We were looking to go to a waterpark and chose this ahead of other indoor water parks .. went on a weekday in summer and it was chaotic ! Though there are some good rides , it just takes forever to get into a ride ! Some rides are 1 hour wait times and it just doesn't make sense .. foood and drink is extremely expensive ! Like a drink costs about 15$ and a slice of pizza about 10$ .. they just aim to make money .. they don't have anything called "customer service".. half of the rides were closed too , making it worse ! They have very less floaters and make you rent one for 10-15$ .. have never been to a wave pool and not float on it . We were just walking around the full wave pool ! Ridiculous ! Luckily we have a yearly pass . I would never recommend this to anyone taking a day pass . It's not worth it . You could go to camelback or any other indoor water parks which is much better !! Parking is crazy too ! The only good thing here is the wave pool ... overall a very very average experience and it could be much better than a money making business ! I really don't think the park is worth the price, it's long lines for the slides and a few were not up and running. The bathrooms are clean, but they need to skim the lazy river and wave pool. The extras are ridiculous (tube rental, etc) and so are the food prices. read more

This park is UNSAFE. I got into an accident on the Hurricane Mountains ride (orange slide) where pretty much 2 seconds into the ride, my tube flipped me over and I tumbled down the tunnel without a tube. I desperately scrambled to get back onto the tube as I was getting scraped and battered while continuing to roll down through the tunnel Right before the big drop at the end I finally managed to get back on the tube, who knows what would've happened if I didn't. I ended up with multiple scrapes, cuts, and bruises (see photos), and my foot was sprained. I don't even want to think about what would've happened if I didn't fight to get back onto my tube before the big drop at the end, probably would've been much worse Someone seriously needs to investigate the safety of this park, will try to find the relevant people to pass this info off to. Aside from that, the park is old, poorly run, and rides keep breaking. On the day I went, all 3 slides at The Falls as well as The Tornado were shut down. Those are all the top thrill rides so there's almost nothing left worth riding. The last time I was here was about 9 years ago and a lot has changed. To start off, Parking is just a scam- $45 to park your car is pretty high for a water park. The food prices were also through the roof, but it was nice to be able to get mediocre food and a cocktail while at the park. The place was absolutely packed for a weekday in the beginning of June which I was pretty shocked about. My husband and I spent most of our day lounging in the lazy river working on our beginning of summer tan. It was cool to visit after many years of not visiting but I definitely don't see myself going back for awhile. read more

there are a lot of additional fees once you enter such as the floaties. A lot of rides were closed, which meant longer lines for the ones that were open. Thank you to Kerry and his team for handling an incident where several adults were jumping the line. They stepped in quickly and made sure things were taken care of professionally. However, it seems like the park's rules need to be updated, and there should definitely be more staff, especially around the longer water ride lines, to monitor for people trying to cut. It's disappointing to see people constantly jumping ahead, making the lines even longer and slower for everyone else. You'll be standing in line 1 hour or more just for a ride. We made the best of the time, but definitely won't return. It would be great if they had more staff keeping an eye on these situations to improve the overall experience. read more

Ehh... yep OK 3 stars was my experience yesterday. If I had paid full retail price of $65+ tax/fees I would have been pissed and this would have been a 1-2 star review, but for half appx $38 per ticket - I feel it was worth that experience. There were a number of slides closed - all of the ones that you can go down without a tube were closed. I really wish that outside of the park, or on their website on a daily basis - they had a digital monitor display showing all rides that are closed for the day. Outside of that - all the other tube rides we went on were a lot of fun - the highlight and favorite 100% being the Tornado. Would I go back? I think it just depends on the sale price and knowing what to expect, but I would never go for full price based on my experience. read more

I took my son and his friend to this place because of a "buy two, get one free" deal. While we were hoping for a fun day, the overall experience was disappointing. We were told we needed to upgrade to a Gold Pass to enter, which cost us an extra $50. That wasn't clearly explained at the time of purchase, which felt misleading. Another issue was that many of the rides were closed. One ride in particular looked like it was about to start, but just before my son and his friend could get on, they were told it wasn't working. This happened more than once, which was frustrating for the kids. We also bought the day-refill drink deal for them, but the service was not good. I asked for two of the refill cups, but was only given one. When my son went to refill his drink and asked for no ice, the staff filled the cup with so much ice that there was barely any room left for the actual drink. Dear Six Flags Management, I am writing to report a very upsetting and humiliating incident that happened during my visit to Six Flags Great Adventure (1 Six Flags Blvd, Jackson, NJ 08527) on June 18, 2025. I am a guest from Europe, and where I come from, such behavior by staff would be unthinkable -- this experience left me shocked and extremely disappointed. Before boarding The Joker ride, I placed my phone in a visible and open area just outside the fenced ride zone. An employee at the entrance -- a dark-skinned male (unfortunately I don't know his name) -- saw me place it there. I walked right past him, and he said absolutely nothing to warn me or explain that it was not allowed. Once I sat down and was fully strapped into the seat, unable to move, I saw the same employee looking around, then approaching my phone, grabbing it, and walking away. He never said a word to me -- not before, not after -- and gave no instructions about where my phone was or what I should do. Instead, he smiled mockingly. After the ride, I saw him standing with another employee, pointing at me and laughing openly. I was alone, I don't speak English well, and I had no way to defend myself or even ask for help. I had not done anything to deserve this -- I did not argue, complain, or break any rules. I felt humiliated and powerless. To make things worse, the Lost & Found office had already closed. I rely heavily on my phone for navigation. I got lost on my way home and barely made it back. I didn't know the area, and this caused me a great deal of stress and trouble. I had expected Six Flags employees to act with at least basic decency while on duty -- but instead I experienced deliberate mockery, and what felt like intentional humiliation. This was a deeply unprofessional and disrespectful situation. I kindly ask that you look into this incident and remind your staff that all guests -- especially vulnerable ones -- deserve to be treated with respect and care. read more

In all my years going to Great Adventure, I never went to Hurricane Harbor. So glad I made the choice to go! It's a lot bigger than it appears. There's a handful of slides (body, tube, family), a wave pool, regular pool and lazy river. When I went, lines were not long at all...and it was a hot summer day! Lifeguards helped move the lines efficiently and in a timely manner. Staff was friendly too! Definitely a fun water park to spend the day! read more

We love the fact this place stayed open until the end of September, maybe even October this year. It's hell-a hot and too many of these waterparks or amusement parks with water rides, close off their water section way too early in the year, especially being Memorial Day weekend and part of June can be too cold. Hurricane Harbor is what you'd typically expect out of a water park. It's not extremely large. Lines are crazy long for the slides on weekends. Pools and attractions are packed with people. Food is expensive. We got in with a discounts but to pay $40 to park and full price to get in with the size of this place. I wouldn't say it's worth it. I loved going,but I live basically down the street...so it's not easy to complain.I was going late with my young son,just running out of the car in our suits and nothing else to run a few slides and lea e very last as to not feel like we were in a cattle chute , with droves of wet and hungry souls dreading getting to their cars for their long drive home or to clean up enough to head over to Six Flags.So,we would hop in the car, wet,sitting on our towels and drive around everyone, make it to Millstone Dairyqueen and Ahhhh... we had an exciting cool off and my son would take a nap and I would feel free. Those days are gone..but not forgotten. ( don't bring good flip flops,they will get stolen.im sorry. This was supposed to be a nice story. This was our first visit this year to Hurricane Harbor. There are multiple areas and each is well guarded. Park personnel are courteous and bathrooms are as clean as they can be in a pool environmen. Unfortunately, they do not enforce there own park policies. Women were not moderately dressed some downright indecent. If it's not going to be enforced why bother to make it policy. In addition there were no "purple cups" available for purchase anywhere in the park. Purple cups are a one time purchase with free refills for the rest of the season. The nice people at the concession stand graciously told us we could buy the "green cup" which at $16.00 are only good for that day. Scam? Not sure? Lastly, to find out there will no longer be a Christmas time event that has been a family tradition with 12 grandchildren. I hope the new owners get there act together so all of us who spend hard earned money can get our moneys worth and a completely enjoyable experienc. read more

This was, by far, one of the absolute worst experiences I have ever had with my family at any kind of amusement park. First, the ticket prices are INSANE for what you get. We paid online, so our prices were $45 a person (no, they do not give lower prices for little kids under a certain age or seniors). Then, it's another $30 just to park your car. Once inside, we found out just about half the park attractions were closed. One kid area we were informed was closed "for the season", in the middle of summer. I had my doubts coming here because of all the bad reviews I read, but I was going into this optimistic. Big mistake. 80-90% of the staff are very young and sure do act it. My SEVEN year old missed the step on the landing to get onto a raft ride, and I guess the worker at the top didn't realize my husband was going down next and proceeded to laugh and make fun of my SEVEN year old daughter for tripping into the water. Oh, and he was also dropping casual F-bombs to his co-workers while working for everyone to hear. Very classy. Another worker was angrily throwing rafts and snatching them from little kids who were struggling to get out of rafts at the landing pool. So with eight of us, we spent over $400 for four hours of an over crowded wave pool, a lazy river that doesn't even have a strong moving current, half the park shut down, and the other open half with lines out the wazoo because everything else was closed. Oh, and they don't let you bring any food or drinks in, so if you plan on being there a while make sure you are prepared for the almost $20 little box of 3 chicken tenders and fries. Do yourself a favor. Save your money and go somewhere... anywhere... else. read more

This park is wildly understaffed. The lines for the slides are insanely long because they don't have enough staff manning the slides to get everyone down in a timely manner. They also don't use a system to tell them when people have made it to the bottom of the slide so the attendants are constantly having to run over and check if the slide is empty. They also don't have enough tubes/mats per slide so there is a line at the bottom waiting for mats when there isn't anyone on line for the slide. They closed the pool and the lazy river during the hottest part of the day. Parking was more than our tickets cost. Lockers were exorbitant. All this would be ok if we could have spent our day riding slides which should have been easy with the amount of people in the park. Nope. read more

I've been here a handful of times during the summer, and I've also attended Fright Fest a couple of times. When you come here, there's usually a ride or two that's out of order. The haunted houses are not that scary. It's a lot of aimless walking until you get hungry. The food options are alright but nothing to brag about. The employees are not the nicest or most helpful people. Fortunately I don't come here often so it's fine. I hope to experience the water park one day. read more

Summary: summer fun, but lots of issues Despite growing up in the area and having a membership for a few years now, I never made it out to Hurricane Harbor until this past weekend. It's a waterpark with plenty of water slides and water rides, as well as a huge wave pool. Despite the fun in the sun, several glaring issues prevent this from getting a higher score. Parking: 4/5 - simple enough to enter and park. If you have a season pass or membership, your parking fee is included. Although I arrived midday on a weekend, there was plenty of parking to be found Crowds: 3/5 - look, it's a water park and you're likely going in the summer. Will it be crowded? Yes. But there are some things that the park should do to fix things. For example, on one specific ride the line was 30-45 mins. But the main holdup was the lack of toboggans available at the top. Could something be done to speed that portion up? Maybe, who knows. Other slides had 20-30 min waits. Seems reasonable. You might be able to speed things up by renting your own tube, but then you're forced to carry it around all over the park, so it's less than ideal. Value: 3/5 - of course everything inside the park will be pricey. The food is subpar and overpriced, so consider eating ahead of time. The small lockers are $16 and will last all day. Unless you bring a small waterproof pouch for your keys and phone, you're likely going to want to rent at least one locker per group. Pro tips: - If you have a waterproof watch (i.e. Apple watch, Galaxy Watch) and you store a credit card payment in your watch, you can actually pay at the tiki bars and food kiosks with just your watch (if buying beer, you'll need to show ID the first time, but then you'll get a wristband so you can leave your wallet in the locker for subsequent trips) - There's plenty of fast food just 1-2 mins before the park entrance (McDonalds, Burger King, Wawa) so take advantage and eat before you get to the park - Wear water shoes! Flip flops are not good enough for most rides since they'll fly off, so you'll either have to leave them at the base of the stairs, or you'll have to hold the flip flops in your hands as you're coming down the slides - If you're not a season pass member and don't want to buy a membership, the McDonald's just before the entrance to the park will sell you discounted tickets - just ask (the Burger King may do it as well) read more

Being generous with three stars, the areas for kids to play in are in disrepair with many of the pipes and waterfalls not working correctly. At least this time all of the attractions were open to include the lazy river, which is the only reason it got three instead of two stars. Many of the food places were shut and we moved from the closed quesadilla place, to Rita's that was out of custard... The dining pass doesn't cover many of the meals and many of the snacks but it has some generic food that is mostly edible. A season pass for 60 or 70 bucks if you're going to go multiple times might be worth it if you can show up on weekdays and not wait in long lines, but if this was the only park I had access to I would not be a platinum member. My family of 14 and I went to Hurricane Harbor on Wednesday, June 28th. 2024. My only complaint was the children's area for 42" and under. They allowed older kids approx. 13-16 year olds in the area to use the slides. Some of the kids were running around playing tag. One of the bigger kids ran into my 5 yr old granddaughter and knocked her down. They were also cutting the line and pushing the little ones out of the way. In my opinion if it's for 42" and under then the bigger kids shouldn't be allowed. They have the whole park to enjoy. I hope they correct this situation. read more

I got a bone to pick with you Hurricane Harbor!! Where do I start? As a season pass holder and someone who lives relatively close I have the opportunity to come often and at off-peak hours. Hurricane Harbor closes much earlier than Great Adventure so obviously this place gets pretty crowded early on. I haven't found a good time to come here where you won't wait on a line. Another big problem, half the rides are always closed and the other half are understaffed. So now you have large crowds trying to squeeze in some waterpark fun before heading to the amusement park. Line cutting is out of control which leads back to the understaffing issue. You can put up a million signs with rules but if nobody enforces them what's the point. Unless you're looking to start a brawl on every damn line there isn't a lot you can do. The lazy river is straight up dangerous! They allow far to many people in here at once. They also let you in without a tube so I've witnessed plenty of tubeless children get mowed down but large adults in tubes. Outside food is not allowed in so you're stuck with their overpriced, gross food unless you hoof it back to your car. My biggest beef here though is how they pretty much force you to buy a flash pass or rent a tube (which you'll need to carry around with you and keep safe) just to get on some rides. If you don't, expect very long waits for the few rides that are open. read more

I enjoy this water park and it has a wide variety of amusements. My major complaint is that there aren't enough places to sit down or get a little bit of shade. Also, there are very few bathrooms in the park, and not enough signage. If you plan to visit the park often, it pays to get a season tube rental. The rental tubes are only usable on some of the rides. I enjoy the wave pool and the lazy river and spend most of my time in the park there. Don't miss them! read more

First n foremost their service is absolutely terrible they are extremely under staffed based on how many ppl enter their park. Lines are long for ever changing room, food,and the six waterslides they offer. I mean They don't even provide tubes for the Lazy River. Lol. We basically had to rent tubes for the rides as the tube lines are just as long as the ride. I also rented a Cabana online and to only find out they resold it when I got to the park. Then tried to accommodate me with beach chairs that didn't work either as they over booked them as well. Food is over priced as everything else in this park. They need more staff and tube's. The slides were not worth the wait. I got off all 3 that I went on and said ok that was not worth the wait in line so didnt wait for any more. And they were the bigger ones. One line looked ok so we got in it and waited 2 hrs because ther were 6 rafts for 2 slides and the return belt was so slow. And no one at the bottom pushing the rafts to the return they waited for the current to slowly get them there.Pools very crowded. If I didn't have a season pass wouldn't even go. read more

When you purchase the season pass, admission for their waterpark is included. The park operates different hours than the theme park and is open selective days for June (usually weekends from 10:30am to 6:30pm). They open all seven days a week in July and August. After Labor Day weekend, they officially closed for the year. The waterpark is great for school age kids and teenagers along with adults. It's not really geared towards toddlers (not for the price they charge for daily admissions and food anyway). They have daring water slides for those adventurous folks and there's also the wave pool and lazy river for folks who wants mild attractions. The food price is similar to any theme park and consists of burgers, pizzas, chicken strips and salads. I highly recommend that if you purchase the season pass, purchase the season dining and their season unlimited refills drink as well. A few visits will pay itself here. They do have changing rooms and shower stalls but is not meant for you to shower. The shower head is extra strong and you literally have to hold the shower button for water to come out. The shower stalls is just for rinsing your body. The bathroom stalls is located nearby but you'd have to walk out of the changing room. There's no toilet in the changing room and that's why it's called changing room, folks! I heard the ladies complaining why there's no toilet in the changing room,...really? In any case, my family and I have made great memories here and will continue to do so. The place should provide more shaded seated areas for customers. Coming here past 11am on the weekends are the worst! First, there are no seats available. Then, the crowd. I suggest if possible to come here on weekdays and when the park opens. read more

This was the worst park ever. You need to pay extra to rent a tube if you want to actually get on rides otherwise you have to wait on a line to get a tube just to wait on another line ti get on the slide. Tried to rent a tube and of course they were sold out smh! All the non tube rides were closed! Just one big money grab for a terrible park. On top of that we had preferred parking which the parking attendant said they were only excepting priority parking which does not exist as there is only preferred and handicap which costs extra. Visited Hurricane Harbor for the first time in about 10+ years! It was great for a hot day but super crowded aka long wait times. After waiting 30+ minutes for Hurricane Mountain, we decided to rent a tube since waiting for a tube has a long line in itself. The toboggan ride actually has a conveyor belt which brings the toboggan (aka long tube) up to the top and you can choose between a green or yellow track. What held up the line the most was the toboggan being sent up to the top. Other than that, the other tubes included on this ride was self serve so you wait on a line to get a tube to wait on a line to get on the tube (grueling). Renting a tube felt more like having a flash pass since we eliminated 15-20 minutes from waiting for one in the first place. We rented a 2 rider tube for $12. If you return the tube you get a $1 deposit. Now, I recommend this if you're looking to bang out the tube rides and lazy river first then return it when you're done. If you're doing things like eating, going to the shops, etc it could be annoying because your lugging the tube around making sure to watch it at all times to get your deposit back. You can pay a little extra to bring the tube into the wave pool but the wave pool was so crowded we couldn't even fit it there without running someone over. Speaking about the wave pool, my bf wore a life vest and the lifeguard told him to take it off...guess they rather have him drown? I need to know the reason to this so let me know if you know LOL. I am guessing because the waves can float you away? Not sure. They also kick everyone out which felt like every hour I guess due to the over crowding? The lazy river was so packed to the point that I was rolling over everyone with my tube I was trying to lay so relax in. This park is pretty small, we finished it within 3 hours including waiting on lines. If you're looking to put your stuff in a locker, be prepared to spend $16 and that's for the smallest one. The lockers aren't timed which is nice but $16? They know people come into water parks with towels, change of clothes, etc. That is just a rip off. Oh and parking is $30. If you're doing Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor there is a shuttle that takes you to the either park just so you don't have to spend another $30. A bottle of water is almost $6 and the food is expensive as well. I got my ticket for $38 but paying $38 plus $30 parking plus a $16 locker plus a $6 water (because who wants to be dehydrated?) comes out to a total of 90+ not even counting if you want to eat or buy yourself a gift. I wish they had a hydration station like Great Adventure so I didn't have to purchase a $6 bottle of water when I can purchase a pack of 48 for that price. Water, a necessity. Food lines were out of this world, just the overall crowdedness was overbearing. I feel like there has to be a better way to put peoples minds at ease while waiting and properly manage these rides. read more

First time going to Hurricane Harbor a few weeks back. It's hard to go wrong with water parks so wasn't disappointed with Hurricane Harbor but wasn't too impressed either. Went on a good 6-7 rides with some friends, one in which was one of those rides where you do down a dark tunnel and have to sit on one of those tubes, ended up falling off the tube while going down the tunnel and kinda clonked my head in the tunnel. No injuries though so it wasn't that bad and not really grading HH off of that. What was weird, possibly about Hurricane Harbor was the amount of young people that work here and I am not talking like first year college young, I'm talking like just hit teenage years LOOKING young. But that is neither here nor there I guess, as long as they are being paid and the rides are functional, that's what matters. Other than that, they typical theme park feel. Rides and overpriced food. Cool of course for a group of friends and families to enjoy a hot day out. read more

We have season passes to six flags because we live close by. The only reason why we go her is that we have small kids and they enjoy riding all the rides. The place is poorly run with huge lines and rude people at the park at times. My family visited the water park early to get seats which we did found shaded seating. However, around 2pm when the park got busiest a woman came to our area and started helping herself to our seats. We asked her to move nicely because we had a large party and needed the seats. She had refused to move and then we started arguing in which case I said I would get security. The lady said go ahead, so at this point I went to find your security personnel. I had explained to the security person the whole situation that a woman had tried to take our seats and we were there first. To my surprise, the employee said that they cannot do anything because it's a public area. I get that and all, but its common courtesy which some other guests does not have concerning first come first served. All I was asking for security was to intervene and ask the woman to move because the seats were already occupied. I asked the employee if the woman had refused already then I would have to confront her and then it might draw us into verbal or physical confrontation. I'm risking to be removed from the park because your security would not intervene on my behalf. When I returned, my family and the woman got into a shouting exchange because she would not leave. After a few minutes of causing a big scene the woman finally left. However, this really ruined our whole family's day when we had to deal with this. It could have been prevented if security would have stepped in. They should have some way assisted in diffusing the situation as we came to security personal for help. I felt that this could have been prevented had security stepped in. Six Flags is asking the guests to fight for themselves which we did. It could have ended differently for the worst because of their failure to intervene. If you go here employees will not help you if you have issues with other patrons. read more

First and foremost, nobody here cares about their jobs. Nobody. Now that that's out of the way... Of the seven different six flags parks we've been to this season alone (we're passholders), Hurricane Harbor is BY FAR the worst at handling general lines and Flash passes - even Great Adventure right next door has it down pat! No one knows where to direct flash pass holders, there are several "stops" before going on the slide (get tube, get on line, go up stairs, pick slide), all of which require you to show your wristband to a person along the way and saves little time after you've already waited your time off the ride. There are separate staircases that are un/underutilized and the fact that there are only 20-25 tubes available per slide makes for unnecessary waiting, whether you have a flash pass or not. Once you get to the top to actually go on the slides, the slow lines suddenly make sense. They have ONE lifeguard staffed for FOUR slides, and the cluster of six slides we went on had only two lifeguards there. So all the rides were understaffed where they obviously needed it the most, and as a result, 2-3 minutes would go by at a time before the lone lifeguard remembered that he hadn't sent someone down the blue slide in a while. Considering the fact that 3-4 "flash pass" people are staffed on each ride for the 5% of attendees holding flash passes and I'd call this a really inefficient use of human resources. When you complain to a ride attendant or lifeguard, they tell you to talk to their supervisor. When you complain to the supervisor (yea, I'm talking to the snotty woman working Bada Bing & Hurricane Mountain), they tell you to talk to guest relations. When you talk to guest relations, they tell you to talk to "Flash Pass" as if the flash pass is an actual person, rather than the inanimate object that it actually is. Apparently six flags has a deal with flash pass but no one seems to be aware of who's actually in charge, and no one has any power to do anything at all. Thanks for nothing. Hurricane Harbor does one thing really well though - they make it over-the-top obvious that THEY WANT ALL YOUR MONEY AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE! Parking is $25, although thankfully that's included with our season passes, so I'll let that one slide. Once inside though, if you're lucky enough to find some chairs, you'll then be treated to signs stating that "all personal belongings left unattended will be discarded" with the reassurance that you can rent an all-day locker...for $14. Yes folks, not only is Six Flags not responsible for your unattended articles (which is obviously understandable), but they will actually go out of their way to throw away your stuff for no reason other than spite. Tired of waiting to go into the overcrowded lazy river? Rent a tube for another $14 and wedge yourself right on in there. You can also take your rental tube onto three of the other rides, but for ones you can't, you have to just leave it behind and hope no one takes it (six flags staff included, because remember, "unattended items"). Oh, and here's a drinking game idea: Take a shot every time you see an ad while walking around this park...you'll be dead before lunchtime. I'm talking hair gel, broadway plays, grape juice drink...you know, things that people really think about when they're in a water park. I know I know, New Jersey sucks, but how on earth can Great Adventure - which is literally right next door - be so well run?? After the water park closed, we went over to Great Adventure, and we got on more rollercoasters and rides in TWO HOURS with NO FLASH PASSES than we did ALL DAY at Hurricane Harbor WITH FLASH PASSES. Other six flags parks in the east (I'm talking to you Maryland & New England!) are friendly, giving high-fives and fist-bumps after every coaster ride, and go out of their way to show (or at least pretend) they actually CARE about their customers, providing a fun experience, and moving people along as safely and quickly as possible. Hurricane Harbor couldn't care less. And neither could I. Skip this mess of a "park" and take your business elsewhere.... read more
