jen is my girl, she and Kathy are incredibly knowledgeable, professional and HONEST.
