Huge shoutout to Currahee not just for the great local beer and good vibes all around, but also for the top notch baby changing table/station they have in the women's bathroom!! Just wow!! It's rare to find a setup as good as this, especially at a brewery. It's truly something you would find in a nursery in someone's home or at a daycare. With an upset baby and a full diaper, to walk upon this just lifted about half of my stress away and made the whole baby changing experience so much more enjoyable for both baby and I. As a new mom, this is truly a game changer and so good to keep in the back of my mind anytime I am out and about with my family in downtown Alpharetta. I also feel like it's important to mention that they have a back patio as well as seating on the front patio. I think the back often gets overlooked or missed, but it's a super cute little back deck with a few Adirondack chairs. Pets are also welcome! read more

Currahee is a great, small brewery to go to after work or for a meet up with friends. They don't have any food orders. They do food runs towards the back of the brewery to the BBQ place next door. I have been here a few times and this is a standard brewery. It is a long narrow room, with a long bar serving draft beer. There are vats visible in the space, along with some high tables and lots of bar seating. They have multiple TVs and the staff is good about changing the channel for you if you ask nicely and no one else is being inconvenienced. I love that you can bring in outside food. They also have a counter in the back, where you can order SmokeJack BBQ, which is a few doors down and they will bring it to you. I have also been here for a private party where they shut the whole place down and have drink tickets for the guests. There is also room for a one-person live musician, which can make the place really loud. The beer is great! read more

Went to Curahee Brewing to watch football and have some beers. I like that you are able to bring in outside food to enjoy with your beverages. The atmosphere was pretty chill when we arrived, there were only a few others sitting at the bar and a few tables outside, but as the evening approached the crowd started to pickup and it became much busier. The beer was pretty good, my only minor complaint is that there is only two sizes of beer, 5oz or 16 oz. I love to try different beers while at a brewery, but don't want to get too full or bloated, so I typically like to order half-pours or 10 oz beers, so I can enjoy 2-3 different beers. My only suggestion is to offer a half-pour or 10 oz option. Service was good as well. There was only one guy initially, and he did a good job of promptly providing service every time we approached the bar. read more

Great beer selection. a good mix of ales, IPAs, dark beers and a seltzer. Get a 20oz flight and try all of them. Food is through the desk in back of the bar. Special things from Smokejack. The Brat and a side is the best deal in Alpharetta. Big pretzel, fried pickles, and the wings are the best in Alpharetta. Food may only be there on Thursday-Saturday nights. Atmosphere: Love the atmosphere of this place! I came here on a Friday and it was packed. I love that they had card games like giant Uno, giant playing cards, and Cards Against Humanity laying around to play. My friends and I ended up starting one huge Uno game with another group of friends! The next time I came, it was Wednesday and they were hosting their first ever Trivia. There weren't many teams and there were some kinks they had to work out, but it still made for a great time. To play, you pay $5, winner takes the money and losers can pick the topic for next week. The last thing I want to mention is the cute little window they have on the wall connected to Smokejack BBQ because you can order snacks from a limited menu at the window to munch on while you eat, drink, and play! Food: I got the flight of beers with a friend. She chose two and I chose two. My other friends got their own glasses and we all agreed that the Reign in Berries was the best. If you like sours, you like this beer. Even if you don't love sours, like me, you should still give it a try because I loved it! Food wise, we ordered the BBQ Totchos with Brisket and fried pickles. Although the pickles were good, the totchos were amazing!! The tots were crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside and the sauce and cheese made the whole thing come together! Would I come back and would I recommend to a friend? Yes! My friends and I are excited to come back for trivia night and enjoy some really good beer and food. read more

Great ambiance on a Saturday afternoon. They were playing the Georgia game on tv and some soft music in the background. They had the front open since the weather was nice so it was aired out well. My husband had the hop experiment and I had the 2 sours. He liked the hop experiment a lot if you like hazy IPAs and the berry sour was delicious! Recommend that one if you like sours. I visited here for a happy hour with coworkers and had a great time! It was a Thursday afternoon so it was really slow, but that made it better for the type of event we were going for. They have a great selection of beer on tap here that is made in-house and they also are connected to a restaurant that you can order bites to munch on with your drinks! I am not a beer drinker so I can't say if the beer was great or not (what I had tasted good), but they do have a lot of options and the pours/price ratio are great! There's a lot of seating in here and the staff was very friendly! It's in a very walkable location so you can easily start out here and go to dinner after or vice versa! I'm glad that downtown Alpharetta has a place like this to liven up the atmosphere in this area! There are tons of options for food and fun around here so definitely check it out! read more

Currahee Brewing Company is a really great place to grab a beer after work or on a Saturday afternoon. It has a spacious bar with plenty of seating, as well as tables, couches, and an outdoor seating area. Most of their IPAs are smoother than some other breweries I've gone to. Even their heaviest one, the ScarStruck IPA, is smooth and refreshing! The bartenders are nice here, though it can sometimes be hard to get their attention even when it's quiet. They host trivia here on some nights and if you win, you could receive a $25 gift certificate, which goes a long way considering their beers are so fairly priced. I'll be coming here again very soon! read more

This place is so underrated! I went on a Sunday afternoon during the pandemic and the bar was completely empty! There's nothing fancy about this place and the songs they played were blaring and not of my personal taste but the beer was fantastic! It's also pet friendly! Lucky Stars and Seven Faces (Belgian Quadruple) were my favorite. Lucky Stars is an easy drinking IPA. The Seven Faces is more like a wheat or Belgian beer, but if you drink enough you'll be seeing seven faces and fifteen toes! I forgot the alcohol content but it's insanely high! This decent little brewery in downtown Alpharetta has a cool -- if somewhat sparse -- vibe, and friendly service, but the beer was regrettably underwhelming. I liked the Lucky Scars Hazy IPA, which was fruity and bold, but was disappointed in the Hop Experiment my server recommended, which was bland and forgettable. Currahee's fabulous location, in the heart of Alpharetta's vibrant town center, makes it a worthwhile stop, but there are better breweries in the North Fulton area. read more

Currahee Brewing Company is the newest brewery in the neighborhood, but is not new to the craft beer scene. Their original location is in Franklin, NC and they have been around for awhile before updating the Hop Alley Brew Pub to their 2nd location. This is a nice addition to downtown Alpharetta where you can get beers to go or have a drink on premises. The location is dog friendly and although they don't have their full line up on tap yet, the 8 beers they do have on tap will not disappoint! read more

Let me preface this by saying we come here often, we live right down the street, and like your beer and live music. Yesterday made me question whether we're going to come back again. We were here yesterday (9/24) around 8:30-9:30 PM. When we were finished having a couple of beers we asked to close out. The bartender we asked was a middle-aged woman with glasses. We see her grab my bank card, and hand it over to two people at the end of the bar. These people start examining my card, the guy was holding it eyeing it over, flipping it, etc., the woman he was with had her phone out (taking pictures?). They had it for over 1 minute, then hand it over to the bartender. She comes back my way, passes right past me, and I go "hey, I'm right here." She comes back and hands me my card. I ask her why she gave my card to strangers at the bar, she goes "I can't see". In my mind, logical thing to do would be to ask your coworker, not random people at the bar. Even so, it doesn't take that long to read a name off of a card. Then I ask her if she doesn't think that it's concerning that strangers were examining my bank card, she goes, "oh them, no they're not strangers, I know them"... So is that supposed to make me feel better or worse? Either way, they're still strangers to me, as was the bartender. Then I repeat my question, asking her if she doesn't see anything concerning about what she just did. She winks at me and smiles "yeah, I could see how you would think we're thieves", and walks away. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Not knowing what their intentions were, now I have to cancel my card, get a new card, and enter my new card number on the dozens of autopays I have set up. Came in for a beer, left with a burden. Unacceptable. read more
