I wish I could give zero stars, or negative stars. We should have known from the beginning that this place sucked when they demanded $30 for parking. Why is parking not included in the price of a ticket? What the heck? We get there, and they search through our stuff saying we can't bring any food into the park. That makes sense, but we calmly explained that our young son has special dietary restrictions and cannot eat their food. They said he can only pick one item to bring in the park and the rest had to go back to the car or be thrown out. He got very upset that he could only pick ONE food item, and the security staff did not care. We asked to speak to a supervisor and nobody came. She kept demanding we only pick one food item. After all that, she sarcastically said "have a nice day" to us, which was honestly offensive. Once you're in the park, tough luck if you want to sit in the shade. This place will do anything to scam you into paying more money. You need a diamond membership to sit in 90% of the shaded areas. Since the park is so overcrowded, of course, the handful of seats in the shade that are scattered around the park are taken. I wanted to sit somewhere shady while my children played in the water because I have second degree burns, and it was hard to find anything. Now the slides. You have to wait 45 minutes in line at least to get on a single water slide. You need to rent a tube to function at this park, so that's another 7-11$. The lazy river is a joke, you will not find a tube unless you rent one. The fact that you have to pay more money to use things is ridiculous. This park is also disgusting! There are way too many people, there's dirt and leaves everywhere and even sand. The bathrooms are disgusting. The food is gross, deep fried, and over priced. I'm talking $7 for a serving of french fries. Since you can't bring anything more than a slice of bread from home, your options are pay about $20 per meal that likely has over 1000 calories and immense amounts of fat or starve for the day. Navigating around the seated areas is a nightmare because all the chairs are packed next to each other like sardines in a can. You have to step over people to get anywhere. Oh, and there are advertisements everywhere. This is a children's park but the umbrellas advertise beer companies. The wooden castle has huge fruit snacks advertisements. Everywhere you go, a brand is trying to promote something, even on things for kids. The staff is so rude and miserable. They give zero s*&$s about you or your children. They are also all required to do this very creepy routine where they scan the pool and nod dramatically, and they look like they're possessed. It's clear that they're not being treated well by the management, and it's concerning because a lot of them are really young. DO NOT GO HERE, PLEASE!! read more

Awesome place to spend a hot summer day. I wouldn't pay a daily price to come here, but being that I have a season pass I get into the Waterpark for free. The security line is always long, no matter if you're at the theme park or here. I don't bring in valuables, and slide my bag under a chair with my towel over it before going on the rides. Every time I come here, I splurge the $25 for the flash pass. You still wait the same time as the line does, but you can float in the lazy river or wave pool while you wait. I've never had a hard time finding a tube, but you can also drift along the river without one. The food is overpriced and not worth it - stop at Wawa down the road on your way home. read more

The least fun "amusement" park I've ever been to. Admittedly, I've been to maybe a half a dozen water parks, but this was easily the least fun. We are Diamond Elite Members who, on a whim decided to go to Hurricane Harbor. Thus no reservations. Did not know our Platinum Flash Pass did not work at the water park. "We are separate from the theme park" was the 'supervisor's' answer. The sign on the building and my Membership both say Six flags. Didn't matter though, even those with flash passes had to wait long after they beeped in their passes. Rides were ridiculously slow! I fully understand and benefit from the strict safety restrictions but tell me how it takes nearly five minutes AFTER the lower pool is clear to be allowed to let the next raft is released is following guidelines. Your maps and signs offer Play Money. Great idea, it took me three different people at the trading post to find some who knew what I was even talking about. Then to find that Play Money is not even offered any more. The staff was in general surly in nature but the attendant at the frozen drink station wins the Poor Customer Service Award. She was working alone with a long line with absolutely no hint of enthusiasm or urgency. After waiting in line for well over 20 minutes to get a frozen Jack and coke she points to a small displat on the machine that read "not ready." Her response to my irritated question asking i waited this long for nothing? Was "you should have asked" ASKED WHO? Out dated signage, poorly managed ride logistics, not being linked to the amusement park and irritatingly poor customer service are the reasons I will neither be back nor recommend Hurricane Harbor. I'll bet no one reads this far down. I wish you would prove me wrong. read more

I took my family here yesterday. It was fun but I don't like how they closed at 4pm plus I did a mobile order in the app at a place called stakes and fries I believe, and the app told me to wait while my order was prepared and I would be notified when it's ready I was waiting for a while so decided to ask and the tall server started yelling saying why am I just standing here. We had a whole argument cuz I said the app told me to wait for a notification very unprofessional also the stake sandwich and fries were horrible no flavor at all and small portions for the price read more

I really want to give hurricane harbor a better review however they only keep a certain amount of tubes available at the lazy river so you either wait a long time for one, go without one or pay $ to rent one. Then some of the other rides you have to wait in line for a tube and then wait in line for the ride so a lot of times you don't get to ride as many rides as you would like. They have a great selection of rides for everyone and lots of chairs so you can usually find a seat. The staff all seem very friendly and there's a good selection of food. I also don't like that adults are not allowed on the kiddie slides but what if you want to watch your child, you have to walk up with them and then run down in the hopes that they don't panic in the meantime read more

This review is for Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Jackson, NJ. Terrible experience.....stay away....the park should be shut down by DOH. The place close at 6:30pm Not only you have to pay $49 each for admission, but you also have to pay $30 for parking. That's without mentioning the $6 waters and the small meals of at least $15. The lockers are also very expensive, and overall the park is not worth the high prices. We spent over $300 There are too many people and not enough space for them. There should be a max of a couple hundred people in the park. There are lines for every ride for at least one hour, there are long lines for bathroom and food and even to exit out. You can't leave the park with out waiting in a line. We went to the wave pool, there were people stepping on me and bumping into me and apparently there's no such thing as personal space. The lazy river is a joke. There are not enough tubes. The park recommended you to rent a tube and carry it around all day. You have to be very aggressive in the lazy river to get a tube, there are garbage inside the lazy river. I don't recommend going with your family. Dorney Park is much better. I am very disappointed in my experience in this park. I had two kids under 48 inches and only got to experience one water slide with them Which I waited an hour at 11AM. The lazy river was overcrowded and the Life Guards were rude. I went to discovery bay and was told i couldn't go down the slides with my kids. I had to wait at the bottom. Then I took them over to Caribbean cove and the Adults were knocking down the kids every time the bucket dumped. I had to another adult yelling at my child because he wanted to get wet by one of the cannons. the Food here was horrible. over cooked burger and under cooked pizza and chicken fingers do hot they burn your human fingers. It I didn't have a season pass I wouldn't have chosen this park. I will be sticking great adventure and i am on the fence with getting a membership or season pass next year. read more

We are from Michigan and were visiting family in Pennsylvania. July 5th we purchased tickets that morning online to come that same day. The website made us register for entrance that day. We dropped our two older kids off at the amusement park and we took our 14 year old autistic son to the water park as it was 90 degrees. The shuttle took us to Hurricane Harbor where the line was wrapped around the parking lot to get in. They were still letting cars in which were literally driving towards the line of people to park. There were no employees controlling the line or stopping more cars from coming in when it was obvious they would soon meet capacity. We left and were told no refunds unless we first purchased amusement park tickets. It was very disorganized and disappointing. It was the only day we could go before returning to Michigan so now we are out over $100. Six Flags, you are crooks. read more

I took my son and his friend (8 years old) yesterday. We got lucky because 1) it was Labor Day so not that much of a crowd 2) It was pouring rain when we got there, so that probably kept a lot more of the crowd back as well. So lines for us were short all day. Sure we had to wait out the rain when the rides shut down and then the rides shut down again for thunder. But once they were open it was pretty easy to get on rides over and over again, except for a few of the more popular ones. Lines were slow at things like Hurricane Mountain, where the boys literally tried every single slide on the mountain out in a row with little or no wait. Again, take into consideration it was very low crowds today. So that part was good. The food is what we've come to expect from Six Flags in general. Fried and not very healthy. It's absolutely pricey, but we have a Season Pass and bought the meal plan so a few uses of the meal plan and it pays for itself. Kinda eases the blow of the expensive dried out burgers. Parking is another common complaint but since that is covered with the season pass, I don't complain about that. Yes lockers are expensive, but that's every waterpark. Now what really bothered me about Hurricane Harbor. It's filthy. Like disgustingly filthy. Certain areas smelled like urine. Other spots haven't been cleaned during the entire season. My son stepped it what I only hope was a old wad of paper towels and not odd vomit. Disinfected him right away after that. Seriously Hurricane Harbor, a little bleach and cleaners go a long way. They definitely can do a lot better on the cleanliness of the waterpark. read more

1. Call customer service I had a time to make sure I had the correct price of the tickets. 2. Screenshot it the information provided so that I had proof of the manager stating the ticket cost. 3. When I got to the amusement park (. Which I drove an hour) I was told the ticket price could not be honored because they don't know the customer service agent who communicated with me even though I provided the name and place. 4. I was told it was not their fault that I was provided the wrong information and that no manager in the park would agree to the ticket price (which we found one that did) because I have proof. 5. customer relations manager Lori and associate Dave had no clue of how to even contact customer service so they thought I was text messaging a random person. (so I had to show them the customer service contact link on their website) 6. To hold us back even more guest relations manager said they would not provide to honor the ticket price without us showing ID ( even though our pictures showed on our Membership profile when scanned. ) 7. The guest relations manager also suggested that me and my husband and our guests not be "asses" to them because they didn't know the customers service contacts online. I think it's better not to have a non-tech savvy Senior citizens in customer service especially if they do not understand how Six Flags want customers to contact them. You would have thought I was Jesus as I practically walked on water to escape the long back WEAVE that clung to my leg like an artificial jellyfish. This place is filthy. They should hand out bars of soap as they enter the pool, because many of the "guests" appear to have avoid a bath in weeks. In addition, I witnessed a very nasty woman at one of the retail booths. If I could give negative stars I would. You pay full admission price for a park with 4 slides open. They don't have enough workers to open all the rides. On the 4 slides that are open, the line to get on them is out the park. Brought my 4 year old daughter, waited in line for the smallest kiddie slide, only to be told she was a half inch too short and I couldn't even hold her and us go together. Okay this place was a mess. I used to go all the time, but haven't been there since 2007/2008. now: You have to pay for tubes. Lines are long. Dirty. Life guards are mean. $22 dollar parking. $74 for two tickets, with AAA discount. You have to pay for tubes. Rides are way confusing as to how to enter and exit. $9 for a funnel cake? Line for the bathroom, rides, tickets, tube rentals, locker rentals, food, drink, water fountain. I was waiting on line for a ride and they turned the sprinklers on, which its a water park and wouldn't of been a big deal if the water wasn't ice cold. They don't yell at people who are disrespectful or people who cut lines. Overall I am sooo disappointed! I used to love this place, it used to be such a clean and fun place to visit! Now they want money for everything, even locker prices went up. You used to be able to rent a locker for like $6 now the cheapest is $12 all the way up to $22. Staff was friendly, but other then that this place has turned into a greedy business. I will NEVER return. I mean seriously if you don't rent a tube for the lazy river you have to walk it? This has always been one of my favorite waterparks ... yes they charge you $25 to park and another $15 if you'd like a locker but to have a park dedicated to water rides is amazing. My personal favorite is the tornado (wish I could put one in my pack yard). The trick is to get there right when the park opens and go on all the rides you can for the first 2 hours. After that grab a spot on the lazy river or by the wave pool and relax! The park structure has changed recently where the lines are for the tube (vs to get on the ride) with this new structure it's worth considering a tub rental for $10 for a double or $7 for a single which gets you ahead of the lines may even be better than a flash pass but keep in mind you're stuck with a rental tube which don't work on a few rides. read more

On Tuesday we watched another park guest drag a toddler girl out of the 1.8ft deep kids pool. Her eyes were open and she was blue. He pushed some water out of her lungs before the first lifeguard even got to her. A few other lifeguards sauntered over slowly to join the first one. I held onto my kids tightly and got them away from the scene because I wasn't sure if they would be able to revive the child. I heard later from another guest that her hands started moving and they got her breathing again. I'm not sure if the little girl made it or not but the lifeguards didn't know she was in trouble until a GUEST pulled her out. Later, I heard overheard one of the guards ont he scene talking to another. He was criticizing a female lifeguard who had to be "pulled into the office because she was so shaken up" and he said that this is the 3rd time he's had to do that in 4 days. If that's true - those life guards are not paying close enough attention! Keep your family close and safe, don't depend on these teens to save your children's lives. read more

The biggest issue I had with Hurricane Harbor on my recent visit was a total lack of security. They have a metal detector and a bag search in the entrance but after that it is a free for all. All day long I encountered rude people and people doing ridiculously unsafe thing. The worst part is the employees ignored the problems or were ill equipped to handle the situations. In the lazy river a man began yelling and cursing at me over an inner tube. As he got increasingly loud and agitated other guests began to come to my defense. This took place right in front of a life guard who initially ignored it and then said he had no radio to contact security when others began to question him. Later on in the day while waiting for a slide, several people in my group (and a few others in the line) were being spit on by other guests above us. We alerted the employee working the line and she was unable to do anything because once again she didn't have any way to communicate with park security or a supervisor. She was very apologetic but in the end the unruly guests got away with their bad behavior while the rest of us got to continue to wait while covered in someone else's saliva. Not exactly how I want to spend a day after paying $40+ the ridiculous $22 parking fee. Aside from those bad encounters with other guests, we found ourselves continually confused about what entrances were for which rides. Also, the signs directing people for the flash pass vs. non flash pass was very unclear. A little directional signage would go a very long way in this park. Frankly I was surprised at how little signage the place has since it is a well-established park. It would also be nice if there was some attempt made to let people know how long the wait is for a ride. We kept getting in lines that didn't look too bad but in reality ended up taking over an hour. Most of the lines are in the direct sunlight and become very hot and uncomfortable quickly. Again, not really what I want to experience for the money I've paid. As for the cleanliness of the park, it was ok. It certainly isn't up to Disney parks standards but it wasn't completely disgusting. Honestly I don't think there is a way to have a water park that isn't at least a little gross. I might consider going back if I got free tickets but other than that I don't wish to pay to be put in unsafe situations and have a miserable experience. I can't recommend this park to anyone who expects similar service as other parks. With regard to many other parks across the nation, Hurricane Harbor easily ranks last. My family and I visited the park on Sunday, July 21st and were welcomed by $21 parking and the following: - Park staff are mostly friendly however lack seemingly fundamental knowledge about the park. -The line for each ride is easily over an hour, and up to three hours (for the Tornado, I believe). - The wave pool is over crowded, anticlimactic, and was shut down mid-day (reason unknown). - Lazy river is also overcrowded. I'm sure the park is better on weekdays or on rainy days (however, the park is closed if there is thunder or lightning), however I'm sorry to say I will not be returning to Hurricane Harbor after this experience. read more

I am a fan of water, not so much water parks, and def. not a fan of screaming kids, tumbling in front of me, and pushing me around. I went on a Tuesday, and it was still crowded, the wait line to do a slide is anywhere btw 20-30 mins EACH! The park itself has nice slides, the wave pool is nice and the (overcrowded) lazy river is alright. I really enjoyed myself! I thought the rides were fun and the wait times weren't bad at all. A lot worked in our favor. I went on a Friday and my friend and I got to the park by about 11:45am. There were ample parking spaces and the lines weren't bad at all (think 15 mins tops, maybe 30 for the more popular rides). We even started early doing rides twice! Another helpful thing was I ate before. So I wasn't starving and didn't give into the high prices in the park. The food prices were high and the portions were ridiculously small. I also bought lunch before and was able to get a hand stamp to eat my lunch in the car and come back into the park. I bought my tickets online but with a code I bought through eBay. The code was surprisingly legit and got us both tickets for $27 (after the outrageous $8.99 processing fee was tacked on). Another thing we did is to pack light. Only bringing little items into the park allowed my friend and I to use the one small $14 locker, because yes that price is exorbitant. But honestly all you really need in the park is maybe a towel or two, your keys, and a purse or a little bag to carry important items. If you can at all condense, do so. Coming on a day that was a weekday that also called for cloudy weather made it so we didn't have to buy tubes for the lazy river. They were floating as people went around and we just got the ones that weren't in use. Same for the Fast Pass. Didn't buy it. I couldn't for the life of me distinguish where the Fast Pass line was. It just wasn't necessary today. I don't know if I saw the attendants checking. PROS: -I liked the more unique thrill rides. The Tornado was so much fun and the Cobra was too. I just liked that they weren't your typical water slides. -The lockers were easy to use. I liked the code as opposed to the traditional lock and key lockers. -I personally felt the staff were friendly and accommodating. One girl even pulled us towards the slide entries as opposed to just letting us get our own momentum as some other attendants did. The gate staff - older guys - were nice and the security was attentive to a car accident we witnessed in the lot. CONS: -Obviously the price. I felt the price I paid was more than reasonable for the size and attractions. Many of the slides were pretty much the same, which is cool but nothing worth almost $43. -The women's' bathroom smelled of old urine. So nasty. And the women's dressing rooms were somehow out of order. -The ground is hot and sometimes not the smoothest. Without water shoes you have to go it barefoot. I was grossed out at first but adjusted. They sell water shoes by the way (probably an arm and leg though). -As mentioned above, there aren't too many rides here. We did the park in a day and rode some rides twice. It's a pretty decent size though. -Carrying those tubes up stairs! Tubes! Stairs! Rinse and Repeat! You will get a full body work out. In Conclusion: My biggest tip is try to go on an off day if you can. And maybe even when the forecast doesn't call for the perfect day. We were just fine with the periodical sunniness and clouds. It kept us cool and from getting burnt! Also, arrive early! You will thank yourself because people flock to the main attractions: Cobra and Tornado at peak hours. I'm not a big fan of water parks but this one is definitely worth going to. They have the wave pool and lazy river which I love. They also have giant slides for the more daring. They sell beer here so my dad usually just sits in his normal area and let us do whatever we want. My brothers always hit up the slides while my mom and I prefer the lazy river first and last :) This place gets very crowded on a hot summer's day so be prepared to wait in lines and be very close to others in the pool areas. It's an okay water park. I went over the past weekend and my two year old had a lot of fun. They have a small pool for the smaller kids, a smaller play area with multiple slides, and as the typical water park they have the playground area with the overhead bucket for the kids. My daughter is a water lover and she had such a great time. So I'd give it 5 stars for the is area. However, $30 for parking is a bit much. Not only that at the wave pools there were birds that were chilling in the pool and flying low over the seating area. Guess what, we had to still wait with kids screaming because the person who does express line went on a break. There was no one to replace him. He'll be back in 20 minutes. Really?!? This Waterpark is a scam, my girlfriend and I went there and the people up front lied and told us 12 rides and the lazy river were open, when we got into the park we learned that only 2 rides where open with the wave pool and the lazy river was closed. They are completely understaffed and all of their lifeguards could be seen on their phones instead of watching the water or opening more slides. I went to the customer service and the lady was rude and very harsh, she said they do not have any refunds which makes because this place is a scam and does not have enough staff to be maintained due to the piles of garbage and sewage randomly sitting around the park. Overall we are out $145.00 with park fees and parking fee. Please do not go and waste your money at this place it is a complete ripoff and waste of your time. read more

I saw this place had low reviews, but my boyfriend wanted to go to a water park and insisted this must be the best one because he loves the regular Six Flags so much. And I think we've all had bad experiences at highly rated places and had good experiences at lower rated places, so why not? Let me preface this by saying last year we went to another water park on vacation which was amazingly fun and wanted to try something closer to hom this time. Mehhhhhh. I shouldn't doubt you, fellow Yelpers. It's typical at an amusement part to pay out the ass for everything ($25 for parking, $16 for a locker, the price of admission). The lines don't LOOK long when you look at the towers, but for some reason, they don't let people wait on the towers. They have a huge line on the ground and let people over rarely. The first ride we went on, Tornado, had a huge line and people could only get in the tower line after someone else came down and then you took their float. Even though there were a pile of floats near the pool area. And you had to lug a huge raft all the way up the stairs instead of gradually if they let more people wait on it. Is it the towers aren't strong enough to support full capacity wait? Another ride has that conveyor belt that lifts up floats and this one REALLY could use it. After waiting about an hour for the first slide, we got restless and bought the Fastpasses. Which did help, but depending on the version you get, it's like an extra $25-65 on top of admission just to get a decent wait time. Other annoying/weird/frustating things: -there's no area to put your shoes and no signs saying if you can wear shoes on the rides. Other waterparks have clear signs and cubby slots for shoes. It's not like you can go without shoes at all. The ground is damn hot -they had tube rentals, but I couldn't figure out why. For the lazy river? Why would you have to pay extra to use an attraction? There was no one in the river almost the whole day so I hope no one paid for a tube they weren't allowed to use. No reasons posted why the river was closed -wave pool was nice but really crowded. Then they kicked us out by all the lifeguards blowing their whistles and motioning for us to get out. No reason. Was there someone drowning? Cleaning done? Something suspicious? -the slides closed twice due to rain. Which isn't the park's fault: that's the law and they don't want patrons to die. But they COULD have done some announcement so people knew approximate wait or what the deal was. It's like no one cares because you paid to get in, so they aren't that interested in you once that's happened. -the other water park I went to had a wristband that had your CC info so you could scan that instead of carrying your card in your swimsuit or frequently going back to your locker. This place had nothing of the sort (that I can figure) The lines were just SO long and it seems like there must be better ways to handle it. Like for a 30 second slide ride they let people on every 3-4 minutes. Clearly the slide has cleared by that point. The worst is trying to leave at closing time. It took us literally an hour to get from our parking space to the main road. Again, I haven't had this problem at other amusement parks, and since you pay $25 you think they'd have more than 1 lane to get out. Ugh. Sorry for the long rant. There WAS some fun I had in there, but I dread looking at my credit card bill and can easily say the fun is not worth the money. This was a totally decent water park. The lines weren't too long, we were able to get chairs when we arrived a little bit after the park opened, and the water was cool and refreshing. Please be aware, the twisty slides next to the speed slide are also speed slides. I don't know why I thought they weren't but I went for a harrowing, pitch black, starting to drown at the bottom ride in them, so just prepare yourself. I felt like I was going 50 mph. A few of the rides have an upper weight limitation of 200 lbs. They weigh you in front of everyone (after you've already waited for an hour to get to the front in the case of King Cobra), and I watched them turn people away. I think it would make more sense if they weigh you at the beginning, so you don't wait in line for an hour to be turned away and not be able to ride for weighing too much. My family and I like the rides, but this park lacks staff with manners. We had a few bad experiences here ranging from not being able to use the lazy river because the people instead of returning the tubes like they were supposed to, hogged them and would not give others a chance. The lifeguards were there and when questioned, their response was 'I know they're wrong by not returning the tubes, but we can't handle the mass of people'...so because of that we had no chance to enjoy the river. Another time our season passes supposedly 'were no good' so we were sent to guest relations where this blue eyed woman named Mary was terribly rude. She would not explain to us what was wrong with our passes (I had purchased them online on the New England site by mistake, so before I went to NJ I had to register in New England), but Mary did not have time to explain this to us, instead she got up from her chair and left us standing in the hot sun with 2 small kids and another lady named Tara had to come help us. We were not granted entrance to the water park even though I spent 300 and something dollars on 4 season passes and we had to turn around and go home with 2 disappointed children. We had driven up from Westchester County (a 2 1/2 hour drive). NEVER PURCHASING SEASON PASSES FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!!!!! I WILL GO TO LAKE COMPOUNCE INSTEAD!!!! read more

I'm a big fan of water, beaches, etc but I don't usually go to waterparks. Why? It takes forever to get on rides. I also am not a big fan of stuff like roller coasters. More on that later. We are novices so we came here on a regular pass, at first. They have many, many lockers available for say $15-$20+ for the day. Not bad, not great. I used the changing area to change and it is pretty disgusting. Now, while someone is cleaning the bathrooms, nobody pays attention to the changing rooms. There's no restrooms in there, but it smells like shit. People are definitely pissing on the floor and probably doing something else. When I left and changed back to street clothes, it took me forever. I am not a germaphobe, but it smelled bad enough that I made extra care that none of my body actually touched the floor. And listen, I've gone hiking in the mountains of rural China and used a bathroom that was all squat toilets with no barriers between them with no running water (including the toilets themselves) or soap and the changing room at Hurricane Harbor still smelled worse than that. AND IT'S NOT EVEN A BATHROOM. How is this even possible? For the love of god... Anyway, onto the rides. At first, we waited in line for this one ride and the line was huge. So we purchased these flash passes on the phone but found out you had to redeem it at a sales desk. That was a minor ordeal, but we got through it. They sell 3 levels of these things and the idea is that you don't have to wait in line. You just reserve a ride with a wrist watch thing they give you and it'll tell you when you can ride. Of course, you will still have to wait in the line of people who got past the first line. It usually doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes, but still. The cheapest option is $20 or $25 extra, and your wait time is the same as if you were to wait in line like everyone else - except you don't have to wait in line physically. The next option, the one we did (Gold) cuts the wait time in half. The most expensive option cuts it down by something like 90%. You can only reserve one ride at a time - if you reserve after reserving one (and haven't gone on that ride yet), it will basically nullify it and kick you out of line. I do not like roller coasters, and some of the people screaming kind of freaked me out for a little bit. However, turns out that pretty much none of the rides are really all that scary except 2 of them (which I didn't go on). The wave pool was mildly interesting for about 5 minutes though. It's basically full of people who have never swum in a real ocean with waves of more than 2 feet. Essentially, the only reason you might ever come here is if you pay extra money to get a flash pass. I'm talking about double price because the cheapest option still isn't worth it. The one we paid which was I think maybe $90 per person at the end of the day was OK. We go to go on a large handful of rides, but it's still not worth $90. I can't imagine coming here and not getting the flash pass. Why would you wait in line for 75 minutes for a 10 second ride that isn't that memorable? Honestly beyond me. The staff was helpful and that had that flash pass, which many people might not even be able to afford. Other than that, I don't see a reason to come here. I'd probably just change at home or in the car beforehand. No reason to risk getting some random disease carried through someone's shit because they didn't understand that the changing room is not a bathroom, even though there's a bathroom 100 feet away. read more

We were there on my birthday, June 14. It was Sunday. If we knew that the park is so crowded on weekends, we would never go there. We waited a shuttle bus for 30 min to get from team park to hurricane harbor. When it arrived we couldn't get in because of big line. So we decided to walk, it was our big mistake. It is a violation. We didn't know, because last year we were walking from six flags to hurricane harbor without any problem. Eventually we were almost sent home by security guy. It's good he didn't fill up papers. We went back, took a shuttle bus, and got inside the park in 2 HOURS LATER. I got only 2 rides for whole day. Never go there on weekends. read more

Great water park if you are able to get there on a day when it is not overcrowded - weekday or questionable weather. The first time we were there several years ago we went mid day after a trip to six flags or the safari. The lines were exhaustingly long and slow moving- I realized too late it would have been worth whatever the cost of a flash pass to bypass the horrifically long lines. There are only about 9 attractions and some only allow one or two rafts to launch at a time meaning long waits are inevitable on a crowded day. I hadn't been back for years until yesterday taking my son and friends for his birthday and the experience was completely different. We arrived before the park opened so were the first in line and even throughout the day the park did not get overcrowded. I insisted the boys go on the top attractions first - the cobra and cyclone - remembering years back these lines took an hour or more to get thru. The boys had such an incredible time and had hours of fun in the lazy river and the wave pool after a few of the slides. As a parent while watching your kids you can park and lounge on a chair in a couple areas close to the cobra, one on a beach volleyball court, or with the masses of people lounging on chairs by the wave pool. The pool alone is a huge plus that is crowded but crystal blue clean and I was so impressed by the safety at the pool. The lifeguards surrounding the pool - 4-6 of them - have this system of checking each quad of the pool and signaling to each other all is good in their area. And periodically (every hour I believe) they run a safety drill, clear the pool, and do a practice cpr routine on someone who looks like a customer. The first time I saw the pool clear I thought someone had "an accident," oh no - disgusting . Then I saw them pulling the person from the water and thought it was a real life accident - was a little horrified . Then asked and realized the team practices retrieving someone from the pool and cpr likely to keep their skills strong in case there ever is an accident. Kids surround and watch this which is also a great reminder to be safe in the pool as accidents can happen. I was really impressed. All the staff seemed very friendly. The food is park food. Unhealthy mediocre and overpriced but that's expected in a theme park. A negative - where is the good coffee in theme parks . Parents need caffeine to make it thru a 15 hour day after driving waiting watching kids - after finding one place that offers coffee the very friendly smiling teens who don't need caffeine to get thru their day yet -when I asked for an iced coffee asked "is that just coffee with ice ?" And gave me an average coffee with a fab smile . An untapped market : Starbucks or some coffee chain really should become a part of more theme parks. Highly recommend on an off day, a weekday, a cloudy day; get a flash pass otherwise. And get there before the park opens and get to the top slides first. Hurricane Harbor... what a trip. First, let me suggest you arrive early to avoid long lines, both at the entrance and while waiting to get on the rides. I came to Hurricane Harbor with my boyfriend and his family to enjoy the summer, and to start his birthday celebration. I was expecting more water rides, you know... deep falls, fast and wet, just anything that's crazy. I arrived there nice and early on a FULL stomach! We got on the Tornado first; the BEST ride! I was actually scared, thinking I was going to fall off the family tube... I recommend this ride. I did not have to make a line since I arrived early, but I do think it would be worth a line, LOL. King Cobra definitely did not live up to the hype! I was on the line, and I fainted. The staff at the line did not do anything, she just stood there like nothing happened. After seeing how mad my boyfriend was, the lifeguard at the actual ride ran down to try and help. I think that the staffs here are not prepared for anything; what the lifeguard did was cool and I appreciated it, but why didn't the staff by the line do anything when I was right in front of her? After reporting this on the website and giving the location a couple of calls, NOTHING WAS DONE... AKA, they will not be making another dollar from me! The Big Wave Racer was cool; I lost the race between my boyfriend, his sister, his nephew, and I; Maybe because I had to push myself so much since there was not a lot of water... TOO MANY of the "water rides" didn't even have enough water to get me wet... I ended up coming out the rides the same way I got into them, NEARLY COMPLETELY DRY. The Lazy River was relaxing, since I got on a double tube with my boyfriend... He pushed me around a little, and then we both were on the tube... hahaha! Some people walked there way around; I was not planning to do that since I got a tube right away.... which reminds me, DO NOT RENT A TUBE! My boyfriend wanted to rent two when we first got there and I said "NOOOOO," because I saw so many FREE tubes. I did not have to wait on tubes while there. The Wave Pool was awesome, a lot of big waves! The only bad thing about it is that they make everyone get out for 15 minutes to do a safety check-up or something... I don't think 15 minutes is needed for that! Overall, the Wave Pool was great, though, with a lot of motion in the water, and just the perfect place to go in with family to just laugh! **PLEASE DO NOT WASTE $10 on a funnel cake, it was disgusting! My boyfriend and I never had one, so we decided to give it a try... what a disappointment. I will never buy a funnel cake in my life! THE WORST AMUSEMENT EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! This is my first year getting a season pass for Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor. This whole season I have been going to Great Adventure and have a great experience each and every time. However, Hurricane Harbor is a much different experience. For non season pass visitors, parking is $25 and another $45 per person to get into the park. ($37 online). First off the security lines were extremely long because they only had 3/10 lines running! Finally after 30 minutes of waiting we looked for some lounge chairs to place our belongings. For a weekday there was not one empty seat at the wave pool area as well as the Discovery Bay (kids slides) area. Finally after 30 minutes of searching we found and empty seat at the wave pool area. If you are afraid of your belongings being stolen or misplaced, the "cheapest" daily locker will cost you another $15. We then learned that the lazy river (a big reason I decided to come) and Caribbean Cove were both closed due to maintenance. We went on THREE RIDES IN FOUR HOURS EVEN THOUGH THE PARKING LOT WAS NOT EVEN HALF FULL. This was due lazy staff, flash pass riders, people who rented tubes and the POOR MANAGEMENT! At the Big Wave Racer, only 3 of the 5 slides were open due to maintenance (what a surprise). Instead of waiting in the shaded queue line, we had to wait in the HOT SUN for 45 minutes even through the line was only around 20 people long. Finally we made it to the front and the employee named Madison nicely said that because of the lack of staff they could not allow us to wait in the proper queue. Conversation went on and she said that a man had screamed at her for 10 straight minutes because of the horrible time he was having. But passing the Caribbean Cove (which was closed) I saw 6 lazy "lifeguards" hanging around the ride just to tell guests that it was closed. Such poor management. The wave pool was luke warm the "waves" were almost non existent. Also, for unknown reason the lifeguards forced swimmers to get out of the water every 30 minutes and made us wait 15 minutes to get back into the water. I felt like cattle moving through a slaughterhouse when getting beeped out of the wave pool. In those 15 minutes the lifeguards did not clean or inspect the pool, they just talked and laughed amongst themselves while guest were waiting to get back into the water. As for the other rides we went on the staff were working as fast as snails and gave you dirty looks left and right. All in all, POOR MANAGEMENT, left early, angry and sunburn (from waiting in lines). Perhaps purchasing a flash pass for $25 per person or renting a tube for $15 would have enhanced my experience but paying almost $200 for 2 season passes, I should be treated like a human, and not like a piece of trash. read more

We made a reservation which I thought would allow us to enjoy the park without tremendous crowds. But the lines were all very long. Tubes were in very short supply. Even though we were willing to rent tubes and there were tubes available, We were not permitted to rent those tubes. All I wanted to do was float in the lazy river. We had purchased all season drink cups but they were not honored at a spot that posted an advertisement for unlimited refills of these cups throughout the season. Has been a huge disappointment. Went here last Friday with my new wife while visiting the area for a week and it was a great time overall. Tickets and parking were expensive of course, but instead of me spending $200 for 2 hours of playing craps in Atlantic City, this trip was a good compromise since my wife does not like to gamble much. Definitely get the Flash Pass if it is hot outside, as the lines got quite long in the middle of the day. On the day we went, it was not unbearably hot, (85 degrees), but getting the Flash Pass allowed us to ride everything at least 2-3 times. We didn't even have a chance to dry off! Our favorite was the Bada Bing Bada Boom tube ride... fast, a little scary because of the dark and splashy at the end. Only drawbacks- the food lines were long and slow... either need more people or more options such as mobile food carts. Only one place to buy booze. Wave Pool was eh... all the loungers and chairs were taken by noon and too many kids running around without supervision. And to ride the Tornado (awesome ride as well), you have to carry a MASSIVE 4 person tube up the stairs yourselves... not easy with only 2 people- needs one of those escalator-type things that transport the huge tube up to the top. read more

I'm not sure why six flags has a higher rating then this place. It's more fun 100 times better and you will get on the rides faster. One of the scariest rides i have ever been to is called the Tornado OMG!! best ride ever. Its a great place to enjoy in a hot summer day. Either with families or friends. I really enjoy all the rides no complaints. They do need to have more water rides since this is a water park but other than that everything was cool. I must say iam not a fan of their locker system its so complicated to use them. I suggest you leave everything in your car. The food sucks that one thing. Other than that i do recommend if your out with your family and looking to get wet then this is the place. read more

Took the kids here with another parent yesterday. Although the weather didn't cooperate in the morning ( it poured!!) we killed some time eating some of the food sold there which is typical Amusement park food. The weather improved in the afternoon and we had a great time! The rain made a lot of folks leave so there were no lines. We went down the tubes as fast as we could haul over selves back up the stairs. The park is very clean and well staffed. The employees are friendly too. Bathrooms were kept clear of toilet paper on the wet floors. I really had a good time and would go back. You'll be in the sun and wet most of the day so a swim shirt will prevent a sunburn and swim shoes might be good because the cement tends to beat up one's feet. read more
