Six Bridges is one of my new favorites for Trivia Night, every Tuesday at 7PM! Great to find another place that does Outspoken Trivia which is my personal favorite format. The people are extremely friendly and I felt very welcomed, my husband enjoys the beers but I really like the cocktails they offer. It's great to be able to enjoy both worlds in one place. Highly recommend the Strawberry Daiquiri, they make the strawberry syrup in-house and it really gives it a freshness and lightness. In terms of beers my husband enjoyed the Dunkel, and looks forward to trying their other offerings. For Trivia night they have a rotating list of food trucks, and we had the pleasure of trying the taco truck--great food, and generous portions. The shrimp tacos are a must try if you like seafood. In terms of vibes, this bar has wonderful outdoor seating with string lights if you want to enjoy the outdoors, or varied seating indoors with stools and comfy couches if that's what you prefer. Bathrooms are always clean and well-kept, and we've seen people with their kids and dogs, such a warm atmosphere. A couple notes for Trivia: the bar plays as well! If the bar wins first place the prize goes to the last place winner, super fun twist. They also have a few groups of regulars that are generally high on the leaderboard, but I hope I'm there when the bar finally takes the first spot. :) Definitely worth trying for any of their event nights! Also appreciate that they give back to the community in various ways (blood drives and donations for example). That type of care will keep us coming back every time. read more

I had the Red-Ish beer and I picked up an earthy hop profile which I'm not a fan of. I tried about 5 of the beers, good, but not excellent. Food - food trucks outside Drinks: we went in to do a beer tasting- we were disappointed Ambiance - live band music was rather disappointing, the lead singer was struggling through the song she was sing, which created a grating sound. It got progressively louder as the weather outside changed, wind bursts and a thunderstorm brewing brought all who were outdoors inside. I happened to pass this place on the way to an appointment, so I told myself I would stop by on my way back home. I'm glad I did. I met Monique, what a cool bar manager. I got there right as they were opening, so she had time to entertain me. She was really cool and explained the beer selection to me. I got to meet Pop's "the owner," and he was just as cool. They have swag, an outdoor seating area, and live music and food trucks on certain nights. Just check out their calendar; they have something going on during the week. Talk about a nice place to unwind and meet other people. I can't wait to go back during the fall when it's not so hot outside. I really like the laidback vibe and outdoor space here. It's a pretty unassuming little brewery in the corner of a big office/warehouse building, and they have a variety of unique beers so there is something for everyone. I was able to grab a great Groupon deal for a flight and pint for 2 and got to try many of their stouts as well as sours. My favorites were the pumpkin ale (UGGS), key lime sour, and silent accord stout. Some of their stouts were weird tasting but I guess that's just part of the fun/experience - I thought the bulleitproof tasted like soy sauce and the MVC was also not my fave but those are also 12% ABV so that might be why. Overall though the flights were fun, and the outdoor space was really chill and dog friendly! There is food available through a nearby restaurant, Alessio's, and food trucks on some days which are listed on their website. They also do trivia tuesdays which I have yet to try, but it's definitely on my list! read more

Great ownership yet lacking employees. The lovely couple made it up for crappy attitudes from the two tenders working behind the bar (the dude was horrendous). Hope they can engage in a bit more with all of the patronages, not with a select few if they choose to fill so. Beer is alright - tap was smoother than their canned but that was about it. Flight was a bit underwhelming, hope they can expand their horizons with experiments as I do sense some potential. read more

Six Bridges is a typical brewery with a good indoor and a wonderfully shaded outdoor area. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was not too busy, with plenty of available seating, and the clientele ranged from families with young kids all the way up to older folks. Tried a few beers and they were good overall. The guava sour was my favorite and I'm not someone who typically likes sours so do recommend trying that. A suburban brewery. That's a first for me, and after coming here, I think this should be a more common thing, especially in a city like Atlanta. There was a lot of space inside and an outdoor area which would be great for summer. No food served inside, but there was a table outside selling empanadas and quesadillas. A number of board games and video games were stocked up in a cabinet, free for anyone to play. Parking seems plentiful, but we had to park all the way by the loading deck. It is quite an awkward walk to get from the parking to the brewery. Not sure if this is a normal situation on a Friday evening but I think one of the businesses next door had an event. read more

What a cute brewery! We came by to try out some of the beer this weekend and it didn't disappoint. They have various stouts (hubs love them) and a Berliner Weisse for me. The sour was wonderful on this warm spring day. The guava was definitely apparent and added wonderful flavor to the beer. Hubs tried the silent accord and the tagalong and both was great. We liked the tagalong more b/c of the subtle peanut butter taste. I loved the Berliner Weiss so much that I bought a 6 pack to bring home. The brewery was spacious and has a great outdoor area with benches and picnic table. There is a corner with a dart board and video games. They are pet friendly. You can find Six Bridges Brewing at 11455 Lakefield Dr STE 300, Duluth, GA 30097 at the end of a small industrial park across from the Atlanta State Farm Operations Center - basically the southeast quadrant made up from the intersection of McGinnis Ferry and Hwy 141. I think it's along the northern edge of John's Creek and to the east of Alpharetta, but fairly close to both. Parking is in front next to the patio, along the front edge and wraps around to the left facing the front door - there seems to be plenty but you may need to walk around the building. I've been aware of the creation of Six Bridges for some time as there have been several posts about it on the Atlanta Beer Community Facebook group - that's a good source for local brewery happenings. The good folks at Six Bridges also have a FB page where they post updates frequently so you may consider following them - also a fairly new website. Tyler is their social media guy and is quite active. They did their soft opening over Christmas 2018 week and have had limited hours since though they seem to be settling in - currently open from 3:00 or 4:00 to about 9:00 with extended hours on Saturday, less Sunday and as with most Atlanta breweries, closed on Monday. The interior of Six Bridges has a in industrial modern vibe with tall ceilings and concrete floors. There's some lounge seating as you enter that opens to long tables, a few tall smaller round tables around the edges and the taproom/bar along the back edge - some windows allow you to see the operational tanks in the room beyond. It's not as noisy as many similar industrial setups so you can still carry a conversation. There's a large mural right when you walk in that shows the locations of John's Creek's 6 bridges (thus the name - some explanation on the website). I immediately liked the vibe of this place and felt quite comfortable there. You can see the large patio with tables out front - so far a bit too cold to enjoy but I'm sure it will be filled to the gills once they get cranked up. I've since visited twice - the first time about a week after the soft opening and the second time a couple of days ago - they aren't that convenient to me but when traffic is really bad it's sometimes worth it to go east then south from my work in Alpharetta to my home near Doraville. On the first day business was brisk with about 20 customers in the taproom - I ordered two flights, tasting all 8 of their initial offerings. They've since added another IPA with a new sour scheduled for next week. Here are my initial impressions, recorded while drinking into the Untapp app: * Shelby Golden Ale 4.8%ABV - 3.75/5 Super light, crisp golden ale, more like a session with good mouthfeel and a touch of hops, nice lacing plus a dry finish. * Newtown Pale Ale 5%ABV - 4/5 Lightweight, citrus nose and initial, nice lacing. A well rounded pale ale. * Read 'em and Wheap Wheat Beer 5.6% ABV - 4/5 Easy drinking comes to mind - mouthful of wheat, tropical notes and fairly juicy. Well balanced and very slammable. * Sour Continuum with Boysenberry Cream Berliner Weisse 4.3% - 4/5 Delicious, more sour than tart with great mouthfeel. Amazing hazy beer red color with berry throughout and a dry finish. * Medlock Chapter 2 (Amarillo, El Dorado, Citra) NEIPA 6.2% ABV - 3.75/5 Fairly classic NEIPA with citrus and some initial hops bitterness. More dry than juicy. Hazy with great lacing, still a bit green. * Hardcore Parkour Porter 6.4% ABV - 4/5 Coffee initial, nice smoky malts, full bodied with cocoa and a dry finish. Nice lacing, you'll be happy. * State Bridge Stout 5.8% ABV - 4/5 Awesome stout with all the best features, creamy, smooth and full of oaty goodness. Opaque with great lacing, be great nitrode. * A Silent Accord Imperial Stout 7.8% ABV - 4.5/5 Boozy, almost BA in flavor and consistency. Great mouth feel and raisiny flavor - an instant winner with coconut and vanilla notes. * Medlock Chapter 3 (Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe) 5.5% ABV - 3.5/5 Easy drinking tropical with some decent citrus notes. Quite slammable. A few notes: * The above reflect my own personal preferences of stronger, darker beers. I can appreciate beer with lower ABV but since that's not my preference I tend to lose some of the subtlety. * My favorite was the Imperial Stout - unexpectedly quite good. I also liked the Boysenberry Cream and have had it since the initial tasting - I like it better every time I've had it. Service here is quite good - they have a good mix of new pourers and a couple of old-hands. I think they'll work into the most efficient mechanics of taking orders and serving beers. Prices range from a couple of bucks for a taster pour to around 6 for a full pour with flights of 4 glasses available - quite reasonable. Both times I was there I recognized several faces in the crowd from other beer or brewery events. This is a great addition to John's Creek and the Atlanta beer community - great taproom, service and beer. read more

Popped in here just before closing last night. Cool place, tucked away in one of the business parks off of Medlock Bridge. The beer is apparently the star here, but I got one of their Peach Ginger seltzers- really tasty stuff! Friendly staff, we obviously didn't stay long but I can see myself and friends coming back, nice outdoor space for people to enjoy nice weather, and spacious seating indoors with plenty of TVs if you don't like socializing. Had the best time at six bridges! We visited because we found a Groupon that was almost too good of a deal to be true. We went on a Tuesday and arrived to the smell of a backyard bbq. Come to find out Tuesday is free hot dog day as well as trivia. Our Groupon got us two flights and two pints. I enjoyed every single beer I tried they went down super smooth and had so many options. It is a little bit of a drive from my location in Decatur but well worth it will defiantly be back. It is also awesome that they are dog friendly, indoor and outdoor and they even have a few cocktails as well. Who would ever go here? The attitude of the employees totally sucks. They will make you feel like you're imposing upon them. Mostly, the employees hate people. The owners and their employees might like beer, but the beer isn't particularly memorable. We much prefer Stillfire. The employees are totally friendly, accommodating, and pleasant... Many smaller groups trying to have conversation, some were older, several tables had kids, and no one was playing trivia outside. But with the music uncomfortably loud (with lots of swearing) and the trivia hosts' chatter booming through the speakers, it made it difficult for us to relax and enjoy our beers. I have been going to Six Bridges Brewery for several years. Charlie and his son do a great job brewing great beers , both traditional and exotic. Always fun to try something different. They and their staff make you feel welcomed and appreciated. They are great supporters of our community, hosting numerous fund raising events for local charities and service organizations. Compared to Atlanta, there are not many breweries in the suburbs so this place was one that I had to visit. The overall aesthetic of the place is really nice for large groups or if you want to catch up with a few friends. There is outside and inside seating as well as corn hole, board games and card games to play. I tried the Mango Dango beer and liked it a lot since I am not a huge beer person. Breweries abound in the Atlanta metro area. Many are good, but fail to break away from the pack. This is an exception. They have a strong lineup with a great patio. Also serve cocktails and you can have food delivered from very close by for free. read more

Friendly staff, nice ambiance. They sell chips and snacks here. The brewery allows you to bring in takeout food, so we grabbed a pizza from up the road. There was another group that did the same. Nice new brewery OTP. There is plenty of seating inside and outdoors, plus they are super dog friendly both in and outside. They have tasty rotating food trucks come as well. Their stouts and sour were good. Not super tiny but not overwhelmingly big as far as the size of the place so I enjoyed it. We enjoyed ourselves here and would probably come back.
