I normally don't write reviews, but this experience has honestly been bothering me because I've ordered the exact same meal here before and it was always good. This time they were not busy, and when I picked up the order they said it was "perfect timing" and just ready. Unfortunately, when I got home the fried rice was undercooked, the food was cold, and despite specifically asking for it to be mild/not spicy, the General Tso's chicken was extremely spicy. I can deal with warming food back up, but undercooked rice and food that is far spicier than requested are much harder to fix. I guess I could have brought it back or called, but honestly I just didn't want to spend more time and energy dealing with it. I understand every restaurant can have an off night, but this was disappointing enough that I probably won't risk ordering it again. read more

We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, pan-fried pork dumplings, chicken and broccoli, and roast pork with broccoli -- and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The chicken and broccoli came with plenty of broccoli (which we appreciated), and the roast pork had great flavor without being fatty. The dumplings were nicely pan-fried, the spring rolls were crisp, and everything traveled well for takeout. Generous portions, easy pickup, and solid value. We'll definitely order again. read more

What a disappointment. Ordered chicken and broccoli in white sauce -- they got it wrong. Didn't realize until I was 20 minutes away at my boat. Drove all the way back for the correct order, and they couldn't even bother with a "sorry" or any kind of compensation. The so-called fried rice tasted like plain white rice washed in soap, and the chicken was bland to the point of being inedible. Save yourself the trip -- there are plenty of better options for Chinese takeout. read more

Your standard American (chinese) take-out restaurant minus the traditional bleached out pictures above the register. When craving this style of cuisine this place is better than most in the area. Your (American) standard options exists: American broccoli & chicken, American-style wonton soup, fried egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, tso chicken, sweet n sour, etc. The quality and service is better at this establishment. Just wished they offered a few authentic dishes even if only real Chinese vegetables vs American broccoli, peas, carrots, etc. read more

I got takeout opening weekend and put off writing my review because it wasn't going to be a very good one and realize they were brand new. Our chicken w/ broccoli dish lacked a good, flavorful sauce and was too greasy. The chow mein was meh. The noodle dish had much too much oil. I fee like some of these reviews are unfair considering it's a small place with a minimal menu. The food is great- typical Asian cuisine. The fried rice seems cleaner and not as greasy as other places. The people are so nice and every time we get delivery it comes quickly, it's always correct, and always hot which is not the case with a lot of places. The egg rolls are great! So I was in the mood one night recently for Chinese takeout. Most Chinese (traditional American Chinese) places are closing due to changing tastes. I was excited to try Six Happiness as it's relatively new. Horribly disappointed. Ordered "twice cooked pork with garlic" and it was close to inedible. They cut pieces of pork belly which were mostly fat and the dish was bland not to mention unlike any twice cooked pork I've ever had. One and done! read more

Best Chinese food in the area by far. Veggies are fresh and not over cooked. Friendly service. It's a takeout and delivery establishment primarily so atmosphere is clean/basic which is fine. Prices are a little high for Chinese but fair for the quality ingredients being used. It would be nice to see some less common/more authentic choices but it's a new establishment that can expand their menu in the future. read more

A little closer to authentic Chinese cuisine in that it seems they use a little less salt and oil than the typical Chinese take out. You can tell the quality of the food and certainly the preparation is higher than most Chinese takeouts. A little pricey though. read more

Very average not really what I expected for only Chinese place in all of old greenwich cos cob and riverside. Nothing to have me go back there and prices just went up.
